Videos show bin Laden watching himself on TV - Video

A poster featuring Osama bin Laden found by U.S. Navy SEALs during a search and destroy mission in the Zhawar Kili area, January 14, 2002

Home videos of Osama bin Laden's time holed up in Pakistan show the al-Qaeda leader watching news coverage of himself on television and rehearsing for his propaganda recordings.

The U.S. Defence Department showed the censored footage to reporters Saturday. The Pentagon is still weighing whether to release photographs taken of bin Laden after he was shot dead by the team of U.S. commandos that stormed his compound in Pakistan early Monday.

The videos were among a pile of DVDs, computer hard drives, USB keys and other materials seized by the Navy SEALs in their 40-minute raid.

The five movies offer the first public glimpse at bin Laden's life behind the walls of his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. The government-selected clips also provide an opportunity for the U.S. to paint bin Laden in an unflattering light to his supporters. The videos include outtakes of his propaganda films and, taken together, portray him as someone obsessed with his own image and how he is portrayed to the world.

One of the movies shows bin Laden, wrapped in a brown blanket and holding a remote control, flipping back and forth between clips of himself. The small television was perched on top of a desk with wires running to a nearby cable or control box.

In another, he has apparently dyed and neatly trimmed his beard for the filming of a propaganda video.

Officials said the clips shown to reporters were just part of the largest collection of senior terrorist materials ever collected.

Taliban say bin Laden's death will 'encourage' war | Like burning the...

HooRar!

Its all the same ~ is that a western politician or the Taliban speaking.

It how the Muslim world is controlled, whether you are a moderate or a radical. They both accept the same fear based control. And in their own ways both the moderates and the radicals are trying to share this with us ~ the moderates are trying to show us why it makes sense to be afraid ~ and the radicals will show us the results or repercussions of our 'insubordination' to Islamic ~ laws and norms or 'rule'.

KABUL, Afghanistan — The Afghan Taliban say the death of al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden will only serve to boost morale in insurgent ranks and encourage them in the war against the U.S. and its NATO allies.

In statement sent Friday by email to news organizations, the Taliban said the death of the terror leader "will give a new impetus to the current jihad against the invaders," meaning the U.S. and its international partners.

The Taliban praised bin Laden for his sacrifice in the war against the Soviets in the 1980s and said anyone who believes his death will undermine the current conflict is displaying a "lack of insight."

Bin Laden was killed early Monday in a U.S. raid against his hiding place in the Pakistani town of Abbotabad.

Morocco bomber set off two bombs with mobile phone

nail-packed bomb on Thursday, killing at least 16 people in
Morocco's tourist city of Marrakech, Monday, May 2, 2011.

Nowadays medieval is called diversity!

Islam has done nothing for them!

Rabat ~ the name for the capital of Morocco is also interestingly ~ the name of the building or area, constructed or set aside ~ so that the early jihadists ~ the first wave, those who brought these lands under Islam, could rest up, pray and launch further attacks. When an areas was taken for Islam a rabat was built ~ according to Muhammad's instructions. In North Africa the Berbers put up a fierce ~ there was one woman famously remembered for her part in battling the invading Islamic and mercenary troops. But in the end it was the mountainous people, those of the Atlas mountains who held out the longest. That Rabat is the name of the country's capital, was probably used as an area ~ as refuge for the then Islamists ~ to carry out running battles with resisting tribes and to weed out any non-Muslim practise in the surrounding areas.

Although they are all Berbers [according to the CIA Factbook - Algeria] ~ but those who call themselves Berber are still holding out somewhat today. When they try to give their children a traditional Berber name the state doesn't register the birth unless they are given one of the allotted Islamic names.

Rabat - The terrorist who killed 16 people in Marrakech on April 28 used two bombs weighing a total of 15 kilogrammes, which he set off with a mobile phone, Morocco Interior Minister Taieb Cherkaoui said Friday.

The minister was providing details of the attack against a cafeteria popular among foreign tourists, for which a total of three people have been arrested.

The main suspect is a Moroccan follower of al-Qaeda who had been planning trips to Chechnya and to Iraq to carry out attacks, Cherkaoui said.

However, he did not reach either destination, but was sent back to Morocco after being arrested in Portugal in 2004 and in Syria in 2007.

The suspect found work in the port of the city of Safi and established close relations with the two other suspects, with whom he made a vain attempt to travel to Iraq via Libya in 2008.

Burqa ban sees 27 offences recorded - Muslim women respect ban

FRANCE'S burqa ban has seen 27 offences recorded since it was brought into force.

The law bans people from covering their faces in public spaces, effectively outlawing the burqa and niqab Islamic dresses.

A report from the Interior Ministry says on average one or two women a day have been given verbal cautions since the ban began on April 11.

Minister Claude Guéant said: "A lot of people were worried about this. They said the law was inapplicable.

"In fact, the people stopped have complied and have generally been given a verbal warning," he said.

The most recent fine he said, went to an American at Charles de Gaulle airport.

Having returned from Saudi-Arabia she initially complied with the request to remove the veil, but was fined after putting it back on in the airport.

The maximum fine for breaking the law is €150 and or a course on citizenship.

Taking it Personal: Pakistan threatens to cut military co-operation with 'gung-ho' U.S.

General Ashfaq Kayani has demanded cuts in the number
of U.S. personnel on Pakistani soil and said ties would
be slashed altogether if another anti-terrorist raid was
launched there

U.S. officials called for the £1.8billion in annual aid that America sends to Pakistan to be blocked until the government in Islamabad explains how Bin Laden lived only a few hundred yards from the Pakistani Army training school.

Patrick Leahy, the chairman of the Senate subcommittee that allocates foreign aid, said: ‘It’s impossible for them not to have some idea he was there.’

It demonstrates that their loyalty is to Islam first. And Osama Bin Laden like it or not represented Islam.

But a senior British source said the U.S. would ignore the threats and launch another raid to capture or kill Bin Laden’s deputy Ayman Al Zawahiri – the new head of Al Qaeda – if they located him in Pakistan.

‘He’s next and they’ll get him if they can, however many feathers it ruffles,’ one official said. ‘It has always been likely that he is in Pakistan.’ The source said that General Kayani’s comments were ‘intended for internal consumption’.

With all money that was donated to Pakistan to rid the SWAT Valley of the Taliban ~ they made sure Christians [and likely other non-Muslims got not one penny]. In war that followed, they turned Christians away from the UN camps, paid for by western donations, telling them that their food was unclean, so that they could not cook it alongside Muslims and needed to go somewhere else. As a result Christians got no refugee status and none of the funds designated to rebuild destroyed property.

But the alternative is to let them be overrun by terrorists ~ or perhaps to them, the Taliban are not terrorists. Then it becomes India's problem and with nuclear weapons ~ it could quickly become the world's.

General Ashfaq Kayani has demanded cuts in the number of U.S. personnel on Pakistani soil and said ties would be slashed altogether if another anti-terrorist raid was launched there
Pakistan threatened to cut military co-operation with America yesterday as recriminations flew over the assassination of Osama Bin Laden.

The country’s army chief demanded cuts in the number of U.S. personnel on Pakistani soil and said ties would be slashed altogether if another anti-terrorist raid was launched there.

General Ashfaq Kayani, who is seen as more powerful than Pakistan’s civilian leaders, was voicing widespread anger at U.S. claims that the country’s intelligence agency, the ISI, sheltered Bin Laden for a decade.

He told colleagues that a decision had been made to reduce the number of U.S. military personnel to the ‘minimum essential’ levels.

A spokesman said General Kayani ‘made it clear that any similar action violating the sovereignty of Pakistan will warrant a review on the level of military intelligence co-operation with the United States’.

Earlier, the Pakistan government warned of ‘disastrous consequences’ if the U.S. staged a similar attack on its territory.

U.S. officials called for the annual aid that America sends to Pakistan to be blocked until the government explains how Bin Laden lived in a compound (pictured) right next to the Pakistani Army training school
‘Whenever there’s an American strike on Al Qaeda you always hear these public complaints but activities of that nature still continue with tacit consent,’ the source added.

Stealth helicopter ~ Bin Laden Raid - Video

Osama Bin Laden Evidence: Al Qaeda Considered 9/11 Anniversary Attack

al Qaida leader, Osama bin Laden, left, is seen in this April 1998 file photo in Afghanistan. The hideout of Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is pictured after his death by US Special Forces in a ground operation in Abbottabad on May 2, 2011.

An early read of the materials seized from Osama bin Laden's compound has not yet produced evidence of a specific, imminent terror plot against the U.S., but does show the group continues to have murderous aspirations, according to U.S. officials and to documents obtained by ABC News.

The trove of evidence U.S. Navy SEALs recovered during their raid of Bin Laden's compound, which cost the al Qaeda leader his life, shows that al Qaeda remained fixated on so-called soft targets like transportation.

A new bulletin issued tonight by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security and obtained by ABC News describes the terror organization's chilling desire to derail a train.

O Summa's Hut!!
"As of February 2010, al-Qa'ida was allegedly contemplating conducting an operation against trains at an unspecified location in the United States on the 10th anniversary of September 11, 2001," the document reads, using an alternate spelling for bin Laden's terror group. "As one option, al-Qa'ida was looking into trying to tip a train by tampering with the rails so that the train would fall off the track at either a valley or a bridge."

OIC Pursues International Shariah-Based-Blasphemy-Hate Speech Law ~ to Shield Islam From Scrutiny

This global blasphemy law is being pursued by states that either have no religious diversity ~ because it is illegal no to be a Muslim ~ and or the perpetuate the subjugated class of non-Muslims ~ as started by the Prophet as a way to spare their lives [when he killed the idolaters who refused to convert]. For example there is no penalty in Iran for killing a Bahai. And it looks very similar for Hindus and Christians in Pakistan and Copts in Egypt. In the Malidives, not to be left out ~ revokes the citizenship of any individual found to have changed their religion from Islam.

But it is deemed 'hateful' to cross examine the continuation of these long standing Islamic practises in the modern world. If people were dhimmis or slaves a long time ago ~ fine ~ but today this can no longer be.

This proposal paves the way for Islamic law in every country ~ of the subjugating kind. In the west ~ if for ex. some moderate Muslim starts a political party [they have denounced violence and everyone is hanging off their coattails ~ delighted] but what if their political platform included laws which they believe in ~ based on the Koran and the way Islam operates or is interpreted in most Muslim countries ~ women half the rights ~ Christians and other limited rights and freedoms ~ but to question it ~ as you would any political ideology put forward ~ would be deemed 'hateful'. Then you will have the Muslims along with the remember-the-colonial-days-we must-feel-sorry-for-this-groupies shouting down what would otherwise be a normal political challenge.

It is a free ride that freedom doesn't afford.

Instead of 'hate speech' ~ it is surprising that the OIC [Muslim group of nations] did not go with the 'racist' lead ~ as well!!

All those who don't agree with Islam are 'racist' and 'hateful' ~ approach ~ it has become a terrible joke.

Leo worries that the language of that measure, adopted in 2009 without a vote, “opens the door” to new laws that would make it a crime to criticize the behavior of religious believers.

“The problem is, 'hostility' could arguably encompass a much broader category of speech and conduct,” Leo said. “The U.S.-Egypt resolution said that countries should take actions to prevent incitement, hostility, or discrimination. Now, what is 'hostility'? We don't know.”

The same can be said of Islamophobia ~ what is it? You left Islam ~ you no longer like it ~ now you are an Islamophobe. You learned about some of the things Muhammad did to spread Islam in Arabia ~ and you don't like it ~ now you are an Islamophobe. You have seen people arrested for leaving Islam ~ you don't like it ~ now you are an Islamophobe.

It certainly looks like an encroachment on individual freedoms ~ of which Muslim nations ~ these deluded centers ~ have no trouble with.

McGuire believes the new resolution's central flaw is its failure to distinguish between speech that some may find offensive or provocative, and speech that constitutes an incitement to violence against members of a religion.

“Incitement to violence is something that's already condemned in international law,” she said.

Right now we are allowing this to control or to needle us ~ but what we have got to do is to change our language and forcefully go after what they are doing. The treatment of women, religious freedoms, the long-standing apartheid system for non-Muslims. We should in turn make proposals that put them ~ and the things under the canopy of Shari'a ~ under the magnifying glass. Exposure is a good thing. Needling needn't be harsh. Where are all the Muslim women at the Olympics, for example. Should men only teams be allowed? Why can't a Christian be President in a Muslim majority country? Why can't non-Muslims join the military in Pakistan?

Washington D.C., May 5, 2011 / 05:49 am (CNA/EWTN News).- Muslim countries may seek a United Nations resolution that would brand criticism of Islam and other religions as “hate speech,” a top U.S. religious freedom official is warning.

Earlier this year, Islamic nations lost their most recent bid to pass a resolution against “defamation” of “vilification” of religions in the U.N. Human Rights Council. Now they appear to be pursing a new tactic, said Leonard Leo, a presidential appointee who chairs the bipartisan U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom.

“My concern is that the Organization of the Islamic Conference will now try to get 'defamation of religions' and 'blasphemy' resolutions passed through the back door – that is to say, by pushing the 'hate speech' issue,” he told CNA.

Mubarak's interior minister sentenced to 12 years in jail

An Egyptian man holds a sign that reads in Arabic,
'The youth of the January 25 revolution demand the execution of the butcher'
and shows a noose around the neck of former Egyptian Interior Minister Habib
Al-Adly during a protest outside the New Cairo court
house in Cairo, on March 5, 2011, during the opening of the former minister's
trial for money-laundering, the first member of ousted president
Hosni Mubarak's regime to be taken to court in a
sweeping corruption investigation by the new authorities.
Islam-p'islam ~ where's the flipin' cash!!

The trouble is there is no perfection ~ and across the Muslim world they set up states expecting the Islamic utopia. Over a system of checks and balances to allow a degree of openness and accountability around those in control.

In handing over their religious rights ~ all their rights are seized!

AFP - A court sentenced once feared Egyptian interior minister Habib al-Adly to 12 years for money-laundering on Thursday in the first trial of an official from the regime of ousted president Hosni Mubarak.

Adly, who ran Mubarak's security services for more than a decade before the strongman's overthrow in February in the face of 18 straight days of mass protests, was also convicted of illicitly enriching himself while in office.

He had pleaded not guilty to both charges.

The disgraced former minister now faces a second trial on charges of ordering police to open fire on demonstrators.

Discombobulation: Senior Al Qaeda member surrenders to Saudi authorities

No fight left!!
If there were the weapons of today ~ Islam could not have spread. The flight from Arabia with Islam would have been put down.

This is a new era ~ it is the era of ~ we the people!! And our collective prophet-hood. If you have a good idea ~ bring it to the table ~ but no one idea will be followed blindly.

A senior Al Qaeda member Khaled al-Atifi al-Qahtani has given himself up to the authorities in his homeland Saudi Arabia, the country's SPA news agency said Thursday.

Al-Qahtani is the first Al Qaeda member to surrender since the group's leader Osama bin Laden was killed in a US operation Monday in Pakistan's Abbottabad city.

"Khaled al-Atifi al-Qahtani, one of 47 Saudis abroad wanted by the security authorities, contacted the security bodies expressing his willingness to be helped to come back home and to turn himself in," Saudi Interior Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Mansour Al-Turki said.

"A matter was arranged and facilitated to realise his return and to be reunited with his family as soon as he arrived in the Kingdom," the spokesman said.

Saudi Arabia offers cash rewards for information leading to the arrest of Al Qaeda members on its wanted list, compiled earlier this year. The document is the latest of five terrorist wanted lists drawn up since a series of attacks on the kingdom in 2003.

In November 2010, the Saudi authorities announced that they had arrested 149 suspected Al Qaeda members and uncovered 19 terrorist cells in the preceding eight months.

Out of Sight, Out at Sea: Radical Muslims already name location 'Martyr's Sea'

Osama bin Laden's body was taken out to sea aboard the USS Carl Vinson officials have confirmed

Perhaps Obama's decision to throw Bin Laden in the sea ~ did Muslims a favor. Now the moderate Muslims can champion that his version of Islam had nothing to do with the 'real' Islam. That rather than him spouting Koran and Hadith, chapter and verse, in support of his action ~ his revealing image ~ lies beneath the sea. As this is how Islam was founded. The peaceful ~ no compulsion ~ [with] 100-strong-followers Muhammad ~ was but a blip in the rise and rise of the man. Whose reign of terror ~ still haunts the Muslim mind ~ and has spurned the actions that now threaten the world.

The candy-coated Islam will never arise ~ unless Muslims acknowledge the individual rights of each other ~ first ~ in the acknowledgement that things done in the past ~ to protect, defend or spread Islam can no longer be practised today.

Radical Muslims are already calling the site of Osama bin Laden’s ocean burial the ‘Martyr’s Sea’, according to one of Britain’s leading Islamic scholars.

The US said the decision to drop bin Laden’s body into the North Arabian Sea was taken to avoid creating a shrine for the slain Al Qaeda chief.

But Abdal Hakim Murad, Muslim Chaplain at Cambridge University, claimed yesterday that the move could backfire on the Americans.

Buried at sea: Bin Laden was disposed of overboard the USS Carl Vinson in the North Arabian sea following DNA tests

Speaking on Radio 4’s ‘Today’ programme, he said it was ‘disappointing’ that bin Laden wasn’t taken into custody.

‘By tipping him into the sea, the Americans may have created a kind of shrine. Some radicals are already calling the Arabian Sea the Martyr’s Sea,’ he said.

‘Given Muslim ideas of holiness diffusing over large areas it is possible that a pilgrimage will develop as radicals stand on beaches contemplating the virtues of their dead hero,’ he added.

He said that one of America’s greatest achievements of the last century was President Truman’s insistence that Nazi war criminals should be tried at Nuremberg.

Abdal-Hakim Murad, British Muslim preacher and broadcasterOsama Bin Laden was quickly buried at sea following his death

Backfiring: Timothy John "Tim" Winter a.k.a. Abdal Hakim Murad said that dropping Bin Laden in the sea the American's may actually have created a shrine

Condemnation: A group of supporters gather following Bin Laden's death. A leading Islamic scholar has warned that his burial could lead to his supporters gathering on beaches contemplating the virtues of their dead hero

But after bin Laden’s death in the US commando raid in Abbottabad, he suggested that full justice had been denied.

‘Conspiracy theories in the Muslim world and beyond may now gain momentum. For too many, the dark lord is still among us or was innocent all along and that belief cannot bring the closure that America and the world rightly crave.

‘Muslim scholars have been worried about the manner in which his mortal remains were consigned to the deep, he added, saying that Islam’s most respected scholars had already decreed the sea burial ‘religiously improper.’

‘Even mass murderers deserve a religiously valid burial. We are judged on how we behave when in a position of strength,’ he said.

Indonesian Islamists hailed Osama bin Laden as a martyr

A member of radical group Islam Defenders Front walks past posters of Osama Bin laden and U.S.President Barack Obama

Clearly stunned Islamists!! They have to gather their bearings now.

(Reuters) - Indonesian Islamists hailed Osama bin Laden as a martyr on Wednesday, illustrating sympathy for the al Qaeda leader killed by U.S. forces among Southeast Asian militant groups, one of which predicted a major reprisal attack.

Indonesia and the Philippines, both home to militants with links to al Qaeda, have stepped up security after the killing of bin Laden on Monday, with Jakarta increasing police presence ahead of an annual meeting of regional leaders at the weekend.

"If it is true that was him, it was bin Laden who won, he has had that victory he dreamt of, that is to be shot dead as a martyr by his enemy," said Son Hadi, spokesman for Jema'ah Ansharut Tauhid, a legal Islamist group founded by firebrand cleric Abu Bakar Bashir.

"The impact of his demise is that Osama will be appreciated with prayers, support and some hateful comments against the U.S.," he said. "I am certain that the U.S. will experience a major disaster."

Members of hardline group Islam Defenders Front (FPI) gather by portraits of Osama Bin Laden and U.S. President Barack Obama

Links between al Qaeda and domestic militant groups such as Jemaah Islamiah and Abu Sayyaf have weakened in recent years following military crackdowns, and analysts say a quick reprisal attack is unlikely.

"I think the major impact would be in Indonesia," said Sidney Jones, of the International Crisis Group in Jakarta. "I think if groups are bent on trying to mount a revenge attack, it will take some time to put even a simple plot together."

Al Qaeda is believed to have supported some of the Jemaah Islamiah's attacks, such as the 2002 Bali bombings that killed more than 200 people.

Recent militancy in Indonesia, such as a spate of parcel bombs in the capital, appears more aimed at domestic targets such as police or those promoting pluralism.

Members of hardline group Islam Defenders Front (FPI) look at portraits of Osama Bin Laden projected on a screen during a prayer for the slain al-Qaida leader at their headquarters in Jakarta, Indonesia, Wednesday, May 4, 2011.

Indonesia's Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) held a meeting on Wednesday to show gratitude for the "services" of "martyr" bin Laden at its headquarters in Jakarta.

A poster on a wall near the venue said bin Laden's killing by the U.S. military was cowardly and infidels had celebrated with a party over his death.

"May in future be born other Osamas who are even braver to fight for Islam," the poster said.

"Our blood is boiling because we want to crush the American soldiers to bits," said a speaker at the event.

High-strength marijuana plants have been found just yards from the luxury home of slain terror chief Osama Bin Laden.

Hundreds of the exotic green flower have flourished for a number of years on the border of the war lord's secret compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

Despite being a short walk from a military training academy dubbed 'Pakistan's Sandhurst', the illegal crop had remained undiscovered.

But hundreds of officials have descended on the busy town this week after Bin Laden was blasted in the brain by U.S. Navy Seals.

An American reporter noticed the pungent line of plants growing in the dry fields surrounding the five-metre high concrete walls.

CNN's Nic Robertson showed to the camera the marijuana hidden alongside other crops including cabbages and potatoes.

The discovery raised the possibility that Bin Laden may have been a regular smoker of the 'weed' strain of the plant.

Bin Laden had in recent years suffered from kidney problems which may have been eased by taking marijuana for its medicinal properties.

The searing heat in the northwestern region of the country would provide ideal conditions for the plant to grow.

Pakistan makes around $4billion a year from drug trafficking - though opium is more popular than cannabis.

More details about Bin Laden's lifestyle came from local residents who spoke of their experience of living next to the world's most wanted terrorist.

A nearby shopkeeper said that two young men who lived inside the compound with Bin Laden made regular trips for bulk food orders.

The two lackeys called themselves Akbar and Rashid Khan and did the daily shopping in the Pashtu-language accents of Waziristan, a region on the Afghan border.

Grocer Anjum Qaisar, 27, who works 150 meters from the compound, said: 'Bin Laden’s men never came by foot, they always drove a Pajero or a little Suzuki van, and they bought enough food for ten people.'

Mr Qaisar said that he did not know who lived inside the building. 'I was curious about why they bought so much food, but I did not want to be rude by asking,' he told Bloomberg.

Bin Laden told him: "I would rather receive two bullets in the head than be taken prisoner. I want to die a martyr – but certainly not in prison."

Nasser al-Bahri, one of the al-Qaeda’s leader’s most trusted members of staff, disclosed that in August 1998, whilst they were hiding in caves in Afghanistan, bin Laden had handed him a loaded gun.

Honor Killing USA - Man accused of killing stepdaughter, 20, for not following Islamic law - Video

You know this is a train wreck ~ she takes her daughter and marries a Muslim guy. And he kills her.

Amina and Sarah SaidWhat a mess to drag your daughter into. [If that is the mother - she'll need black on ~ for the funeral]

The argument for Islam has become so extreme ~ that anything that challenges Islam is deemed hateful ~ essentially making everything about the ideology perfect ~ making people afraid to listen. But there are honor killing red flags all over this ~ the stepfather was overbearing ~ [coupled with often a Muslim origin mother who doesn't have the confidence to stand up for her own child] ~ and after a big dispute about what the child should be doing in accordance with Islam ~ the child then runs away ~ and the father says he wants to make amends, wants to reconcile ~ and you can name the girls who died like this.

Both the sisters on the right were killed by their Egyptian father. For dating! While agreeing to meet with the father to work out things out!! He shot them in the back of his taxi cab, and left them at the airport to die.

A Coon Rapids man has been accused of killing his stepdaughter in Michigan Saturday.

Rahim Alfetlawi, 45, was arraigned in court Monday in Macomb County on a first-degree murder charge. He was being held without bail and is due back in court May 12.

He allegedly shot and killed Jessica Mokdad, 20, at her grandmother’s home in Warren, Mich., a suburban of Detroit, Mich.

Did Bin Laden go to hell ?

"I am one of the servants of Allah. We do our duty of fighting for the
sake of the religion of Allah. It is also our duty to send a call to
all the people of the world to enjoy this great light and to
embrace Islam and experience the happiness in Islam.
Our primary mission is nothing but the furthering of this religion."
Osama bin Laden (1957 - 2011) [+]

A good word:

Few people understood Islam as Bin Laden did.
He was a man who truly believed in the cause to bring the world under ~ Islam.
And it was a fight ~ in the cause that Muhammad started ~ to the end.
We know that he did not succeed and that there will be others
who will fight to bring all under the enslavement
of Allah who resides in the Arabian Kaaba.
And that these followers will meet similar ends ~
until the mission to convert the world is let go of
and the Islamic sword is raised no more.

After killing the man ~ the American special services performed the last rites ~ before throwing him overboard. A part of the ceremony, called un-Islamic by some ~ [isn't thast what all the killings have been about ~ what is un-Islamic] ~ was to keep him out of hell.

And then there’s the matter of the “prayers” that were said after bin Laden’s corpse was carefully washed and wrapped in accordance with sharia law:

O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, those who are present among us and those who are absent, our young and our old, our males and our females. O Allah, whoever You keep alive, keep him alive in Islam, and whoever You cause to die, cause him to die with faith. O Allah, forgive him and have mercy on him, keep him safe and sound and forgive him, honor the place where he settles and make his entrance wide; wash him with water and snow and hail, and cleanse him of sin as a white garment is cleansed of dirt. O Allah, give him a house better than his house and a family better than his family. O Allah, admit him to Paradise and protect him from the torment of the grave and the torment of Hell-fire; make his grave spacious and fill it with light. O Allah, do not deprive us of the reward and do not cause us to go astray after this. [Emphasis added]

It seems that the BBC is trying to put a negative spin on the use of the word or name Geronimo ~ that it is associated with the wild west ~ which seems to imply disrespect for Pakistan's sovereignty [at least in name Pakistan is a sovereign nation]. And throws up the idea of similarities between Bin Laden and the Native America Geronimo ~ alluding capture in the mountainous regions of the US west and Pakistan ~ and the supposedly indiscriminate killings.

Forget all that ~ we need just think back to the WWII and the unbreakable code that helped the US and allies win the war ~ was based on the Native American language. With all that has happened in the US history ~ I think we can be a little bit more grown up, than the BBC's  suggestion. So the name obviously conjures an image of bravery ~ and running like the wind ~ daring ~ it was in the spirit of the man that ~ most likely ~ the name Geronimo  was invoked.

The code name for the operation to capture Osama Bin Laden was Geronimo. Why was it named after one of the best-known Native Americans?

Geronimo. The Apache warrior's name conjures up an image of the American Wild West, the world over.

In the best-known photograph of him - taken in 1887 - he glares defiantly into the camera, gripping a rifle. It was this fearless warrior that led the last band of Apache resistance to the white Americans.

The fact that Bin Laden had been killed by US special forces was reported to President Barack Obama on Sunday with the words "Geronimo EKIA" - Enemy Killed In Action.

But US officials have not commented on why the name Geronimo was chosen - and may never do so.

Old West reincarnated
It was back in 2001 that the narrative for America's hunt for the al-Qaeda leader became strewn with Wild West imagery.

UK: Nuclear site terror arrests - Video

There was a promise that if Bin Laden was killed ~ that followers would attempt a nuclear attack. Intelligence gained from [or threats made by] Gitmo detainees [according to wikileaks].

Five men are being held under the Terrorism Act after being arrested close to the Sellafield nuclear site.

The men, who are all from London and aged in their 20s, were arrested on Monday shortly after 1630 BST.

The arrests were made after Civil Nuclear Constabulary officers conducted a stop check on a vehicle close to the Sellafield site, in Cumbria.

The BBC understands the men were taking photographs and are all believed to be Bangladeshi.

The arrests are not thought to have been intelligence-led.

The men were held in Carlisle overnight and then moved to Manchester.

Egypt Muslim Brothers echo Iran ~ on Osama bin Laden/ US

Brotherhood called on the US to pull out from Afghanistan

TEHRAN, Iran said on Monday the death of Osama bin Laden has removed "any excuse" for the United States and its allies to deploy forces in the Middle East under the pretext of fighting terrorism.

"US and their allies have no more excuse to deploy forces in the Middle East under pretext of fighting terrorism," foreign ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast was quoted as saying on the website of Iran's English-language Press TV channel. AFP

Ezzat said the United States had long used Bin Laden and his extremist network as a "pretext to wage war in Muslim countries."
 Muslim Brotherhood

MB says, ''terrorism was mixed up with Islam'' & "Islam is not Bin Laden" ~ though Islam's history tells a very 'different' story.

The rejection of Bin Laden is a retraction of Muhammad's vision. Either Muslims retract it or it will be retracted for them.

Obama said it best ~ 'we' make up our minds what we want to do.

CAIRO (AFP)— Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood said on Monday that Osama bin Laden, who was killed by US forces in Pakistan, did not represent Islam and said the United States should pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan.

"Islam is not Bin Laden," Mahmud Ezzat, the Brotherhood's number two, told AFP.

"After September 11, there had been a lot of confusion. Terrorism was mixed up with Islam," he said. "In the coming phase, everyone will be looking to the West for just behaviour."

The Muslim Brotherhood was long banned under ousted president Hosni Mubarak, but it has since formed a political party and plans to contest elections.

Ezzat said the United States had long used Bin Laden and his extremist network as a "pretext to wage war in Muslim countries."

"The United States should pull out (of Iraq and Afghanistan) because it should not be occupying these lands, not because Bin Laden is dead," he said.
