New Video Surface: CAIR leader - "Who better can lead America than Muslims?"

A kinder gentler Islam ~ for America and its future under Islamic rule.
No hand chopping [at first], but dhimmi status ~ well... maybe!!
You may be surprised how 'fair' you would be treated.
Although if you do convert to Islam ~ full citizenship can be yours!

[We may reserve the right to levy a small tax on those who wish to remain ignorant of Islam
~ the jizya. ~ in Arabic ~ see Koran 9:29
No non-Muslims can be president.
Unmarried men and women will no longer be allowed to congregate in the public space
Muslim holidays and rituals will have the protection and be enforced under state law.
This may include a short prison term for eating during the Holy Month of Ramadan ~ in the day of course!
Religious freedom will be limited to the practise of Islam and respect for Islamic laws.
Church construction may face certain restrictions.]

And remember ~ we can explain the Shari'a better than the Islamophobes!

The CAIR's leader's statement closely reflecting CAIR founder Omar M. Ahmad's remarks:
"Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant" he said. "The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America , and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth," he said.

Truthfully anybody can dream ~ but what if people are dreaming of something else ~ when dreams collide!!

The same national Muslim leader who's launched an "education campaign" to quell American fears over Shariah law once gave a full-throated speech to Muslims advocating an Islamic rise to power in America.

In a newly surfaced video of a 2000 speech to the Islamic Society of North America, Council on American-Islamic Relations Executive Director Nihad Awad told his Muslim audience: "Muslims in America are in the best position to show Islam and to show action and to show vision – not only for a Muslim school, how it should be run, but for an entire society, how it should be run. Who better can lead America than Muslims?"

The Justice Department named both ISNA and CAIR unindicted co-conspirators in a criminal scheme to funnel millions of dollars to Hamas suicide bombers and their families.

In the same speech, "Participating in Public Affairs: Strategies for the Year 2000," Awad encouraged Muslim-Americans to be more assertive with U.S. politicians.

"They should be a servant to our issues," he said. "We should be respected."

Specifically, Awad advised that Muslim-Americans demand politicians include in their national speeches and party platforms that America is also an "Islamic society."

"This is no longer a Christian-Judeo society," Awad maintained. "It is a Christian-Judeo-and-Islamic society."

Egyptian convert to Christianity and teen daughter escape from Egypt amidst chaos ~ fly to Syria in the hopes of obtaining visas to US

Converts from Islam Maher El-Gohary and daughter Dina.

He has lost weight. Being chased around Egypt ~
for leaving Islam ~ the daughter at one stage had acid thrown on her.
Though El-Gohary and his daughter have a dark outlook on their current situation, they are still grateful.

“Without God’s love, we would have been dead by now,” El-Gohary said. “Getting out of Egypt itself was a victory from God.”

Dina said she also is thankful, but that as she gets older she is becoming increasingly preoccupied by one wish.

“I want to get out so I can finish my studies,” she said. “I want to go into a church and out of a church without being scared of being killed.”

Don't forget that they were mentioned in the US State Department Religious freedom Report ~ see below

...according to the U.S. Department of State’s 2010 International Religious Freedom Report. While there is no official state religion in Syria, the constitution requires that the president be Muslim and stipulates that Islamic law is a principal source of legislation.

You can count the Muslim nations where non-Muslims are not allowed to be president ~ that is the Islamic dhimmi status ~ directly based on the Shari'a law, which states that a non-Muslims cannot be equal to a Muslim.

The good news is that Syria is in turmoil ~ it is likely they will go unnoticed by officials there as well.

We say escaped from Egypt ~ once found to be a convert from Islam ~ an individual's travel documents are confiscated ~ as were this father and daughter's when they previously tried to leave. The father's conversion came to the attention of Egyptian authorities when he applied to the court to have his religion officially changed on identification documents.

Family gets mention:

International Religious Freedom Report 2010: Egypt

The court stated that “public order” is defined as the official religion being Islam, that most of the population professes Islam, and that Islamic law is the primary source of legislation. The ruling remained under appeal at the end of the reporting period. The Cairo Administrative Court ruled in June 2009 to deny Maher al-Gohary, another Muslim-born convert to Christianity, an identity document indicating his conversion to Christianity.

On June 13, 2009, the Seventh Circuit Court of Administrative Justice ruled against Maher al-Gohary, a Muslim convert to Christianity who filed suit in 2008 seeking government recognition of his conversion, including by changing the required religion space on his national identity card to indicate “Christian.”

In September 2009 Cairo International Airport security officials prevented convert from Islam to Christianity Maher al-Gohary from leaving the country with his daughter. Security officials also seized his passport. At the end of the reporting period it remained unclear if authorities had a legal basis for taking the passport or refusing to issue a replacement.

CAIRO, Egypt, March 21 (CDN) — When the plane carrying Maher El-Gohary and his daughter, Dina Mo’otahssem, took off from Cairo International Airport last month, they both wept with joy. After spending two-and-a-half years in hiding for leaving Islam to become Christians, they were elated by their newfound freedom.

They also felt secure that once they arrived in Syria, they would quickly obtain visas to the United States and start a new life. That hope soon proved unfounded.

After spending more than a week and a half unable to obtain a visa to the United States or to any country in Europe, they realized they may have traded in the reality of being prisoners in their own country for being refugees in another. And as El-Gohary watches the weeks pass and his resources dwindle, he said the stress is almost unbearable.

Malaysian Christians Seek to End Restrictions on Malay Bibles ~ Bibles to Get Official 'For Christians Only Stamp'

Desecration of the Bible!!

Suppose we stuck 'For Muslims Only' on every Koran in the west!

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, April 6 (CDN) — Christian importers of Bibles that Malaysian officials detained are balking at conditions the government has imposed for their release, such as defacement of the sacred books with official stamps.

The Home Ministry stamped the words, “This Good News [Malay] Bible is for use by Christians only” on 5,100 Bibles without consulting the importer, the Bible Society of Malaysia (BSM), which initially refused to collect them as it had neither accepted nor agreed to the conditions. The Home Ministry applied the stamp a day after the government on March 15 issued a release order for the Bibles, which had been detained in Port Klang, 38 kilometers (24 miles) southwest of Kuala Lumpur, since March 20, 2009.

Another 30,000 Bibles detained since Jan. 12 on the island of Borneo remain in port after the Sarawak state Home Ministry told the local chapter of Gideons International that it could collect them if the organization would put the stamp on them. Gideons has thus far declined to do so, and a spokesman said yesterday (April 5) that officials had already defaced the books with the stamp.

The government issued letters of release to both organizations on March 15 under the condition that the books bear the stamp, “Reminder: This Good News [Malay] Bible is for use by Christians only. By order of the Home Minister,” and that the covers must carry a serial number, the official seal of the department and a date.

Bangladesh: Judge rules Christian did not ‘create chaos’ by distributing literature near Islamic event ~ Released from one year prison sentence

The Bangladeshi constitution provides the right for anyone to propagate their religion subject to law, but authorities and communities often objected to efforts to convert people from Islam, according to the U.S. Department of State’s 2010 International Religious Freedom report.

Finally a bit of rational news from inside of the Islamic world. But that the man was arrested and charged in the first place.

Every year several million male Muslims – women are not allowed – attend the Bishwa Ijtema event to pray and listen to Islamic scholars from around the world. Some 9,000 foreigners from 108 countries reportedly attended the event, though most of the worshippers are rural Bangladeshis. About 15,000 security personnel were deployed to maintain order.

At the same event in 2009, Muslim pilgrims beat and threatened to kill another Bible school student as he distributed Christian literature.

DHAKA, Bangladesh, March 31 (CDN) — A judge this week exonerated a Christian sentenced to one year in prison for selling and distributing Christian literature near a major Muslim gathering north of this capital city, his lawyer said.

After reviewing an appeal of the case of 25-year-old Biplob Marandi, the magistrate in Gazipur district court on Tuesday (March 29) cleared the tribal Christian of the charge against him and ordered him to be released, attorney Lensen Swapon Gomes told Compass. Marandi was selling Christian books and other literature when he was arrested near the massive Bishwa Ijtema (World Muslim Congregation) on the banks of the Turag River near Tongi town on Jan. 21.

On Feb. 28 he was sentenced for “creating chaos at a religious gathering” by selling and distributing the Christian literature.

“Some fundamentalist Muslims became very angry with him for selling the Christian books near a Muslim gathering,” Gomes said, “so they harassed him by handing over to the mobile court. His release proves that he was innocent and that he did not create any trouble at the Muslim gathering.”

The judge reviewing the appeal ruled that Marandi proved in court that he sells books, primarily Christian literature, for his livelihood.

“I am delirious with joy, and it is impossible to say how happy I am,” said his brother, the Rev. Sailence Marandi, a pastor at Church of Nazarene International in northern Bangladesh’s Thakurgaon district. “I also thank all those who have prayed for my brother to be released.”

Two Indian Christians Languish in Saudi Prison, In Cell With Standing Room Only, After Attending Prayer Meeting

“There is no place to even sit,” said the source. “Only two hours a day they are sleeping in shifts. When brother Yohan is sleeping, brother Sekhar needs to stand, and when brother Sekhar wants to sleep, brother Yohan needs to stand. They have been doing this for more than a month. I don’t know how many more days they have to continue this.”

Since the arrest, other Christians have been too frightened to meet for prayer.

And what's the message ~ we respect Islam in all its gruesome detail.

I don't know about ascending [in Israel], but on Muhammad's death bed he said there should be no Christians or Jews in Arabia.

The other Indian Christians at the apartment escaped.

The anonymous source said he has informed the Embassy of India in Riyadh of their arrest numerous times.

“I have lost hope in them,” he said, “because the only thing they are always saying is that this is a religious case, so we can’t do anything.”

All countries sending workers to Arabia prefer to keep good relations with the Saudi government ~ in spite of how their nationals are treated.

“Foreign religious leaders continue to be prohibited from seeking and obtaining visas to enter Saudi Arabia and minister to local religious communities,” State department.

LOS ANGELES, March 28 (CDN) — Friends and family of two Indian Christians arrested after a prayer meeting in Saudi Arabia in January have tried in vain to secure their release.

The two Christians were incarcerated for attending the prayer meeting with other Indian nationals and accused of converting Muslims to Christianity, though the government has not produced formal charges, sources said.

Yohan Nese, 31 and Vasantha Sekhar Vara, 28, were arrested on Jan. 21 when mutaween (religious police) raided an apartment where the two had lingered after attending the prayer meeting. Religious police interrogated and beat them to the point that they suffered injuries, according to sources. During this time, religious police who were cursing at them allegedly tore up and trampled on Bibles and Christian material they had confiscated, said a source who spoke to the men.

Authorities asked them how many Christian groups and pastors there are in Saudi Arabia and Riyadh and asked their nationalities. The religious police also put pressure on the two to convert to Islam, according to sources.

The next morning, Jan. 22, authorities took the two Christians to the Religious Court in Riyadh. The court sentenced them to 45 days in prison. At 2 p.m., police filed a case at the local civil police station, according to a source who requested anonymity.

To date the Christian Indians have been in prison for 67 days. Their family and friends say they still have not been able to obtain a document with official charges but know from the prisoners that the charges are religious in nature, according to the source. At the time of their detention, the Christians were not engaging in religious activities.

On Jan. 22, 15 mutaween in civilian clothes came back to the apartment they had raided the previous day, destroyed valuable items and wrote Islamic slogans on the walls with spray paint, the source said.

Saudi Arabia puts Christian to the lions ~ Death penalty for Eritrean man sharing his faith

Mussie Eyob says he is ready to die
for his faith in Christ
An Eritrean Christian is facing the death penalty in Saudi Arabia after being arrested for sharing his faith with Muslims.

Mussie Eyob was detained by the authorities at a mosque in Saudi's second largest city, Jeddah, on 12 February. He had gone there to meet and talk with local Muslims after speaking about Christianity at the Eritrean Embassy for three days. Eyob was arrested for preaching to Muslims, an offence that carries the death penalty in Saudi Arabia.

Eyob, who was initially assumed to have mental health problems, was examined by doctors, who confirmed that he is fit for trial and sentencing. He was then transferred to the notorious high-security Briman Prison. His family are very concerned for his welfare there.

Yes.. he must be crazy!!

They visited Eyob on 20 March and found that he had lost weight, though he was in relatively good spirits. He said that he is ready to die for his faith in Christ.

Eyob, who committed to follow Christ just over two years ago, felt compelled to share his faith with local Muslims, despite the danger.

Saudi Arabia is a strictly Islamic country that follows an extreme and puritanical version of Islam, Wahhabism. The country claims that the Quran is its constitution and that all its laws and regulations are promulgated in line with sharia, which prescribes the death penalty for converts from Islam. Consequently most converts keep their faith secret.

Not only in Saudi Arabia.

All forms of public religious activities other than those consistent with the government's own interpretation of Sunni Islam are banned. The government has stated that expatriate Christians, of whom there are many in Saudi Arabia, are free to worship in private. But the religious police (mutawaah) sometimes raid private worship services.

The country has one of the highest rates of executions in the world. In late 2009, Amnesty International denounced the presence of at least 141 people on death row in Saudi Arabia, including 104 foreign nationals.

The Saudis do much of their killings in the infamous Chop Chop Square.

Bloody pig's trotter sent with anti-Semitic note to radical Islam hearings politician Peter King

Some farmer must be missing a pig!
The controversial Republican representative who chaired a hearing into the 'radicalisation' of American Muslims has been sent a parcel containing a severed pig's trotter and an anti-Semitic note.

The parcel and it's gore-spattered contents were sent to Peter King at his Capital Hill offices in Washington today, according to police and Postal Inspectors conducting the investigation into the incident.

The parcel never reached Mr King, being intercepted at a postal station by authorities.

Sergeant Kimberly Schneider of Capitol Police would not comment on the contents of the package, but did confirm that it did not reach the congressman.

She said: 'The package was discovered at a mail facility off the hill early this morning. We have an active open investigation regarding the incident and are working with Postal Inspectors.'

Sergeant Schneider said there would be no further information released about the package.

A Capitol Hill source told NBC News about the contents of the package, saying that the note referenced King's controversial hearing last month about Muslim extremism within the U.S.

The source said that the trotter was discovered when the package underwent routine scans for suspect materials or explosives.

Mr King was criticised earlier in the year for the controversial high-security hearings into radical Islam in America.

Critics said it was targeting a particular section of the community and would add to anti-Islamic feeling in the country.

Blah Blah ~ how many attempts have been made to detonate a bomb either in the US or coming to it and let's not forget the successful attempts ~ all of late with connections to 'radical' Islam. Investigate the heck out of it!

But the New York Republican remained defiant and claimed there was a lack of co-operation by Islam’s community leaders in fighting terrorism. The Homeland Security Committee chairman also claimed U.S. mosques were a breeding ground for radical attitudes.

Assassination attempt on Pope John Paul II carried out by Islamic terrorists, Polish communist leader claims

hand can be seen holding a gun as Pope John Paul II was driven past in 1981. A Polish communist leader has claimed the shooting was carried out under order of Islamic terrorists

The assassination attempt on Pope John Paul II was carried out under orders from Islamic terrorists, Poland's last communist leader has claimed.

The Polish-born pope almost died in the attempt when Turkish sniper Mehmet Ali Agca shot him with four rounds in St Peter's Square in the Vatican in 1981.

An official inquiry into the shooting blamed Soviet-sponsored assassins who wanted the pope dead because of his support for the democracy movement Solidarity.

But now General Wojciech Jaruzelski - who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer - claims Islamic fanatics sponsored the would-be assassination.

'Radical Islam detested the pope and saw in him a leader of crusades,' he told Poland's 'Jezus' Catholic magazine.

150 North Africans missing as boat capsizes

Thing is that the Gaddafis were working with the Italians to stem the flow of immigrants ~ particularly to smaller islands ~ which quickly become overwhelmed ~ as well as the Italian coast line. High powered boats ~ were used by both sides to intercept these little dinghies and return people to the African coast. At times there were 700 a week landing in Malta or between Malta and Italy.

The dream of most North African youths are to come to Europe ~ there is this dream that there is a never ending supply of resources. But it is the southern countries in Europe ~ who are getting the most immigrants in Europe ~ fair the worst economically.

Most if they went to school at all would have spent half the week or more learning about Islam ~ everybody can't be an Imam ~ they must put this religion into a proper context.

More than 150 illegal migrants went missing in Italy after a ship with 200 refugees from North Africa capsized off Lampedusa Island.

47 people were rescued.

Lampedusa has seen an influx of migrants following unrest in a number of North African countries in recent months.

Most refugees come from Tunisia and Libya.

Der Spiegel has a half-baked stab at the issue of the Koran burning and subsequent beheadings

An effigy of the American pastor Terry Jones burns during a demonstration in the Nangarhar province, east of Kabul, Afghanistan on Monday

Us and them

"Are you Muslim?" one of the insurgents yelled. The Russian, who was familiar with the Koran, lied and said he was.

"What is the profession of faith?"

The Russian didn't hesitate. "There is no god but God, and Muhammad is his prophet."

The Indian journalist and politician Arun Shourie, born a Hindu but a practicing Buddhist today, is a sharp critic of religious claims to absolute truth. The problem, he says, is the idea that those who don't recognize the truth are at odds with God or Allah. ...

They differentiate between "us" and "them," and lack empathy for those with different beliefs. Killing becomes permissable: "They are the non-believers!" Burning books (or drawing cartoons) becomes merely an exercise in free speech.

Sorry but in the free world, we all take things on the chin, a Christian can have strong beliefs, but at the same time, don't attempt to blow up an art gallery, or threaten those operating a playhouse, because they do not like the way Jesus is being portrayed within. We cannot use the idea of absolute belief ~ to forbid or ban freedom of expression. Which is what Muslims have been arguing for ~ their Islamic law ~ the world over.

US President Barack Obama summed it up well: The desecration of a holy book, including the Koran, is "an act of extreme intolerance and bigotry." But it is also shameful to kill innocent people in response.

The protest!

There is another problem ~ everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Obama can only make the sweeping statement, as to the pastor's intentions, because there is no law against the pastor's actions. The pastor put the book on trial and found the Islamic holy book guilty ~ which goes to the problem ~ via the holy book under Islam absolutism, it is readily accepted that Christians and others should be treated with less respect ~ not out of intolerance for intolerance sake ~ but because the Koran commands Muslims to do so. As a result all across the Islamic, and in many Constitution, non-Muslims are forbidden to enjoy the same rights as Muslims ~ in the Maldives, under their Constitution a non-Muslim cannot hold citizenship [that solves that]. So that the absolutism of Islam, and the 'we' are better than 'them', is not an aberration ~ it is for the Muslim ~ a commandment from God.

Muhammad's fruits!

Take a journey to the west ~ and not only do you have wide sections of the Muslim community ~ placing the 'us' versus 'them' first [huge integration problems in Europe, unlike most other immigrants] ~ there is the added extra, of the belief that they as Muslims should control these new societies, that their rules should be paramount, that as in the Islamic world there should be absolutely no questions posed about their religion, its prophet, its 'glorious and flawless' history. And indeed the same punishments or some sort of punishment should be dealt ~ for those who break these 'Islamic' laws.

Hello!!

Cartoons are satire ~ which is how it started ~ done in the western tradition ~ we have a laugh for relief and no one remembers them. How does this become the high end of hatred? If you leave Islam in the Islamic world ~ that is akin to treason ~ questioning the Prophet ~ like ~ should he have married a child ~ and as a man of God ~ should he have used rape on the battlefield ~ that is blasphemy ~ whereas the west long throw off these types of religious control. And Muslims must understand that we can't have them back.

The dhimmi delusion

The modern world ~ is no better place to highlight the Islamic delusion ~ under the dhimmi laws set out to end Muhammad's warfare against the Christians and Jews [i.e. they didn't have a chance] ~ for years in the Muslim mindset there has been a 'us' and 'them' ~ where Muslims were superior ~ not only in their own minds but under the law. Within their systems of law they kept the non-Muslims among them subjugated ~ and as with their women ~ who they teach very little and in return little is produced ~ expectations of the non-Muslim were in line with structure of the Islamic society ~ are still awe struck and overwhelmed by the success of the non~Muslims ~ where Islamic laws are virtually unheard of ~ to overcome their sense of Islamic impotence ~ they employ every method to control it ~ to put a harness on it ~ to reduce it or 'us' to the lowest common Islamic denominator. In the new absolution in return ~ words like racism and intolerance towards Islam ~ are all charges against people telling them to back off!!

Twenty people have died in the protests triggered by Pastor Terry Jones' burning of the Koran in March and more violence is likely. But both his action, and the reaction in the Muslim world share the same problematic roots: Claims to absolute truth have little place in the modern world.

The Russian head of the United Nations mission in the northern Afghanistan city of Masar-i-Sharif had fled with three colleagues into a safe room when the mob stormed their building. But it wasn't long before the assailants broke into the room.

"Are you Muslim?" one of the insurgents yelled. The Russian, who was familiar with the Koran, lied and said he was.
"What is the profession of faith?"

The Russian didn't hesitate. "There is no god but God, and Muhammad is his prophet."

It was a lie that saved his life, according to the story told by one of the Russian's UN colleagues. He got away with a severe beating. But the three UN workers he was with, a Norwegian, a Swede and a Romanian, were all killed. A report in the Wall Street Journal describes how a German barely escaped the massacre; four Nepali guards also fell victim.

Syria lifts niqab ban, shuts casino, in nod to Sunnis ~ but will this be enough

Posters of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad decorate a street as Syrians walk in the old city of Damascus on April 2, 2011

This is what the 1970's Pakistani leader did to stay in power, he gave into Islamic demands, taking the country from a moderate one to the increasingly extremist one we see today. When the aim is to control the country to bring about an Islamic state, these one or two demands, are just a few more steps in the same direction.

Here in the west we are told to respect Islam ~ to like Islam ~ that its harmless ~ but we can see from the Islamic world that even Muslims are afraid of it.

Caretaker Education Minister Ali Saad said the ministry had decided to allow teachers wearing the niqab to return to work, according to state news agency SANA. Assad had imposed the ban on the niqab last year.

Syria's at-Tishreen newspaper also reported the closure of the country's only casino because "those who attended the casino were engaging in unlawful acts."

'Unlawful acts' include crimes against the religion and almost always include decisions of a personal choice ~ eating during ramadan ~ going on a date ~ renouncing Islam. It is the babying that many Muslims expect.

(Reuters) - Syria lifted on Wednesday a ban on teachers wearing the full face veil and ordered the closure of a casino, moves aimed at placating conservative Muslims in the tightly-controlled country that has seen weeks of unrest.

Last month pro-democracy protests erupted in the majority Sunni Muslim city of Deraa and later spread to other cities, including the religiously-mixed port city of Latakia, posing the greatest challenge to Assad's 11-year rule.

Libya action 'not attack on Islam' - Oh brother!!

British Prime Minister David Cameron (L) during a joint press conference with his Pakistani counterpart Yousuf Raza Gilani in Islamabad on April 5, 2011

It shows though we do have to get off the oil ~ and relinquish concern in these countries.

The oil game for the west was lost a long time ago.

And to continue we offer Islamic nations too much control ~ naturally above all the thing they want most is that everyone should follow their religion ~ but unfortunately with all the PR, there are only examples such as Pakistan, the state of countries across North Africa, and the virtual religious tyranny and despotism of the Middle East ~ to go by as examples ~ of the freedom that Islam can provide.

Though since the Muslims are complaining ~ it is the perfect time to say that we in the west need energy freedom. Are politicians the best people to understand this or see a way out, most having studied law or political science? The best thing some western politicians could come up with was the bringing together of the Islamic legal system and western rights based laws ~ theocracy should not be the vision of the western future. Especially when there is so much more to do in the way of technology and energy technology ~ to impose a theocratic restriction on society would be a mistake. It would literally be a camel led society.

(UKPA) - David Cameron has attempted to reassure Muslim opinion about the Nato-led military operation in Libya, telling students in Pakistan it is not an "attack on Islam".

The Prime Minister said the action not only has the backing of Arab countries and the United Nations but is designed to save the lives of innocent, mainly Muslim, civilians.

He rejected comparisons with the 2003 US-led invasion of Iraq and insisted it is "nonsense" that action against the Gaddafi regime had been motivated by Western interests in Libya's oil.

Mr Cameron, on his first official visit to Pakistan as PM, launched a robust defence of the UK's participation in a speech at the Islamabad Institute of Information Technology.

He said he recognised that some people looked at the UK's role in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya "and believe we're engaged in some sort of war against Islam".

Sarkozy's party stages much-hyped Islam versus secularism debate ~ France should move away from Islamic immigration

Muslim men pray in Paris streets

If you look at the countries or regions Islam has taken over or conquered [Dar al Islam, the conquered lands]~ it is really nothing to look at ~ it is really nothing to get overjoyed about ~ it is like a cover version of 7th century greatest hits. Do we really want to hear this music ~ and do this dance for the next 1000 years. Women's rights ~ let's face it ~ whatever good things we can dredge up to say about Islam ~ Muhammad allowed for the rape of women [Koran verse based directly on Muhammad's angel inspired command to rape non-Muslim women] ~ there are no women's rights ~ as we would like to see them coming out of there. The whole life is meant to be tied to Arabia and its intersessing black stone of worship ~ and with Muslims whatever modern civilisation they managed to take over ~ old Persia for one ~ and so many places in between ~ they always manage to lazily ~ allow the societal structure to crumble back to the 7th century ways or daze. The whole lazy inshallah, god willing if..., has been imported to Europe. The fight is against the Muslim mindset, which in the Muslim world is enforced by law. Even if you had a spark of an idea it would soon be drowned out by the chimes of God willing ~ if the clerics don't get to the idea to destroy it or limit it first. But the French wish to maintain a modern secular state. Not a broken God willing inshallah dictatorship. That takes an active citizenship ~ towards that end.

Immigration is the elephant in the room. There are so many people around the world, who could be of benefit to the French society, why are we fussing with Muslim immigrants over Shari'a law. When there are billions of others ~ to choose from ~ who would gladly take part in the building or maintaining of a modern state. Who would help ~ not burden the state.

Islam in and of itself cannot produce the things Muslims want/ need ~ for life in the modern world. But before they figure that out how many places should we allow to be brought down by it.

A long-awaited debate on the state and religion by French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s UMP party takes place Tuesday. But it is a scaled-down version, with only a dozen ministers expected to attend, and it has been dogged by accusations of Islamophobia.

Interior minister Claude Guéant courted controversy again the day before the debate by declaring that the growth of Islam in France “posed a problem”.

France’s founding law on secularism was passed in 1905, before the major immigration from former French colonies in north Africa of the late 20th century.

Guéant, Education Minister Luc Chatel and Budget Minister François Baroin are three of about 10 ministers who will take part in the discussion on issues ranging from the training of imams, ritual slaughter and secularism in state schools.

No Muslim leaders will take part and some Muslim UMP members stormed out of the party because of the plan. Nor will Prime Minister, Francois Fillon, who does not approve of the debate. But UMP chief Jean-Francois Copé has been pushing hard for it

The left has denounced the debate as a political ploy to woo far-right Front National supporters.

The French Muslim council decided to boycott it, saying that it picks on Muslims. But it is sending observers – as is the Catholic church. France’s main rabbi, Gilles Bernheim, said he will participate.

The 1905 law guaranteeing the separation of state and religion is not up for discussion.

But Guéant is to present 26 proposals, many of which could be put in place right away – including some on the controversial issue of Muslims praying in the streets, which Front National leader Marine Le Pen last year compared to the German occupation.

Malaysia Islamic school teacher beat kid to death

What with all the Koran burning ~ everyone in the Muslim world is a little stressed...

According to Muhammad stealing from others is okay ~ but stealing from other Muslims is not done!! That is when stealing becomes wrong.

Muhammad arranged raids on passing caravan ~ and Islamic law even covers the sharing out of the booty! But the Arabs were raiding people long before Muhammad ~ as they were in a prime position at the cross roads between Africa and Asia. Mecca in pre-Islamic times was meant to be excluded from tribal and other hostilities ~ it was a place where people could bring their Gods to worship at the Kaaba stone in peace.

Seeing himself as their leader, Muhammad put himself at the head of these raids, excusing them on the grounds of the injustice of poverty and describing the raids as part of a holy war (Jihad) against the rulers of Mecca for their having rejected his teaching. Muhammad and his followers had been developing a contempt for people they called "idolaters" -- for people who worshipped traditional, numerous gods. Energized by religious fervor, a sense of unity and the prospect of booty, his men fought well. [+]

Sorry about the little kid. He did not deserve that.

Kuala Lumpur - Malaysian police said Monday they were questioning an Islamic school teacher who has been placed on remand for allegedly beating a 7-year-old student to death.

Saiful Syazani Saiful Sopfidee was taken to local hospital in the southern state of Perlis on Saturday where he slipped into a coma and died the next day.

The cause of death was internal bleeding in the head and heart complications, the New Straits Times newspaper said.

Saiful, a student at a privately run Islamic school, was reportedly tied up and beaten for two hours after a teacher accused him of stealing 7 ringgit (2.28 dollars) from another student.

The boy, described as happy and obedient, did not have prior problems in school, his adopted mother told the Star newspaper.

Perlis police said the 26-year-old suspect, who was also the school warden, has been on remand since Saturday. He is being investigated for murder.

Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood calls for Saudi-style modesty police: Aspects of sharia

While we dream on about Islam ...

But one does have the freedom to be controlled to the hilt. Though not in a free society. Not here!

Officials of the Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt's leading Islamic group, have called for the establishment of a Saudi-style modesty police to combat "immoral" behavior in public areas in what observers say in another sign of a growing Islamic self-confidence in the post-Mubarak era.

In the political sphere, the Brotherhood led a successful drive to get voters to approve a package of constitutional amendments. On the street level, at least 20 attacks were perpetrated against the tombs of Muslim mystics (suffis), who are the subject of popular veneration but disparaged by Islamic fundamentalists, or salafis. After some initial hesitation, Islamic leaders have publicly praised the revolution.

Issam Durbala, a member of the Brotherhood's Shura council, told the Egyptian daily Al-Masri Al-Youm on Sunday, that he supported the establishment of a virtue police, or Hisbah, which had existed in medieval Islamic societies to oversee public virtue and modesty, mostly in the marketplace and other public gathering spaces.

So now we wait for these 'justifiable' Islamic attacks to occur in the west ~ non-Muslim UN workers singled out for attack

Secretary-General for Afghanistan Staffan de Mistura carries the casket of one of seven U.N. employees killed in an attack on Friday in Mazar-i-Sharif

Now we sit and wait ~ for those who offend Islam to be attacked by Muslim mobs in the west!! Like with the Salman Rusdie 'isolated' incident ~ this too will wash up on our shores!!

It is almost like we become Muslim too ~ 'well he offended the Prophet ~ he should have been killed'.

She offended her father's honor ~ she should be killed... oh the shame her father must have felt

Now we are spectators to the Islamic crime against humanity ~ and we take part in it ~ with our withholding of our condemnation.

Those backward Muslim ways are catching on here too!!

You know how anger he gets ~ I just won't do that any more + and that + and that... until we are boxed in ~ like the prison that the Islamic world finds itself in.

But even in a prison one can find freedom ~ if you are really good ... and you don't offend Islam ~ [i.e. forgo truth and logic and reason] ~ then freedom can be yours in this new Islamic prison planet.

It is hallelujah or is it halal ~ I can't remember any more!!

Converted...

Oh, Muhammad would have never called for non-Muslims to be attacked or killed ~ regardless of what the Koran says!! No, no, no ~ we will tell you what to believe from now on!! See you are free!! You are no longer ignorant ~ of Islam!

They are handing out politically correct cookies over there ~ you can go get yours now!!
They had better be halal!!

The head of the U.N. mission in Afghanistan has described the horrific executions of seven colleagues.

Staffan de Mistura spoke in sombre tones as he described how the U.N. workers dashed into a dark bunker hoping to escape the mob of Afghan protesters angry over the burning of a Quran by a Florida church.

His words come as Pastor Terry Jones, the man de Mistura and many others blame for instigating Friday's protests, defiantly promised to put Islamic prophet Mohammed 'on trial' for his next 'day of judgement' publicity stunt.

Those naughty Muslims 'provoked' into beheading UN staff members ~ how far do we go to support Islam

All over reports are blaming Terry Jones' support for the burning of a Koran ~ for the beheading of two people. Let's face it it is far easier to burn a book ~ any book than to physically behead a person.

I think we are going to have to take a serious look at immigration and Islam's place in the west. Particularly to do with freedoms versus the Shari'a.

The focus is on Mr Jones ~ but in any Muslim nation ~ there is systematic intolerance against Christians at state level ~ under sharia based laws ~ Christians cannot enjoy equality with Muslims. Is this the Islam we are being asked to respect?

With Islam we are becoming like the abused wife ~ careful that the things we say and do ~ don't send them off into a murderous rage.

What sort of respect is this.

We need to decide whether it is people we want to respect or an archaic system of religious law and justice.

Florida pastor Terry Jones has not apologised for a Koran burning stunt last month that led to the murders of up to 20 people in northern Afghanistan yesterday.

Indeed the head of the Dove World Outreach Center, the man whom many hold responsible for instigating the wave of protests, remained defiant over his decision to hold the Koran burning - saying it was time for 'Islam to be held accountable'.

At least seven United Nations staff were murdered - two by beheading - after extremists stormed their compound in the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif.

The mob beheaded two U.N. guards, seized their weapons and began shooting those inside the compound after a demonstration against Koran burnings in the U.S. turned violent.

Mr Jones, who ignored international warnings that his actions would undoubtedly lead to violent reprisals, said the blame laid at the feet of the attackers.

He said: 'We must hold these countries and people accountable for what they have done as well as for any excuses they may use to promote their terrorist activities. The time has come to hold Islam accountable.

'Our United States government and our President must take a close, realistic look at the radical element Islam. Islam is not a religion of peace.

'We demand action from the United Nations. Muslim dominated countries can no longer be allowed to spread their hate against Christians and minorities.'

The Taliban has reportedly claimed responsibility for the killings, saying they were part of a campaign of violence in the run up to presidential elections.

The bloodshed is the worst attack on the U.N. in Afghanistan since the war began in 2001.

At least four Afghan workers were also killed and officials fear the total death toll could rise to 20.
The rampage began when more than 1,000 protesters flooded into the streets after Friday prayers, where they heard reports about the Koran burnings in America last month.

After slaying the guards, the armed mob scaled the compound's blast walls before setting fire to a guard tower and several other buildings.

An Afghan police source, who asked not to be named, said the chief of the mission in the city was wounded but survived. [..]

Muslims drop UN 'defamation of religion[s]' measure ~ that would give 'Islam' human rights - Video

Bubbles pop all the time ~ this one was a big Islamic one!

They are so dreaming if they think they are going to drag that repressive law all around the world.

Muslims must understand that the world cannot feel their fear ~ of Islam! They must understand ~ that this fear or terror they feel ~ must be kept as a personal matter. That it is their prison ~ that they lock themselves in!

Most others know ~ we don't need permission ~ we are free!

Groups Hail Changes to Pro-Islam Measure

Religious rights advocates are praising Muslim nations for dropping a United Nations resolution that restricted free speech.

Since 1999, the U.N. Council on Human Rights annually approved the resolution forbidding "defamation of religions." But critics said the measure mainly protected Islam.

Human rights advocates long opposed the resolution because it targeted speech, not behavior and didn't protect individuals.

The resolution was also sponsored by a Muslim coalition known as the Islamic Conference.

"This defamation of religion has nothing to do with protecting religious freedom," said Jay Sekulow, chief counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice. "To the contrary, what it does is isolate and protect Islam from criticism which means those that are engaged in the proclamation of the gospel to members of the Muslim faith would be guilty of violating a U.N. resolution."

The American Center for Law and Justice fought against the U.N. resolution for years. Click play for reaction to the recent improvements from ACLJ Director of International Operations Jordan Sekulow.

Opponents also said the resolution gave cover to harsh blasphemy laws that forbid criticism of Islam, the Koran, or the prophet Mohammed.

In Pakistan, those laws have been used to persecute Christians and other religious minorities.

"Simple Christian activities like praying, worshipping and sharing one's belief in Jesus Christ with a neighbor can be interpreted as offensive and therefore restricted," explained Carl Moeller of Open Doors USA.

The new resolution emphasizes protecting individuals from discrimination or violence because of their faith.

Pakistani Minister calls on Interpol and urges US to bring Florida Koran burning preacher to 'justice' ~ End the dhimmi status for Pak Christians ~ Grant Them Equality With Muslims

The mad act of Pastor Wayne Sapp, who last March 20 in Florida burned a Koran under the supervision of the evangelical preacher Terry Jones, has sparked controversy and violence.

When it comes to Christians in the Islamic world ~ do Muslims really need an excuse to attack!!

However, the burning of the Koran has sparked the reaction of Islamic fundamentalists who, in the space of a few days, have attacked three churches and killed two people, fueling the climate of fear and distrust within the Christian community.

Christians are already living as dhimmis ~ under the Pakistani Constitution a Christian ~ cannot become president ~ there are a whole lot of restrictions on the practise of their religion ' ~ that Muslims don't face and they do not receive the same protection under the law ~ which means that they could be attacked, kidnapped or even killed, with little ~ if any, recourse under the law...

....and its Terry Jones who is the problem, he is making things worst for them?

Mr Jones is to blame!

Hard to take that seriously!!

Why don't the Pakistani lawmakers pass a resolution ~

that gives Christians, Hindus and others equal rights to Muslims ~ how about that!!

Scrap the Shari'a law ~ that holds non-Muslims as 2nd class citizens ~ and grant them equal citizenship rights!!

The letter addressed to the head of Interpol, explains Rehman Malik, demands that the matter be treated as a case of "violent crime" and that urgent measures be taken for the future, to ensure such episodes are not repeated.

But Interpol doesn't deal with Islamic laws ~ time for Muslims to put Muhammad's sword down now!

Islamabad (AsiaNews) - The Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik - on the recommendation of President Asi Ali Zardari - has sent a letter to Pope Benedict XVI and the Secretary General of Interpol Ronald Nobel, in which calls on them to condemn the burning of the Koran and take action against the instigator, the American pastor Terry Jones. The Senate in Islamabad has also intervened on the episode, unanimously passing a resolution urging the U.S. to bring the controversial preacher to justice.

The mad act of Pastor Wayne Sapp, who last March 20 in Florida burned a Koran under the supervision of the evangelical preacher Terry Jones, has sparked controversy and violence. The initiative has been repeatedly strongly condemned by Christian leaders in Pakistan and India, defined as "an insane and disrespectful act” by a U.S. citizen that has nothing to do with the Christians of Pakistan. However, the burning of the Koran has sparked the reaction of Islamic fundamentalists who, in the space of a few days, have attacked three churches and killed two people, fueling the climate of fear and distrust within the Christian community.

The letter addressed to the head of Interpol, explains Rehman Malik, demands that the matter be treated as a case of "violent crime" and that urgent measures be taken for the future, to ensure such episodes are not repeated. The resolution adopted unanimously by the Senate, as well as requiring urgent action against the pastor Terry Jones, calls on all Muslim countries to express their indignation against the United States and the United Nations to register a "shameful act" towards Islam.

The interior minister also condemns attacks on churches and the burning of some copies of the Bible, the work of Islamic fundamentalists. Malik explains that he has instructed security forces to investigate the matter and take "appropriate measures" to "safeguard the rights of minorities, their properties and sacred places."

In recent days, the Christian community has repeatedly emphasised that there are no ties between the United States, Pastor Terry Jones and Pakistani Christians, who "were born and belong only to the motherland." Bishop Anthony Rufin of Islamabad / Rawalpindi, has repeatedly reiterated that "we should not be equated to the Americans." Fr. Anwar Patras, a Catholic priest, has added that the Christian community, first of all, belongs to Pakistan: "We were born in this land and we will be buried here, we have no connection with Pastor Terry Jones and his sick ideas."

Wilders to Present Fitna Sequel next Year

THE HAGUE, 02/04/11 - Party for Freedom (PVV) leader Geert Wilders announced Friday that he will present a sequel to his short film Fitna next year. Part 2 will be about "the barbaous life of the sick spirit of Mohammed."

Wilders already said earlier this week in current affairs magazine HP/De Tijd that he wants to stimulate a "public debate" on the Prophet Mohammed. The debate could offer understanding and support to Muslims worldwide to leave Islam, according to the PVV leader. Wilders declared that Islam is highly dangerous and in his view, this becomes clear by reading the Koran and by looking at the character of Mohammed.

Wilders put Fitna on the Internet in 2008. The government of the day, which warned of worldwide violence against Dutch nationals and Dutch targets, considered a preventive ban on the 15-minute long film, but dropped this idea due to its legal unfeasibility. In the event, violence did not break out anywhere in the world.

Fitna was about the Koran, while Fitna 2 will be specifically about the Prophet. The film was earlier announced for 2010, but partly due to the early elections following the fall of the government, this was no longer possible.

According to Wilders, apostates are heros that deserve support. "It is time for us to help these people by unmasking Mohammed," he said in HP/De Tijd. In the same article, he also cited academics who believe that Mohammed had a brain tumour as a result of which he had hallucinations which were written down as visions.

According to one hadith ~ some of the Muslims [pre-Islamic Arabians] said that they realized that Muhammad was the messenger from god ~ because of the boil on the back of his neck ~ and the only reason that they saw this 'white pus bump' was because he had just had an epileptic fit.

[We know that when people recover from fits ~ they often have spiritual experiences!!]

Anyone who sleeps with the dead ~ and further instructs others on the same ~ had to have been a madmen / or serious personality disorder!

Other strange things ~ he said he liked to dress in women's clothing ~ but it was only when he dressed in little Aisha's clothes ~ that he would receive messages from God ~ that while he wore other women's clothes he received no messages!!!!

Muslims need to stop fearing this man and free themselves from this!!

Most Muslims live in countries where they can't leave Islam ~ freeing the Muslims world ~ for a post-Sharia age!!!

Funny how it could be ~ Muslims stepped out to conquer ~ again ~ but this time they got conquered. And finally freed from this repressive hold on their minds!!

American servicewomen 'encouraged' to wear Islamic headscarves ~ to take subservient role, to better relate to Afghan male dominated culture

OMG!!
One really needs to question what is a woman worth in Islam??

Obama did not want to go to a Sikh temple the other day because he would have had to cover his head ~ got some nerve ~ to put those servicewomen ~ in those magic head carpets!!

In the Islamic word ~ all western women are seen as prostitutes ~ because the only free women there are the prostitutes [and the very wealthy]. There ~ prostitutes wear headscarves!! Let's cut the crap!!

“It is important to be sensitive to the local culture in any mission, and understand the culture but this is not about shaking with your left hand or showing the bottom of your feet … this symbolizes that women have a lower status than men.”

In an effort to get closer to the local population, American female soldiers stationed in Afghanistan are being encouraged to wear a Muslim headscarf when interacting with civilians. But some question whether the practice constitutes cultural sensitivity or a form of appeasement that is degrading to U.S. soldiers.

Major Kyndra Rotunda, executive director of the Military Law and Policy Institute and AMVETS Legal Clinic, told The Daily Caller that while the women are not being ordered to wear the head scarf, encouragement is tantamount to a demand.

“They say they are encouraging women to wear the headscarf when they are out and about and on patrol. But the problem is — and I think anyone who has been in the military understands that being encouraged to do something is about the same thing as being ordered — it really puts them in an uncomfortable position when their commander says, ‘We really want you to do this, technically you don’t have to, but we really want you to do this,’” she said.

Lt. Col. Michael Lawhorn, a U.S. Central Command spokesman, stressed to TheDC that while commanders are encouraging American women to wear headscarves while engaging with civilians, they are not having them wear the headscarf in lieu of their kevlar helmets.

CNN April fools - Quran much more than a holy book to Muslims ~ Muslim cleric explains UN massacre /beheadings ~ burning Koran like burning Christ

Muslim in Bangladesh holds a Quran during a recent protest against the government

"Symbolically and literally this is the most sacred reminder of God on Earth for a Muslim,"

...

"Above any scripture, what is sacred and holy is the human being,"

Even better than your book and your book and your book ~ our holy text written in Syriac is better than all you all's books!!

Safi pointed out that people in these discussions compare one holy book to another, but the Quran is more analogous to Christ, so it would be like someone burning Jesus.

Creeeepy!!

Their aim is to stoke enough angst in mainly Christian non-Muslims that ~ we will see their point ~ that those who offend Islam' holy book ~ should be beheaded / attacked!! Because that is what they believe ~ in spite of what they say ~ Muhammad's sword hangs over every Muslim's head ~ they live in fear and they want us to feel that fear ~ the fear that doesn't allow them to think, to use reason ~ logic ~ when it comes to Muhammad's actions and aspects of Islam that should be questioned. That fear ~ of Muhammad's sword ~ from the time of their conquest ~ is still them ~ and the religion is such that it perpetually keeps people under it.

Two weeks ago, controversial pastor Terry Jones presided over what he called a trial of the Quran.

The holy book of Islam was "found guilty" by members of Jones' tiny church in Florida and burned, according to a release posted on the church's website.

On Friday, 12 people, including eight workers for the United Nations, were killed in the Afghan city of Mazar-e Sharif, when people protesting the burning of that Quran attacked a U.N. office.

Jones likely knew that burning the Quran would prompt protests when Muslims learned of the actions of his church, the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville. He canceled plans to burn a Quran last year, on the ninth anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks after being lobbied by President Obama, Gen. David Petraeus and others. Petraeus said American service members in Afghanistan would be increasingly in danger if Jones proceeded with his plan.

On March 20, the parishioners at Dove burned a single copy of the Quran, thus "attacking the foundations of Islam itself," says one Muslim scholar.

"Symbolically and literally this is the most sacred reminder of God on Earth for a Muslim," said Akbar Ahmed, the chair of Islamic Studies at American University in Washington. " More than a mosque ... more than any other symbol it is the Quran that symbolizes the word of God for a Muslim."

But he decried the violent reaction to the burning. He said that Muslims need to understand that we are living in a world that includes atheists and people of faith who have different ideas of how to treat any holy book.

So you can't have them killed?

Exactly!!

"Therefore Muslims need to respond to acts like (Quran burning) by trying to explain why they are so sensitive, by trying to reach out and trying to explain what Islam is, and not to react in anger and promote any hint of violence."

The free world will never come under Islam's repressive yoke!!

Omid Safi agrees.

"Above any scripture, what is sacred and holy is the human being," said Safi, a religion professor at the University of North Carolina and the author of "Memories of Muhammad". "The death of a person because of protesting (the desecration of) religious symbols is to misunderstand the ultimate sanctity of life."

Safi pointed out that people in these discussions compare one holy book to another, but the Quran is more analogous to Christ, so it would be like someone burning Jesus.

What the f** is this!!

The reason for that is that Christ was the very being of the word of God, which has come to live among us and the Quran in the same way embodies the word of Allah, he said.

When nice things sound ~ creepy!!

That is why Muslims hold the Quran in such high esteem. In their homes the book is often wrapped in satin and put it in a place of respect, usually high above all other books.

Some of those who don't live in the United States, where burning a holy book is considered free speech, have a hard time understanding that concept.

Ah... maybe your 'concepts' are being rejected!!

"It is the right of the pastor to do this, but to Muslims it is violating their religious identity and their faith," said Ahmed who is also the author of "Journey into America." "It's important to point out that in many Muslim countries it's in the constitution that you cannot blaspheme against the Prophet or desecrate the Quran."

You can almost feel ~ that he should be put to death for blasphemy sentiment ~ like a wolf in sheep's clothing ~ trying to contain Islam's repressive violence.

Safi called Jones' actions hate speech intended to divide humanity.

Divide humanity ~ why doesn't he stand up for equal rights for Christians and other non-Muslims in the old world....

"I'd rather focus my faith and work to bring it together," he said.

Afghanistan Protests Over Quran Burning - Up to 20 UN workers killed ~ some beheaded - Video

"We've been very clear in saying that this is an isolated act done by a small group of people," State Department spokesman Mark Toner said.

"It doesn't reflect the respect that people of the United States have toward Islam and we absolutely reject this kind of intolerance," he said.

Respect towards Islam comes in two forms ~ either you join ~ or you cower as a dhimmi. What they will think is ~ is your country Muslim ~ then you don't 'resect Islam'!! We should remove 'respect Islam' from the lingo ~ it should be we 'respect people' ~ on the condition that act sanely.

There should be no qualifying statements ~ to do with these actions.

The crowd emerged from the city’s main mosque after Friday prayers and marched on the UN office where they attacked the guards with knives, seized their weapons and entered the compound, Lal Mohammad Ahmadzai, a spokesman for the northern region’s police force, said by phone.

The crowd ~ time after time ~ before an attack ~ emerges from the mosque. The mosque ~ i.e. Islam ~ most be providing the real ammunition.

The Nepalese guards were shot or stabbed to death and a man and a woman on the UN staff were beheaded, the spokesman said. Police opened fire on the crowd and 12 people were injured, he said.

A horrible death and undeserved.

The United States has strongly condemned the killing of up to 20 UN employees in an attack in northern Afghanistan, saying there was no justification for the murder of innocent people.

"I condemn in the strongest possible terms the attack on the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan today," US President Barack Obama said in a statement.

"Their work is essential to building a stronger Afghanistan for the benefit of all its citizens. We stress the importance of calm and urge all parties to reject violence."

Afghan protesters, angered by the burning of a Koran by an obscure US pastor, killed up to 20 UN staff in Mazar-i-Sharif in the worst attack ever on the United Nations in Afghanistan.

The State Department said the United States stood ready to assist the United Nations in any possible way, and underscored that the United States believed the pastor's desecration of the Koran was "an abhorrent act."

"We've been very clear in saying that this is an isolated act done by a small group of people," State Department spokesman Mark Toner said.

"It doesn't reflect the respect that people of the United States have toward Islam and we absolutely reject this kind of intolerance," he said.

Afghans Protesting Florida Koran Burning Kill 7 UN Workers

Afghans protesting the burning of a Koran in Florida last week stormed a United Nations compound in the northern city of Mazar-e-Sharif and killed four Nepalese security guards and three other workers from Norway, Romania and Sweden, the UN said.

The crowd emerged from the city’s main mosque after Friday prayers and marched on the UN office where they attacked the guards with knives, seized their weapons and entered the compound, Lal Mohammad Ahmadzai, a spokesman for the northern region’s police force, said by phone.

The Nepalese guards were shot or stabbed to death and a man and a woman on the UN staff were beheaded, the spokesman said. Police opened fire on the crowd and 12 people were injured, he said.

“It is cowardly attack which cannot be justified under any circumstances,” UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said, according to his press office in New York. The UN press office revised an earlier estimate that there had been eight casualties.

U.S. President Barack Obama issued a statement condemning the attack “in the strongest possible terms.” The UN’s work “is essential to building a stronger Afghanistan,” Obama said. “We stress the importance of calm and urge all parties to reject violence and resolve differences through dialogue.”

Koran Burned

Florida Pastor Terry Jones oversaw the burning of a Koran at his church in Gainesville, Florida, on March 20, USA Today reported. The burning was done by Wayne Sapp, a colleague of Jones, the newspaper said. Jones threatened last year to burn a copy of the sacred book of Islam on the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the U.S.

“Such actions cannot be condoned by any religion,” UN spokesman Farhan Haq said. “They contradict the efforts of the United Nations and many people around the world to promote tolerance, intercultural understanding and mutual respect between cultures and religions.”

Jones, pastor of the Dove World Outreach Center, released a statement calling the attack a “very tragic and criminal action” that is “highly unacceptable” for the U.S. government.

“The United States government and the United Nations itself must take immediate action,” Jones said. “We must hold these countries and people accountable for what they have done as well as for any excuses they may use to promote their terrorist activities. The time has come to hold Islam accountable.”

Radical Element

The Obama administration should “take a close, realistic look at the radical element Islam,” Jones said. “Islam is not a religion of peace.”

UN member nations should takes steps to prevent “Muslim- dominated countries” from spreading “their hate against Christians and minorities,” Jones said. “They must alter the laws that govern their countries to allow for individual freedoms and rights, such as the right to worship, free speech and to move freely without fear of being attacked or killed.”

About 100 protesters also gathered today at a traffic circle near the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, the Associated Press reported. One carried a sign that said “We want these bloody bastard Americans with all their forces to leave Afghanistan,” the AP said.

Crime Against Religion

Afghan President Hamid Karzai last week issued a statement calling the burning a “crime against a religion,” AP said. He said it was a “disrespectful and abhorrent act” and called on the U.S. and UN to prosecute those who burned the Koran, according to the wire service.

Mazar-e-Sharif is the capital of the northern Balkh province, bordering Uzbekistan.

U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman John Kerry, a Massachusetts Democrat, issued a statement saying he was “saddened and angered” by the UN workers’ deaths.

“We and the Afghan people owe a debt of gratitude to the people who risk their lives to make Afghanistan a better place,” Kerry said. “Instead, an angry mob took out its rage on selfless public servants and innocent bystanders who had no connection to the desecration of a Koran by a radical figure in Florida.”

Malaysian truly-Arabian state cleric bans line dancing ~ points to 'Christian ritual' and is violation of Islamic law

The spouses of foreign ministers learn the steps of the "poco-poco" dance

Another restriction added to the pile of Islamic restrictions that are already in existence.

KUALA LUMPUR (AFP)— A top Islamic official in a Malaysian state has outlawed a popular line dance, claiming Friday that it contained cult practices and elements of "Christian rituals" unacceptable to Muslims.

Harussani Zakaria, mufti of the northern state of Perak, told AFP the "poco-poco" dance violated Islamic law.

"The poco-poco dance is actually a cult dance," he said.

"Our research indicates that the dance really originates from Jamaica and there are many Christian rituals to it as the moves reflect the making of a cross and so is unacceptable in Islam," he added.

"The dance is also practised in the Philippines and parts of Indonesia which have a Christian majority and so the dances have many Christian influences, which clash with Islam," Harussani said.

US judge rules for Muslim apastasy bus ads - exposing the big secret ~ there is compulsion in Islam!!

To state the obvious ~ that most of the Muslim world is prevented from leaving Islam ~ with force and coercive measures ~ which are used to some extent even in the 'free' west ~ is to be hateful. It shows that with Islam we are heading down the rabbit hole!! Reality has been kicked aside.

The aim for most of the prominent Islamic groups in the west ~ is to get everyone to join Islam ~ in order to create one of those failed repressive religious states ~ that we see in the Sharia belt outside of Europe's borders.

Non-Muslims become 'protected' citizens ~ not quite full citizens ~ and we all live happily ever after!!

To the Muslims trying to take over yet another advanced nation ~ if you want a modern state ~ build one!!

DETROIT -- A group that says it helps Muslims quit their faith has won a court order against Detroit's regional transit system for rejecting bus ads that ask, "Fatwa on your head? ... Leaving Islam? Got questions? Get answers!"

U.S. District Judge Denise Page Hood granted a preliminary injunction Thursday against the bus system, which was sued last year by the American Freedom Defense Initiative.

The advocacy group says the Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation violated the group's First and 14th Amendment rights by rejecting the ads it submitted May 12.

"There is a strong likelihood," the judge wrote, that the ad's promoters could show that the bus company's decision to reject the ads "was not reasonable but rather arbitrary and capricious." Hood set a conference on the case for April 11.
