Second 'Jihad Jane' charged over cartoonist Lars Vilks 'murder plot'

Colleen R. LaRose and Ms Paulin Ramirez

Jamie Paulin Ramirez, right, is accused of accepting an invitation by Colleen LaRose, left, to a terror training camp

Wacky and Wackier!

A second US woman has been charged over the alleged "Jihad Jane" terror plot to kill the Swedish cartoonist whose drawing of the prophet Mohammed triggered worldwide protests in 2007.

Mother-of-one Jamie Paulin Ramirez, 31, surrendered herself to FBI agents at Philadelphia airport, Pennsylvania, after flying in from Ireland where she had been freed earlier.

Ramirez, a US resident from Colorado, was first arrested in Ireland on suspicion of conspiring with her "friend" Colleen LaRose to murder Lars Vilks.

US prosecutors claim Ramirez was a travelling companion of LaRose, who called herself "Jihad Jane” in online forums.

It is alleged that in August 2009 LaRose emailed Ramirez urging her to join her and others in Europe at a location she described as "like a training camp as well as a home" to "to participate in and in support of violent jihad”.

Ramirez is accused of accepting the invitation and flying out to Europe in September with her six-year-old son. She has been charged with conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists and could face a 15-year sentence in prison if convicted.

Her indictment also alleges that she married an unnamed co-conspirator on the day of her arrival, despite only having had online contact with him.

LaRose, a 46-year-old American, pleaded not guilty last month in a Philadelphia court to recruiting Islamist militants and faces a life sentence and a $1 million fine.

Malaysian Custody Dispute Lost Between Shari'a And Civil Courts

KUALA LUMPUR — Through most of their 17-year marriage, M. Indira Gandhi says she and her husband observed rituals that she considered integral to their Hindu faith. Each morning they would pray before a shrine and on Fridays they would fast. During festivals they donned brightly colored, traditional outfits to attend their local temple.

Those were traditions Ms. Gandhi assumed they would be passing on to their three young children.

But nearly a year ago Ms. Gandhi was stunned to discover that her husband had converted to Islam. Her surprise turned to anger when she discovered that, without consulting her, he had also converted their children.

“If he wants to convert, O.K. But these are children that were born from both of us,” said Ms. Gandhi, a kindergarten teacher in Ipoh, a town about a two-hour drive from Kuala Lumpur.

Her husband’s action has left Ms. Gandhi navigating the conflicting jurisdictions of Malaysia’s religious and civil courts in a case that has challenged the authority of Shariah courts in this predominantly Muslim country.

Under Malaysia’s two-tier judicial system, Islamic Shariah courts handle family law cases involving Muslims, while secular courts handle those involving non-Muslims. But the lines have become blurred in cases involving interfaith disputes. Religious minorities have complained that they are at a disadvantage when their case falls to an Islamic court.

Last year, a Shariah court granted Ms. Gandhi’s husband, Muhammad Ridzuan Abdullah, custody over their children. But last month, in what some called a landmark ruling, a civil court overturned the Shariah court’s decision and transferred custody back to Ms. Gandhi. On Thursday, Mr. Ridzuan failed in his bid to obtain a stay order on that ruling.

On Friday, Ms. Gandhi plans to ask the court for permission to contest the children’s conversion. One of her lawyers, K. Shanmuga, said he could not recall an instance when a civil court had overturned a child’s conversion to Islam.

Lawyers say they have seen an increasing number of cases in recent years where one parent, typically the father, has converted to Islam and converted the children without the other parent’s knowledge.

Once they are converted and their identity card is stamped “Islam,” the children face far-reaching consequences.

Mr. Shanmuga said children who are converted must study Islam at school and are subject to Shariah laws that state that Muslims cannot marry outside the faith, must raise their children as Muslims and cannot participate in non-Muslim religious ceremonies.

Malik Imtiaz Sarwar, a human rights lawyer and president of the National Human Rights Society of Malaysia, said he believed that some parents had converted their children to Islam to gain a “tactical advantage” in custody disputes.

In recent years, he said, civil courts have ruled that a convert to Islam is entitled to take a custody dispute to a Shariah court, even if the other partner is a non-Muslim.

Non-Muslims cannot appear in Shariah court and lawyers say such a court is more likely to award custody to the Muslim parent when the children have been converted.

Malaysia’s Constitution says that the religion of a child under 18 should be decided by the parent or guardian. Some lawyers have argued that this should be interpreted to mean both parents, but the courts have not agreed, ruling that the consent of one parent is sufficient to convert a child to Islam.

Once a person has become a Muslim, it is difficult to change. It requires permission from the Shariah court, but Mr. Shanmuga said there were no established criteria for renouncing Islam. [Exactly, prison time is almost guaranteed]

“Anybody who steps out of Islam, the Shariah court and the general Muslim population frown on,” said Mohammad Hashim Kamali, an Islamic law expert and chief executive officer of the International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies. “The procedures are not made easy for them.”

Last year, the Malaysian cabinet announced that it wanted to bar the conversion of children without both parents’ consent.

But so far no legislation has been passed to turn the cabinet’s decision into law, said M. Kulasegaran, the Democratic Action Party parliamentary member for Ipoh West and another of Ms. Gandhi’s lawyers.

A spokesman for the Attorney General’s Chambers declined to comment on the issue.

Mr. Hashim, the Islamic law expert, has recommended establishing a special court of mixed jurisdiction where both Shariah and civil judges would adjudicate disputes involving Muslims and non-Muslims on issues such as child conversion and custody.

Mr. Malik said that when parents have sought redress in the civil courts over their children’s conversion, the courts have generally ruled that such issues must be handled by the Shariah court.

He said recent rulings have followed the precedent set by the case of Lina Joy in 2007. Ms. Joy, who converted from Islam to Christianity, applied to Malaysia’s highest civil court to have her conversion recognized. But the court ruled that conversion falls under Shariah jurisdiction. Ms. Joy has since left the country, Mr. Malik said.

While Ms. Gandhi’s lawyers debate jurisdiction, Ms. Gandhi is focused not only on contesting her children’s conversion but on being reunited with her youngest daughter.

Her eldest children, aged 12 and 13, have lived with her since she separated from her husband, but it has been nine months since she last saw her youngest daughter, who will soon celebrate her second birthday.

Despite the court decision awarding her custody, her husband had refused to return the girl as of Thursday night.

“I missed a lot of her childhood,” said Ms. Gandhi. “It’s not about religion. It’s about humankind. What does she know that she’s been converted?”

Good Friday Message CBN: Jerusalem Bears Witness to Greatest Story [Video]

JERUSALEM, Israel - Jerusalem itself bears witness to the greatest story ever told; the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Two thousand year old olive trees still thrive in the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus agonized before his death.

An ancient Roman road leads from the Kidron Valley up to the house of Caiphas, the Jewish high priest.

Stones from the fortress of Pontus Pilate bear the marks of a Roman soldier's game called "King for a Day." The impact of the last days of Jesus Christ and His disciples changed the world when according to the Bible; Jesus became the Passover lamb to atone for the sins of the world.

Historical Record

While some try to undermine the story, many biblical scholars say the life and death of Jesus is a matter of historical record.

Darrell Bock, professor of New Testament Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary points to the Jewish historian Josephus.

Bock said, "Josephus the book called Antiquities…Book 18; section 61-64 describes briefly the life of Jesus. Now, some of what he said is disputed because of whether or not it goes back to him, but the part that is not disputed is that Jesus was crucified by Pontus Pilate, and that it was the Jewish leadership that was responsible for bringing Him to crucifixion. And those were the base facts that correlate very nicely with the Biblical story."

The biblical story runs through this road called the Via Dolorosa or as it's called in English 'The Way of the Cross.' It marks the path from where Pontus Pilate sent Jesus to be crucified at Golgotha, the site of the Crucifixion. But in addition to Pontus Pilate, there's archeological evidence of other people involved in the Passion of Jesus, like Simon of Cyrene who carried the cross of Jesus.

"Both Simon of Cyrene, the father of Rufus and Alexander according to the Gospel of Mark and Caiphas, who was high priest at the time of Jesus who oversaw His Jewish trial are both independently," said Claire Pfann, an expert in early Christianity. "Now it's very interesting to think that when you're looking at this event that happened on one weekend in Jerusalem nearly 2, 000 years ago, that three of the people that played significant roles in that, and who are recorded in documentary evidence, are also attested to archeologically."

Evidence That Demands a Verdict

Beyond archeology, Father Jerry Murphy O'Connor, who's studied the Apostle Paul and the early apostles, believes those closest to Jesus - most who died for the faith - would not have given their lives for a lie.

Murphy said, "We can rest our faith on the resurrection of Jesus because that was the belief of His disciples, the ones who knew Him, the ones who traveled with Him. The ones who were the witnesses of the appearances, that meant He was alive. They were the witnesses of the empty tomb, that meant there was no body, that's why they had to say He was Risen from the dead."

"I think we also cannot also set aside the fact that Paul understands this to be a bodily resurrection," Pfann said. "He says that if Jesus has not been raised from the dead, then our faith is pointless, in vain and everything we are doing is futile. I don't think that Paul is talking about some visionary, spiritual manifestation resurrection. He's talking about a literal, physical resurrection."

While some might say that our belief in the Resurrection relies on faith alone, some scholars believe we have evidence that demands a verdict.

"We hear the same thing from even the pagan sources about the story that accompanies Christianity and what we find today is that these are all being questioned again," said Stephen Pfann, founder of the University of the Holy Land. "But it's great to have things like the ossuary of Caiphas, of Simon of Cyrene, to bear witness to the fact that these stories are not just fabrication, but they really are based on historical fact."

Ken Trestrail, a guide at Jerusalem's Garden Tomb says the greatest benefit of the Resurrection is what Jesus does for every man's soul.

"The moment in time we do business with Him, He takes us in our arms, His blood will deal with our sin problem," Trestrail said. "And He lifts us out of time and He plants our fate with His in the Heavenlies. Here's good news in a day of bad news. Two thousand years ago, death couldn't hold Jesus and 2,000 years on, death won't hold those of us who die in Christ Jesus."

But perhaps the greatest proof of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ lies beyond the Old City walls of Jerusalem. It's the testimony of more than a billion Christians from every tongue and tribe who say their lives have been forever changed by the resurrected Jesus.

Islamic Bonnie and Clyde: 'Black Widow' with Terro-Hubby who 'blew herself up on the Moscow metro' [Pics]

Staring defiantly into the camera with guns in their hands, this is the teenage bride suspected of blowing up the Moscow metro this week and her militant husband whose death is believed to have prompted the suicide attack.

Dzhennet Abdurakhmanova, believed to be just 17 years old, became a widow last year when her husband, Dagestani Islamist rebel Umalat Magomedov was killed.

Monday's bombing, which killed 39 people and wounded 90 others, is believed to be a revenge attack for the deaths of men - including Magomedov - at the hands of Russian troops in Chechnya.

Abdurakhmanova was among the Chechen women known as the 'Black Widows', who have vowed to avenge the deaths of their fathers, brothers and husbands killed by Russian forces.

Magomedov died when traffic police began shooting down a car in which he and three other militants were travelling in in the town of Khasavyurt, Dagestan.

Monday's rush hour attack, in which Abdurakhmanova and an accomplice are believed to have detonated explosive vests 40 minutes apart, has prompted fears of a wave of Black Widow suicide bombings in Russia.

These fears intensified on Wednesday when a bomb at a school in Dagestan, which borders Chechnya, left 12 people dead.

According to Russia's Kommersant newspaper, Abdurakhmanova's husband was the leader of a terrorist group in Dagestan linked to the Islamist movement of Doku Umarov, who today claimed responsibility for the metro bombings.

Umarov, who leads Islamic militants in Chechnya and other regions in Russia's North Caucasus, said in a video posted on a pro-rebel website that the twin suicide attacks were an act of revenge for the killing of civilians by Russian security forces.

He warned that attacks on Russian cities would continue.

Police released photographs of the facial remains of the two bombers this week. The woman who carried out the second bombing has not been identified but Kommersant claims it was a 20-year-old Chechen woman Markha Ustarkhanova. [..]

Six Buddhists killed in Thailand's insurgency-plagued south

Interesting video [2009] although they try to give a balanced view ~ they quote Human Rights Watch saying that the Thai forces used heavy handed methods against the Muslim militants. What is worst is that when the Thai officials asked for either military training, equipment or financing to help control the uprising in the Muslim majority south ~ HRW spoke out against this US aid saying that they were helping a government that was repressing its people. The US response was they don't know what HRW was talking about. Let's be clear what those Muslim insurgents are doing down there is nothing short of ~ think about a local school in your area. These Muslims have been riding on motor bikes around schools and hacking up teachers with machetes. They have been beheading Buddhists monks.

Whereas HRW in order to raise funds attended a dinner or a series of dinners in Saudi Arabia [2009]. This is the place that whips rape victims. Imprisons and lashes 80 year old ladies, for receiving bread from 'unrelated' men ~ nephew of dead husband ~ knowing full well that the woman was hungry and been asking neighbors for food. HRW sat with them. And to prove their Islamo-cred they pulled out all their anti-Israel stuff. Their aim no doubt is to blame all the Islamic insurgencies around the world on Israel.

NARATHIWAT, Thailand, April 1 (Reuters) - Suspected Islamic insurgents shot dead six Buddhist villagers in Thailand's restive south on Thursday, police said, the latest attack in the troubled region bordering Malaysia.

The villagers in Narathiwat province were believed to have been ambushed, said police Colonel Sanit Suwanno. Two bodies were found in a pick-up truck and four were discovered in a hilly forest nearby, he added.

Ten policemen and soldiers were also wounded when a roadside bomb exploded as they were travelling to the scene of the shootings, police said.

More than 3,900 people have been killed in six years of unrest as ethnic Malay Muslims fight for autonomy from Thailand's Buddhist majority in the region just a few hours by car from some of Thailand's best-known tourist beaches.

Local Muslims largely oppose the presence of tens of thousands of police, soldiers and state-armed Buddhist guards in rubber-rich region, which was part of a Malay Muslim sultanate until annexed by Thailand a century ago.

About 80 percent of Thailand's three southern provinces of Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat are Muslim.

The violence has ranged from drive-by shootings to bombings and beheadings. It often targets Buddhists and Muslims associated with the Thai state, such as police, soldiers, government officials and teachers.

More U.S. Muslims facing problems in return from abroad [read Yemen], groups say

The highly influential Yemeni, Sheik Abdul-Majid al-Zindani, whom the U.S. has branded a spiritual mentor of Osama bin-Laden but who is also courted by the Yemeni government for his important backing, attends a conference for tribal chiefs in San'a, Yemen, Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010

The US sends clear message to Yemeni's terrorist enablers ~ US converts to Islam who travel to Yemen to 'learn Arabic' may be denied entry into the US. Even temporarily this puts the kibosh in recruiters plans. If converts and Arab Americans are travelling to Yemen ~ and are being given training to carry out terrorist attacks. There is now no certainty that that US passport holder will be allowed entry to the US ~ as planned. US rights group CAIR is naturally upset, but rightly before people are allowed back into the US they should be questioned. They may well be traitors.

Pictured ↑↑ the top Islamic cleric has sworn jihad against the US if it interferes with Yemeni al-Qaeda ~ also runs the largest Islamic school in the country of which the Christmas Day bomber attended and possibly the young convert who shot at and killed one serviceman at a US army recruitment center. Maj. Nidal Hassan who took down 13 of his fellow servicemen was also corresponding with a leading Yemeni/American cleric.

And before all this the thing to most make the news from Yemen was the spate of kidnapping, killings and even suicide bombings of the expat community and tourists. At one stage they sprayed the US Embassy over there with bullets killing several of those waiting outside. How these converts to Islam thought Yemen ws a safe place to visit is questionable ~ unless? And this is what US and every other western government needs to find out. What was their business in Yemen.

Muslim advocacy groups say an increasing number of Muslim and Arab U.S. citizens and permanent residents who travel abroad are facing new complications in returning to the United States because of heightened security.

An attempted Christmas day bombing on a Detroit-bound airplane caused soul-searching in government agencies after it became clear that the alleged would-be bomber, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, was not on a watch list. Since then, the no-fly list has swelled from 3,400 people to about 6,000, with thousands more on the list for travelers who warrant extra screening.

The lists are not made public, and most people don't know they are on one until they arrive at the airport. In one case, an American says he has been barred from returning to the United States without explanation.

Raymond Earl Knaeble IV said that when he presented his U.S. passport at the airport in Bogota, Colombia, for a flight to Miami last month, "They came back and told me, 'You can't fly with any airlines to the USA.' "

Knaeble, 29, a California-born military contractor scheduled to start a job in Texas that week, said the airline sent him to the U.S. Embassy to straighten things out. There, he said, an FBI agent questioned him about his recent conversion to Islam and a trip to Yemen, where he had spent three months studying Arabic.

"He said, 'I can't give you back your passport,' " Knaeble said. That was almost three weeks ago, and Knaeble says no one has told him why.

Khalilah Sabra, director of the immigrant justice program at the Falls Church-based Muslim American Society, said that since Christmas the organization has seen a 50 percent increase in reports of extensive questioning and delays of Arabs and Muslims, to about 16 cases a month. "Getting out [of the U.S.] is okay. No one says anything, but when they try to come back they are not allowed in, or they are being questioned," she said.

The Obama administration plans to replace rules instituted after the Christmas bombing attempt that stepped up airport screening of people traveling to or from 14 countries, or holding passports from those countries, to a system that focuses more on intelligence data such as red-flag travel patterns, senior officials said Thursday. It's not clear whether that change will affect people who have faced increased difficulties traveling in recent months.

Government officials have said in recent weeks that the lists are likely to continue to grow. "The entire federal government is leaning very far forward on putting people on lists," said Russell Travers, deputy director for Information Sharing and Knowledge Development at the National Counterterrorism Center, at a Senate hearing March 10.

Timothy Healy, director of the FBI's Terrorist Screening Center, said that for now, based on intelligence and the threat level at the time, certain people have been provisionally moved from lower-level watchlists to more restrictive ones. "They were moved as a precaution, and we're in the process of reviewing that," he said.

For travelers -- mostly men -- who are questioned, "it's really having a chilling effect," said Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesman for the Council on American Islamic Relations, which has been advising Knaeble and others. "People do whatever they can now not to cross borders if they're Muslim because they feel there's some potential for humiliation."

The State and Homeland Security departments declined to comment for this article, but officials have acknowledged that the lists can produce false positives.

To streamline the process and reduce misidentifications, the Transportation Security Administration has begun the Secure Flight program, which asks for additional information from travelers, and the Traveler Redress Inquiry Program, or TRIP, which allows people who think they are on a list to ask the government to investigate their situation.

Since 2007, about 91,000 people have applied, and two thirds have received case numbers to present in travel. Most were never really on a list, Healy said, adding that airlines can have other reasons for questioning or delaying travelers.

Applicants are never told whether they were on a list or removed from one; the only way to know is to try flying again.

But if a traveler is abroad while waiting the 60 days for a case to be processed, "basically, if you're stuck, you're out of luck," Sabra said.

Darryl Dalil Javid, 44, a District native and convert to Islam, learned that when he tried to fly out of Yemen in January. He had moved there five years ago, returning regularly to the United States to work as a facilities manager. Last year, his Yemeni visa expired, but he said he continued to fly in and out without problems.

After the Christmas bombing attempt, however, Yemen began to deport people without valid visas, Javid said, and when it tried to deport him, he could not find an airline that would let him fly to the United States. At one point, he made it as far as Istanbul only to be denied boarding on a Chicago-bound flight.

"They don't tell you anything, what's your situation, how do you get out of your situation," he said. "You have to figure it out."

Speaking by phone last month from a holding cell in the Yemeni Interior Ministry, Javid said he had had the bad luck to study for a month at the same Arabic language school -- the Sana'a Institute for the Arabic Language -- that Abdulmutallab had once attended, although Javid said he had never seen or heard of him there. Yemen was cheap, he said, and he found community there with other American converts.

"We are not disgruntled, we're not, 'Oh, I hate America, I want to live somewhere else,' " he said.

After he was barred from the Chicago flight, Javid spent a week sleeping in the Istanbul airport, flying briefly to Morocco only to be turned back. Finally, he was sent back to Yemen and put in a room full of detainees in the Interior Ministry. In each country, he said, he was questioned by embassy officials and FBI agents.

Knaeble, too, said he chose Yemen because it was cheap. He converted to Islam about a year ago, after working in Kuwait for three years as a driver. In the past 2 1/2 weeks, he said, FBI agents in Bogota have questioned him about his view of jihad and whether he knows the Christmas day bombing suspect and the suspect in the Fort Hood slayings.

Knaeble is paying $50 a night for a Bogota hotel. The FBI has given him $500 to cover expenses, but he said he feels trapped.

"I don't understand, what did I do? Why can't I go back to the USA?" He has lost his job, he said, and some of his faith in the government he served in the military.

Javid finally returned to the United States March 25, after U.S. Embassy officials told him that he could buy a ticket only on a certain flight carrying U.S. air marshals.

In his mother's townhouse in Laurel this week, he sat in a white robe, surrounded by copies of the Koran. He said the ordeal, including air tickets he could not use, cost him about $6,000.

"Security is always inconvenient," he said. "But I think it's without serious consideration of what people can go through, when you say, 'Okay, put them on [the list] first and investigate them later.' "

Two arrested after fight breaks out over Muslims praying in former Spanish mosque

Two men were arrested and two guards injured after a fight broke out between police and tourists at a former mosque in Spain.

Trouble broke out when the tourists broke a ban on Muslim prayers at the converted cathedral in Cordoba, according to the local bishop's office.

Six members of a group of 118 Muslim tourists who were visiting the cathedral knelt to pray and were promptly ordered to stop by security guards.

As they refused to stop praying, they were "invited to continue with their visit or leave the cathedral" after they refused to stop praying, the Cordoba's bishop's office said in a statement.

The security guards then called in police, who were attacked by the visiting Muslim tourists, it added. Two policemen were injured and two of the Muslim tourists were detained.

"They provoked in an organised fashion a deplorable episode of violence," the statement said, adding "this was a one time incident that does not represent the genuine Muslim identity as there are many who display attitudes of respect and dialogue with the Catholic Church."

"We deplore the damage done to the image of our city and to the peaceful coexistence of visitors and citizens. We hope and desire that this type of incident will not repeat itself in the future," it added.

The bishop's office did not give the nationality of the two men who were arrested but news radio Cadena Ser said they were Austrian.

Police found a knife on one of the arrested men, it added citing anonymous local police sources.

Bishop Demetrio Fernandez Gonzalez recently reiterated that a ban on Muslim prayers at the former mosque which turned into a Christian cathedral in the 13th century must remain in place despite calls by local Muslims for the rule to be loosened.

That Spain doesn't call itself an Arab nation is upsetting to many in the Muslim world who reminisce about an Islamic Spain. No one is allowed to leave and then live and that includes countries. Most westerners think this longing for Spain sentiment is isolated to Bin Laden and fellow henchmen. But the reality of how deeply set these beliefs are might surprise people. Spain just wasn't meant to be Islamic!

Thing is ~ back in the day once the Europeans finially flung the Muslim group [mostly Syrians] out after having driven them to a position deep in the south ~ Al-Andalusia ~ some of Spain's Princes wanted to continue the fight and take Morocco back for Christianity. Although Islam had taken root in the Morocco/Algeria region ~ they had pushed the Middle Eastern Muslims colonizers out long before Spain did. Once they finally pushed them out many of the North Africans left Spain. They were never really respected by their Middle Eastern overlords, the North African in Spain was relegate to manual labor. Those in the Berber Mountains resisted conversion to Islam the longest. And even today they force the mountain people to give their children 'proper' Arab names. [Muslims are not free to name their children as they wish ~ you might have noticed. In this case it is traditional Berber names that have been effectively banned ~ or the child's birth can't be registered.] Imagine if Islam was somehow driven out or left North Africa. If the Arab tyranny could retreat back to Arabia. It might be a great day for Europe!

Merkel strikes conciliatory tone with Turks

The Ottomans beyond the Gates of Vienna?

The German chancellor Angela Merkel struck a surprisingly conciliatory note towards the end of her visit to Turkey.

German chancellor Angela Merkel’s two-day visit to Turkey this week did well to demonstrate the friction between the two countries, but ended in relative harmony. The debate over Turkish schools in Germany seems to have been resolved. Regarding Turkey’s possible EU membership, another controversial subject, Merkel said that past agreements would be honoured and that the accession process still has an “open ending”.

Merkel, a Christian democrat, is sending different signals from those of past. She has always said she wanted Turkey to become a ‘privileged partner’ rather than a member of the European Union. The conservative wing of her party opposes Turkish EU membership. Merkel’s change of tone seems to be the result of the deals cut in the formation of the new German coalition government at the end of last year.

Merkel’s visit was initially overshadowed by remarks Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan made in the German press. He proposed founding Turkish high schools with classes taught in Turkish for the many Turkish immigrants in Germany, and immediately met with heavy resistance. This was not the first time the Turkish prime minister had tried to interfere in German domestic affairs. Two years ago in Cologne, he called “assimilation a crime against humanity”, another remark that led to consternation in Germany.

Merkel reacted pointedly. She feels it is a matter of principle that children in Germany should attend German schools, as it improves integration into German society. Germany is home to some 2.5 million people with Turkish roots. Cities like Berlin, Cologne and Munich have major Turkish communities. A number of Turkish schools already exist in those cities. Most of them have been founded by parents who fear their children may lag behind if they attend other schools because of poor education or veiled discrimination. At these private Turkish schools German is the first language and Turkish the second.

On Tuesday, the German chancellor put her remarks regarding Turkish schools in Germany into perspective, saying she was open to the idea, “as long as it does not mean that Turkish students will neglect the German language”.

She visited a German school in Istanbul on Tuesday. During an on-stage debate she responded positively to a plan to found a German-Turkish university in Istanbul. Some 5,000 Turkish students should be able to attend the future university. The language of instruction would be German, and the faculty recruited from Germany.

All in all, Angela Merkel was mainly seeking reconciliation on her visit to Turkey. She had even brought a white porcelain dove made by a 9-year-old girl as a peace offering to Erdogan. Not only did the conflict regarding Turkish schools seem to have been put to an end with the proposal to found a joint university, but something positive seems to have been generated.

As far as Turkey’s possible EU membership was concerned, it was remarkable that the chancellor acknowledged, for the first time, that her proposal for a privileged partnership “did not go over well”.

The German governing coalition has a clear written agreement over its position regarding Turkish accession to the EU. It states that the “The negotiations which commenced in 2005 with the aim of accession are an open-ended process that is not automatic in nature and the outcome cannot be guaranteed in advance”. Accessions talks will continue in the meanwhile. Only when it becomes clear that Turkey cannot live up to the EU’s conditions, or when the EU proves unable to accept Turkey as one of its own, would the privileged partnership again become an option.

This was the message Merkel spread in Turkey in the last two days. A far less unyielding one than Germany has sent in the past. - International - Merkel strikes conciliatory tone with Turks

Dutch immigration comes at hefty price ~ mass immigration policy failure concealed

Immigrants are expensive for Dutch society, but few people want to say it out loud for fear of the consequences, a study by a Dutch scientist has found.

The economic effects of immigration have become a hot-button issue in Dutch politics. The mere mention of the subject is often greeted with suspicion and loathing. But that didn’t stop scholar Jan van de Beek from writing his doctoral thesis on the issue. In his PhD research, which he defended at the University of Amsterdam on Tuesday, he answered two related questions: what kind of economic consequences did mass immigration to the Netherlands between 1960 and 2005 have, and why is it such a taboo to study the economic effects of these immigrants?

Van de Beek has come to conclusions the Netherlands may not like. Since the 1970s, little research has been done into the economic effects of immigration, for fear of playing into the hand of the xenophobic right. As recently as last year, populist politician Geert Wilders asked the Dutch cabinet to calculate the net costs or benefits imposed on society by immigrants. Cabinet refused to do so, which led to uproar amongst several opposition parties. The minister responsible called it “improper” to reduce citizens’ contribution to society “to a profit-loss analysis”.

The reluctance to study the matter has done well to conceal some unpleasant facts, Van de Beek claims. For one, the Dutch policy of recruiting workers from outside of Europe in the 1960s needlessly delayed the modernisation of Dutch industry. As the Dutch economy was modernised in the 1980s, many immigrants were laid off and became dependent on welfare. Even today, the Dutch welfare state mainly attracts immigrants that impose a net cost on the Dutch economy, Van de Beek found.

Van de Beek is a mathematician and a cultural anthropologist. He is interested in social problems and has a soft spot for numbers. “In 1999, I was writing my master’s thesis about Dutch asylum policy,” he said in an interview. “I wanted to devote a chapter to the economic aspects of the matter, because the asylum debate centres mostly on numbers. To my surprise, I couldn’t find any sources. Filling this gap became the subject of my doctoral research.”

43,000 euros per immigrant

Since then, some other researchers have ventured into the area. In the same year Van de Beek wrote his thesis, economist Pieter Lakeman estimated that immigrants cost the Dutch state 5.9 billion euros each year. An analysis by a Dutch government agency in 2003 found that an immigrant who arrives here at age 25 costs Dutch society 43,000 euros over the rest of his lifetime on average.

For his PhD, Van de Beek studied all research published on migratory economics since 1960. He interviewed scholars about their attempts to investigate the economic consequences of immigration and spoke to (former) politicians about the motives underlying immigration policy. He also tried to answer the question of why prominent Dutch government think tanks had so little to say about the matter.

The title of his dissertation became Knowledge, Power and Morality. “Morality stands for Dutch political correctness, but that is a term I chose not to use,” Van de Beek said. “I prefer the term ‘moral reading’: the phenomenon that knowledge is not judged according to its factual merit, but according to its social, political and moral consequences.

“In the 1980s and 1990s people in the Netherlands feared the rise of the radical-right,” he explained. In 1983 the Centrumpartij (CP) garnered nine percent of the votes in Almere’s municipal election. The party opposed immigration and was later banned for inciting racism and hatred. “This shocked the Netherlands,” Van de Beek said. “The Second World War was still the moral frame of reference. We were not allowed to know the true cost of immigration because this could play into the CP’s hands. This left a huge gap in our body of knowledge.”

An economic disaster

“The recruitment of labourers in the 1960s”, Van de Beek said, “was an economic disaster. The stated intent here was to keep wages down, but we would have been better served by letting them rise. The switch from an industrial economy to one dependent on capital was inevitable for us to be competitive internationally. It would have been best to make that change in the 1960s, when the economy was booming. Finally, we had to restructure the economy anyway and many of the immigrants who came here in the 1960s were laid off in the 1970s and 1980s and ended up on benefits.”

Immigration remained an expensive issue long thereafter. In the Netherlands, the state redistributes a lot of money. “The government loses money on its less well-educated citizens. They contribute less in taxes and other payments over the course of their lives than they receive in the form of subsidised healthcare, education, benefits and pensions. This means there is little point for the Netherlands to try to attract uneducated labour from abroad.”

Van de Beek recalled a report about immigration published in 2001 by a Dutch government think tank. Harry van Dalen, a Dutch economist who was asked to contribute a chapter regarding its economic effects, met with resistance when he tried to discuss the tension between immigration and the welfare state. “A fundamental problem,” Van de Beek said. “But the project group wouldn’t hear of it. Other members feared such an analysis would lead to immigrants being blamed for reform of the welfare state.”

Van de Beek shares Van Dalen’s analysis. “A welfare state leads to a levelling of income. This makes it relatively unattractive for an Indian IT specialist to come to the Netherlands, because the educated earn relatively little here. He would prefer to move to the United States. The Netherlands attracts fewer educated immigrants, unlike Canada or Australia. Those countries recruit much more actively and have a selective admission policy. They put national interests first. That serves both the host nation and immigrants better, because it means they are welcome and will thrive.” - International - Features - Immigration comes at hefty price

Antwerp: Lecture shouted down by radical Muslims

Dutch author and notorious critic of Islam, Benno Barnard, gave a lecture last night titled: "The Islam Debate: Long Live God, Down with Allah!". It was part of a series of lectures about the Enlightenment, organized by the secularists in Antwerp University. Several radical Muslim organizations called beforehand via websites to come to the hall and disturb the lecture.

When the lecture began at 8pm, forty Muslims were among the public. The organizer of the lecture tried to get them to change their mind, but once Barnard began his speech, the youth stood up and started shouting. "I barely said a few words, and the leader stood up and shouted '[you] don't make fun of Allah'," says Bernard. "Afterward he and his followers started shouting 'Allah Akbar', and stormed the podium. If I hadn't had bodyguards, I wouldn't be able to talk to you now."

Several police-agents in plainclothes were present in the hall and quickly intervened. Twenty rioters were escorted out, but nobody was detained.

Rector Alain Verschoren of the University of Antwerp regrets the incident. "It bothers me greatly that they stopped the lecture after just two minutes. Those youth didn't even listen what the lecture was about. That can only mean that they were either afraid of the contents or that they didn't want to hear the contents."

The website of the radical organization Sharia4belgium took issue particularly with the title of the lecture. "The title is yet another slap in the face of the Muslim community," it said. Rector Verschoren tones it down: "The lecture indeed had a provoking title, but I think that extreme views should be allowed. As long as there's a possibility for an answer and discussion something like this is allowed at a pluralist institution like the UA."

Barnard himself was unhappy about the incident: "Isn't it appalling that an intellectual wants to give a lecture in the year 2010, and needs police protection? Actually, this is my best lecture ever. This incident shows what I've been trying to make clear for years: that the Islam is a completely intolerant system."

Saudi's To Behead Lebanese 'Infidel' 'Witch' In Chop Chop Square

The place in Saudi Arabia where they excise hands and heads has been dubbed Chop Chop Square.

It took the Arabs 800 years after Islam to root out the overt practises of the pre-Islamic Kaaba religion. No doubt the same methods were prescribed. The arrest and eventual death of this man sends a clear message to all the palm readers and such who you come across when you travel to the Islamic world. Of course Christians used to hunt down and kill anyone suspected of being a witch ~ but that was a long time ago. I think the Saudis are showing that wealth doesn't make you modern, nor does it make you moderate.

Ali Hussain Sibat has never killed, robbed or sexually assualted anyone. And yet within 48 hours the Saudi authorities may cut off his head in a public square. His 'crime'? He hosted a popular Lebanese Satellite TV giving advice and predictions about the future.

46 year old Mr Sibat, a married man and father of five children, made the mistake of not knowing enough about Saudi Arabia's past and present. Underestimating how much the religious authorties are stuck in previous centuries, he ventured to the Land of the Two Holy Places on a pilgrimage - the 'umra'.

It's believed that while there, the religious police, the 'Mutawa'een' recognised Mr Sibat from the TV show and arrested him. His lawyers say the police asked him to write down what he did for a living and assured him that if he did so he would be free to go back to Lebanon. Instead he was taken to court where, in a closed session, his statement was used against him as a confession. He was sentenced to death in Medina on November the 9th last year and the sentence was upheld on March the 10th.

The judges, in their wisdom, said that he deserved to be killed because the proof that he practiced sorcery was obvious to the millions of people who had seen his programmes, and that his actions made him 'an infidel'. They went on to say that the death sentence would act as a deterence to the increasing number of 'foreign magicians' entering the Kingdom.

What lies behind this sentence appears to be the nagging fear in the clerics that, beneath the solid foundations of Islam, there still exists in the region widespread superstitions which pre-date their faith.

In Europe, Christianity superimposed various beliefs on top of existing cultural norms and Europeans still engage in practices which are against the teaching of the Church. They did so even when the Church had a much tighter grip on society. It is no co-incidence that Christmas is celebrated in the deep midwinter and Easter in the spring. After all those months of cold and darkness the Europeans needed a reason to celebrate and the Christians were smart enough to keep the party, but give it a different name. The dates for the major Christian festivals are more to do with pagan beliefs than historical accuracy about the birth and death of Jesus. In a similar manner millions of Muslims cling on to pre Islamic beliefs including fortune telling and horsoscopes.

Thus Mr Sibat, perhaps unwittingly, offered a challenge to the very basis of Saudi Arabia and therefore it appears he must be killed.

Amnesty International (of which this writer is a member) has urged the Lebanese government to intervene, arguing that Mr Sibat 'appears to have been convicted solely for the peaceful exercise of his right to freedom of expression,"

That is true if you are in the 21st century, but false if you still believe in witchcraft and believe it offers a threat to a power structure which places you at the top. The court decision is both obvious and astonishing. Obvious for the reasons stated, astonishing in that a Lebanese man can be killed by the Saudi state for hosting a Lebanese TV show.

The clerics would like to kill satellite television, they are settling, this time, for killing someone for appearing on satellite television.

US Judge: Camp Lejeune improperly banned anti-Islam stickers

RALEIGH, N.C. -[AP]- Camp Lejeune officials violated the rights of a military veteran who came to his job on base in a vehicle emblazoned with anti-Islamic decals after his son died in a terrorist bombing, a federal judge ruled.

Jesse Nieto's stickers included one that said "ISLAM (equals) TERRORISM" and another with a threat to defecate on the Quran. He also had a decal to commemorate the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, in which 17 shipmates died including Nieto's youngest son.

"His vehicle is a way to express his mourning and anger," said Nieto's attorney, Robert Muise. Nieto has been driving a different vehicle to his on-base job since the summer of 2008, but Muise said he plans to return with his decals next week. He has worked at Lejeune since 1994 and previously served 25 years in the Marine Corps, including two combat tours as an infantryman in Vietnam.

U.S. District Judge Malcolm J. Howard said in a ruling posted Wednesday that a Lejeune regulation targeting inflammatory speech on base was improperly applied to Nieto's decals and not to pro-Islamic messages that may be just as incendiary. Howard concluded that the application of the rule violated Nieto's free speech.

"While military officials are entitled to great deference in restricting speech to further the military's needs, they may not do so in a manner that discriminates against a particular point of view," Howard wrote in his decision.

Nieto did not seek monetary damages in his lawsuit. Camp Lejeune officials did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

One of Nieto's decals showed a picture of the cartoon character Calvin urinating on an illustration of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Another declared, "WE DIED, THEY REJOICED." Another said "Disgrace My Countries Flag And I will (defecate) On Your Quran."

A few of the stickers were removed after a traffic court hearing in 2008. He then added another decal with a line striking through the Islamic crescent moon and start, with the words "No Quarter" and "Islamic Terrorist" on it. Nieto was then ordered to remove all of his decals, but he refused.

Camp Lejeune's rules say that vehicles cannot display messages of "extremist, indecent, sexist or racist" nature. Muise said the base was picking and choosing which messages to restrict.

"It's political correctness run amok," he said.

Fort Hood massacre suspect being moved to jail

BELTON, Texas (AP) — The officer charged in the Fort Hood massacre is being processed to move to the Belton County Jail as he faces a June 1 hearing at the post.

Defense attorney John Galligan says doctors at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio gave Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan a "discharge physical" Wednesday evening.

Hasan was not included Thursday in an online listing of inmates in the jail, located about 15 miles from the central Texas post. Sheriff's Deputy Felix Gutierrez told The Associated Press that he could not give out any information.

Galligan says the 183-day jail contract to house Hasan began Wednesday. Hasan was paralyzed from the chest down after civilian police shot him to stop the Nov. 5 rampage.

Hasan faces 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 of attempted premeditated murder.

Another bomb goes off in northern Caucasus ~ possibly terrorists themselves

In the southern Russian region of Dagestan, two people have been killed after a car packed with explosives went off. A third person was seriously injured.

The victims are believed to have been sitting inside the car. The explosives may have gone off unintentionally.

The incident comes just a day after a double suicide attack in the volatile Russian region, in which 12 people were killed. And after Monday's suicide attacks in Moscow's underground which killed 39 commuters.

Terrorist attacks are a frequent occurrence in Dagestan in the northern Caucasus, where Islamic separatists are fighting for their own state.

The double suicide attack in Moscow has been claimed by Chechen rebel leader Doku Umarov. The leader of the Islamic Chechen separatists also claimed an attack on an express train between Moscow and Saint Petersburg last year, in which 26 people died.

Doku Umarov, who uses the nom de guerre Abu Usman and had pledged a "holy war" of attacks throughout the country last month.

The Wrong Way to Fight Jihad

Frontpage Interview’s guest today is Vijay Kumar, who is currently running for the U.S. Congress as a Republican candidate for Tennessee 5th Congressional District. The Primary vote comes on August 5 of this year, and the General Election is on November 4. When he ran before, in 2008, he received about 30% of the vote in Republican Primary. His website is Visit his blog at

FP: Vijay Kumar, welcome to Frontpage Interview.

You are one of the rare individuals running for office in America who is actually making the issue of Islamic Jihad a significant part of your campaign. Tell us your view of Islamic Jihad and the background you have to make you see it the way you do.

Kumar: I am a native of Hyderabad, India, which is where I first encountered the Muslim culture. We have a substantial number of Muslims there, a higher percentage than most other parts of India, and I began to observe things that troubled me. Later, I traveled a number of Islamic nations, and I lived in Iran from 1976 to 1979, during the Islamic Revolution of Ayatollah Khomeini. I immigrated to the United States in 1979. All my life, I have been interested in political thought. During my travels, I came to realize that Islam is unlike any of the other world religions for a variety of reasons, and they summate to the Islamic ideology behind Jihad.

First, Islam was conceived as a world empire to govern all mankind. It teaches that all the world, and everyone and everything in it, already belongs to Islam–some people just haven’t been made to understand that. Until they have, according to Islam, they are considered “infidels” and inferiors. Put another way, the Islamic view is that all of us in the world are subjects of the Islamic Empire, and those of us who do not acknowledge our subjugation to it must be overcome and brought to submission, through conversion or force. No other religion in the world has such a purpose of world conquest and domination.

Second, Islam does not allow any introspection or self-criticism. It calls for total acceptance, total submission. The very word “Islam” means “submission,” and the word “Muslim” means “one who submits.” The other side of submission, of course, is domination. Islam seeks to dominate every individual and every nation into submission. In that, it shares a key element of slavery, which the civilized world has properly decried and abolished. Such submission is a political act. I am a freeman, and I refuse to submit to Islamic hegemony.

Third, Islam does not have any exit policy for its believers. The act of submission required to become a Muslim is held to be final, irrevocable, and permanent. So criticizing or questioning Islam or its teachings or leaders, or attempting to leave Islam, all are considered severe crimes against Islam, punishable by death.

In contrast, non-Islamic religions allow for dissenting views, introspection, and reasoned debate. In non-Islamic religions, if you so choose, you can leave the faith you were born into without being threatened with physical violence or death. In Islam, both criticism of the faith and apostasy are capital offenses.

All of that is what drives Jihad: Jihad is a permanent war against the unbeliever and his land to bring about his submission. It has been going on for fourteen centuries all over the world, which is why I coined the term “Universal Jihad.” Islam’s Universal Jihad is the single greatest threat to Western civilization and to the entire non-Islamic world in general. It is more dangerous than Nazism and Communism combined.

FP: More dangerous than Nazism and Communism combined? Please explain this perspective.

Kumar: Nazism was in power for 15 years or so. Communism was in power for about 70 years. Today, Germany, Japan, and Russia, our former adversaries, are now our allies. Also, they are liberal democracies.

Nazism, Communism, and Islam are all three totalitarian ideologies. Communism and Nazism, though, lack a system of transcendental metaphysics, which Islam has. Nazism and Communism do not claim to be religions, and there is no threat of hell-fire to hold over its adherents. By contrast, Islam is a totalitarian form of governance that also claims to be a religion, and so has proved to be far more sustainable than any other form of aggressive totalitarianism.

The doctrine and politics of Universal Jihad have been assaulting the world for 1,400 years. It is exactly what launched the Christian Crusades, which were an attempt to save European civilization from the relentless onslaught and wholesale murder of invading Muslim forces.

Under Universal Jihad, non-Muslim civilizations have been annihilated. To mention just a few examples: Turkey was Christian; Iran was Zoroastrian; North Africa and the Middle East were predominantly Christian; Afghanistan and Central Asia were Buddhist; Pakistan was Hindu; Egypt was Coptic, orthodox Christian. All have fallen prey to invasion by Islam.

Today, Universal Jihad has been brought to the West–not just by overt violence, but through every strategy and tactic conceivable. Islam is not just the faith of another immigrant group; it is a complete political and paramilitary ideology. Political Islam is here to Islamize the Western nations, and that includes the United States.

So Universal Jihad is a permanent form of warfare against the infidels, their nation-states, and every non-Islamic form of government in the world. It has been Islam’s mandate for 1,400 years that other cultures must submit to it. Islam is devoted to an eternally-unchanging doctrine: it is obligated to conquer entire world.

No one needs to take my word for it. Syed Abul A’ala Maududi, a Pakistani, was arguably the most influential Muslim theologian and thinker of the 20th Century. He said the following point-blank:

“Islam wishes to destroy all States and Governments anywhere on the face of the earth which are opposed to the ideology and program of Islam regardless of the country or the Nation which rules it. The purpose of Islam is to set up a State on the basis of its own ideology and program . . . [T]he objective of Islamic Jihad is to eliminate the rule of an un-Islamic system and establish in its stead an Islamic system of State rule. Islam does not intend to confine this revolution to a single State or a few countries; the aim of Islam is to bring about a universal revolution.”

Any Muslim or apologist who claims otherwise, or who insists that Islam is just “a religion of peace” is not arguing against me: they are arguing against their own most revered leaders and experts on Islam and its true purpose. They are spreading Islamic propaganda that has no other purpose than to lull the infidel into a false sense of friendship and security.

Such propaganda is a primary and vitally important tool of Islam’s psychological warfare. Syed Abul A’ala Maududi also spelled out clearly how many different ways Universal Jihad is to be waged against ”the infidels”:

“In the jihad in the way of Allah, active combat is not always the role on the battlefield, nor can everyone fight in the front line. Just for one single battle preparations have often to be made for decades on end and the plans deeply laid, and while only some thousands fight in the front line there are behind them millions engaged in various tasks which, though small themselves, contribute directly to the supreme effort.”

Unlike any other religion anywhere in the world, Islam’s clear, inarguable overarching purpose is Universal Jihad and global conquest, using any means. It is not waged just through terrorism and violent conflict. That is an extraordinarily naive view. Islam also uses psychological warfare, propaganda, covert operations, infiltration, and demographic saturation.

Universal Jihad exists and no amount liberal “political correctness” is going to wish it away. It is here on the soil of the United States right this minute. Its openly-declared goal is to destroy the United States as a system of government, to tear up our Constitution, and subject us all to Islamic totalitarianism under Sharia law.

FP: Let me ask you this: World War I was won in four years, World War II was won in six years. But the Israel/Palestine and the India/Pakistan conflicts have not resolved after 62 years. Why do you think?

Kumar: It’s simple: Muslims do not want peace, they want conquest. When they enter into an alleged “peace accord,” it is only a ploy to buy time to build their position for ultimate conquest. This is by their own creed: in Islam’s system of “ethics,” it is perfectly acceptable to lie to mere infidels.

In the case of Israel, the West has never been 100% behind Israeli sovereignty. Both the West and Israel have always only wanted to buy truce with the Islamic nations–never peace. It is an endless case of appeasement that puts Neville Chamberlain to shame.

As I have said before, and as history proves conclusively and invariably, Islam does not recognize pluralism, and Islam never wants a lasting peace with any non-Islamic people or states. When Muslims are in a relatively weak position they may offer truce–a temporary agreement–but never lasting peace. Even a cursory study of the treaties made by Muhammad proves at once that every Islamic treaty is merely another tactic toward ultimate conquest and domination. He set the standard for using treaties as a path to conquest.

Since then, Islam has been waging a relentless war for the past 1,400 years against every non-Muslim within their reach. In the last century, technological advances have extended the reach of the Muslim world considerably. Anybody who believes that it’s suddenly going to change–for any reason, through any amount of “diplomacy”–is either grossly uninformed or delusional.

Islamic imperialists have no desire at all for peaceful coexistence with Israel. They want to annihilate the “Zionist Entity.” By the way, during the last 60 years, Israel has absorbed more than a million Sephardic Jews from Arab countries. The Arab nations, on the other hand, refuse to absorb two million Palestinians. It’s a sad irony that two million Palestinians are considered so important while at the same time the suffering inflicted upon 50 million Kurdish people by Muslim nations goes almost unnoticed, unremarked.

Muslims do not recognize the right to existence of either Israel or India. They simply consider them roadblocks to world conquest that need to be removed, no matter what it takes, no matter how long it takes. Universal Jihad is infinite, endless war against the infidel. It has been formally, blatantly declared. To the Muslim, Jewish Israel and Hindu India are nothing more than inferior infidel nation-states that must be torn down and brought under Islamic control.

Remember this: Kashmir was a Hindu land continuously for 5,000 years. That’s over twice as long as the time that has passed since the birth of Christ. Islam went there as an imperial force, subjugated the local people, and conquered them, both politically and demographically, after 5,000 years of Hindu peace and civilization. Hence, today the Kashmiri Hindus are refugees in their own land. They have been reduced to a minority.

It is not Kashmir alone. Now Muslims of India wants Mughalstan, the Land of Mugal empire. They want to build an Islamic state from Pakistan to Bangladesh that includes the entirety of north India.

Every year, we are paying Islamic tribute to Pakistan, Egypt, and Palestinians in hopes of maintaining a tenuous truce. We are not really giving them “aid.” It is nothing but Islamic tribute to keep them at bay.

It’s really too simple for anyone to try to complicate it: Islam wants the entire world to submit. India and Israel are simply two obstacles or roadblocks to that goal. If they can get Israel and India to disappear from the face of earth, Islamic Umma–community, or “nation” in the larger sense–would be one unified imperialism from Morocco to Indonesia. Then it would be Europe’s turn to be annihilated.

FP: How do we best win the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq in your opinion?

Kumar: It can’t be overstated or said too many times that these are merely the current fronts of open conflict in Universal Jihad. In fact, it plays into the purposes of Universal Jihadists for the Western world to be fixated on isolated actions in various geographical locations, and thereby never see the bigger picture.

Universal Jihad is an ideology, a doctrine, that is fixed and unchanging. Waging battles of force and military action alone– especially on Islam’s home turf–and continuing to send troops out as reaction to the latest flare-ups or hot-spots in Islam’s endless war will never succeed. Never.

That’s also why the idea of a “War on Terror” is absurd. Terrorism is nothing more than one of the many technique and tactics used to advance Islam’s political ideology. On this subject of terrorism, groups like the Taliban are a bunch of obedient foot soldiers. They are what Karl Marx called the “lumpen-proletariat.” Allow me to direct your attention to the fact that we never see Islamic Imams–religious leaders–blowing themselves up. If martyrdom is such a high holy act, as Islam’s leaders preach, why aren’t they the ones strapping on the explosives? It’s a curious case of “do as I say, not as I do.”

Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan form the Axis of Universal Jihad. Unless and until we address the leaders of this Axis of Jihad, and the militaristic ideology of world domination that is their chief export, there is no possibility for peace in the future for humanity.

The real power behind Universal Jihad, in all of its manifestations, lies with the Pakistani ISI–the intelligence services of Pakistan–along with the Pakistani military, the Pakistani feudal elite, and the Islamic theological leaders. As a nation-state, Pakistan exists for two reasons: its pathological hatred of India and Hindus, and its parasitic dependence on American aid. Their leaders’ battle cry is always “Islam in danger” when they want to stoke the fires of Jihad, and of course Muslims are commanded by the Quran to go forth immediately when called to fight by their Islamic leaders.

Make no mistake: you can only solve the problem of Afghanistan when you address the problem of Pakistan, because Afghanistan is a client state of Pakistan. And you can only solve the problem of Pakistan when you address the problem of Saudi Arabia, because Pakistan is a client state of Saudi Arabia.

The Pakistanis are being sponsored by the hedonistic rulers of Saudi Arabia. Saudi rulers are materialistic hedonists in their practice, but preach Wahabi Islamic fundamentalist doctrine to the world.

The bottom-line is this: The hedonist Saudi ruling elite form the epicenter for global terrorism, because it is they who fund all mosques and madrasas around the world–and that includes the United States.

They export oil and worldwide Islamic fundamentalist revolution.

That fundamentalist revolution is Universal Jihad, and its entire force comes solely from its ideology, an ideology that was born right in the deserts of Saudi Arabia. Therefore, the only real war, and the war that is winnable, is against the ideology that is the doctrine of Universal Jihad.

All three of these nations that make up the Axis of Jihad are ready for internal revolutions. We, the West, are not taking advantage of that situation.

In Iran, for example, a majority of the Iranian population is under 25 years old. They were born after the Iranian Islamic Revolution of 1979. All of those young men and women are ready to be liberated from the totalitarianism that prevails at the hands of the Ayatollahs. We must appeal to their reason and their own human desire for freedom, liberty, and the right to free will.

Similarly, the Saudi regime is ready to collapse because of its own corrupt system. It is beginning to come under assault from Islamic fundamentalists for its hedonistic life style. Instead of kowtowing to the Saudis, we should be shining a bright light on the rampant hypocrisy.

FP: What do we do then to confront Jihad effectively?

Kumar: To reach a lasting solution to Universal Jihad, and to all the violence and terror and misery it causes throughout the world, the goal of the Western world should be to demilitarize, secularize, and democratize the Axis of Jihad. Anything short of that goal is like putting a band-aid on leprosy. For starters, we should do the following things:

1. Stop all immigration from the Axis of Jihad nations.

2. Stop paying Islamic tribute–so-called “aid”–to Pakistan, Egypt and the Palestinians.

3. Support those moderate, secular, Muslims–there are many—against theological fundamentalists.

4. Build a United Front of Victims of Jihad. That is where Jew and Gentile, Saxon and Slav, Hindu and Buddhist, Norwegian and Nigerian, Catholic and Protestant, Evangelical and Orthodox, have common ground. All can unite to contain the extremist ideology, because all historically have been victims of Universal Jihad.

The United States and Israel have many allies and friends in this cause. All we have to do is look around.

Together, there are many ways we can fight the ideological war and win it with reason, and with appeal to the human quest for freedom. That is our strongest ally.

The first ideological hurdle to overcome is a clear recognition by our own leaders that the only real enemy is Universal Jihad and the three seats of its power: Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan. It is an existential crisis for all non-Muslim nations, and for all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world. This transcends all ethnic, cultural, religious, and political boundaries. Islamic imperialism draws no distinctions between “infidels.” Until we win this war, we are all targets for takeover.

FP: You mention immigration. Expand on your thoughts on demographics when it comes to Islam.

Kumar: Demographic conquest is the most permanent form of Islamic conquest. Before the expansionism of Islam, by force and infusion, Egypt, North Africa, and the southern coast of the Mediterranean were Christian. There was a Buddhist monastery in Alexandria, Egypt. Turkey was Buddhist and Christian. Persia–now Iran–was Zoroastrian. The Hindu culture covered an area of the world twice as large as it is now.

The fatal flaw of every one of these nations that has fallen before Islamic invasion has been to open its arms to Islam, only to be stabbed in the back.

Islam primarily is a political and military doctrine, dedicated to world conquest, that wears the cloak of religion. The religious cloak is the Trojan Horse it uses to infiltrate the cultures and nations and civilizations it seeks to destroy and replace with Islamic totalitarianism.

Liberals and progressives in those target nation-states become the water-carriers for Islam’s demographic tactics, demanding that immigrant Muslims be granted all the “rights” they need to kill off the host country and take over. The irony is that the liberals who tout the Islamic cause are the first victims when Sharia takes its grip around the throat of a nation. But this appeal to liberals for sympathy and support is a key part of Islam’s ideological war.

Unrestrained legal and illegal immigration is tearing apart the very fabric of Europe and the United States and Canada. To survive, the West must ban immigration from all Muslim nations where Sharia is the law of the land. The only exceptions should be apostates and refugees from Islam. We must pass laws to denaturalize and deport all those advocates of Sharia from the West. Europe is already becoming Eurabia, and in Europe multiculturalism means submitting to Islamic supremacy.

FP: Your perspective on Islam’s dualistic ethics?

Kumar: The Quran, the Islamic holy book, has two sets of ethics. One set of ethics is for believers, the other set of ethics for the Kaffirs–their name for infidels, non-Muslims. The Quran has no good news for the infidel.

In Islam ethics are based upon a simple formula: “good” is whatever advances the cause of Islam, and “evil” is whatever resists the cause of Islam.

In Islam, all Muslims are brothers who should be kind and honest to each other. But Allah hates the infidel; Allah plots against the infidel, so Muslims should, too. Over 60% of the Quran is devoted to the Kaffir, and every mention is negative, demeaning, insulting, or hateful. It teaches war in the name of peace, hate in the name of love.

“Ethics” in Islam is an ideology of double standards, internally warring dichotomies, and endless contradictions. Even its own Imams war among themselves on what is correct “interpretation.” That is why it can be fought with reason and overcome.

FP: Let’s finish up by talking some more about what can be done. Expand on the best way that free peoples who want to remain free can defend themselves against Sharia and Islamic Jihad. What is the wrong way to do it? What are the consequences?

Kumar: The wrong way to do it is for the liberal media and politicians to keep inhaling the opiate of Islamic propaganda about “peace, peace, peace, peace be upon you,” and blowing that toxic smoke all over the world. If we don’t shake them out of their narcoleptic slumber, their own children, or their children’s children–and ours as well–are going to be bowing in submission before the tyranny of Islamic domination and Sharia law on our own soil.

Here’s how the liberals and progressives can help: they should start an organization like the Peace Corps, called Free Americans for Islamic Rehabilitation–F.A.I.R.–that sends volunteers to all Islamic nations to demand tolerance and equal rights in those nations for all other religions, for women, for minorities, and for homosexuals. Now there would be true liberalism in action. We’ll see how far they get putting their money where their mouth is in an Islamic nation.

Meanwhile, those of us who are already awake have got to energetically build a coalition of free nations and people around the globe, regardless of race, creed, ethnicity, politics, or religion, and begin an information campaign that is more relentless and eternal than Universal Jihad. That sums up why I am running for Congress. I want to help build that coalition and help raise people’s awareness.

Our leaders have to come to grips with the fact that the seats of power of Universal Jihad are Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Pakistan. These are the command centers. They are openly declared enemies of every principle our nation was founded upon. We must treat them as such, or Universal Jihad will continue unabated around the world, flaring up endlessly as we pour more money and innocent blood down the drain.

We can win this war, and we can win it decisively, but we have got to recognize and name the true enemies of mankind and freedom, and take effective action in combating the ideology that drives them. Right now, our own State Department and government agencies are spending enormous amounts of dollars and energy defending the very ideology that wants to wipe them and our whole form of government from the face of the earth!

This is why I say repeatedly, as a central part of my campaign, and why I fully believe that war against Universal Jihadists can be won globally in less than five years, that it can be won for less than one billion dollars, and that can be won without any more loss of American or Western lives.

There are two great forces at work in this war. One is the totalitarian ideology of Islamic theocracy, which permits of no separation of church and state, no true freedom of thought, freedom of speech, or equal rights under the law. The other is our own Declaration of Independence and our Constitution, which proclaim and guarantee human freedom, sovereignty, dignity, and basic inalienable human rights.

These two ideologies are diametrically and irrevocably and irreconcilably opposed. It is a war of ideas. It is a war of philosophies. They are mutually exclusive. One of them is going to win over the other.

Which will it be?

Chechen rebel claims Moscow Metro blasts

A security camera image shows firefighters in Lubyanka station rushing to the scene after the explosion on Monday

Chechen rebel leader Doku Umarov has said his group was behind Monday's double suicide bombings on the Moscow Metro, which left 39 people dead.

In a video message posted on a Chechen rebel website, he said he had personally ordered the attacks.

He said they were carried out to avenge the killings of "poor Chechens" by Russian security forces in February and warned Russia to prepare for more.

The message came as Russia buried the first victims of Monday's attacks.

Russian investigators have said they believe two female suicide bombers were linked to militants in the North Caucasus.

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has called on the security forces to "scrape from the sewers" those responsible.

In a separate development, at least 12 people, including a top local police official, were killed by two suicide bombings in Russia's North Caucasus republic of Dagestan.

A car bomb was detonated at about 0830 (0430 GMT) outside the offices of the local interior ministry and the FSB security agency in the town of Kizlyar.

Another bomber then blew himself up 20 minutes later as a crowd gathered.

So far no-one has claimed responsibility for the Dagestan blasts.

Chilling message

It was not possible to confirm independently that the man in the video - posted on a rebel website - was Doku Umarov.

“ The war will come to your street ”

Doku Umarov Rebel leader

He said the Moscow attacks were an act of revenge for the killings of poor Chechen and Ingush civilians by the Russian security forces near the town of Arshty on 11 February.

He said the civilians were "massacred by Russian occupiers" as they were gathering wild garlic to feed their families.

The rebel, who styles himself as the Emir of the Caucasus Emirate, said attacks on Russian soil would continue.

"The war will come to your street... and you will feel it on your own skins," he warned Russian citizens in the video, which he said was recorded on Monday - just hours after the Metro attacks.

Earlier on Wednesday, Doku Umarov's spokesman had told Reuters that his militant group "did not carry out the attack in Moscow, and we don't know who did it".
