BOCA RATON — Wednesday morning, it became clear that the predicted wave of GOP victories in the mid-term elections was a fact, as West laid claim to the District 22 seat.
"I'm not going to Washington, D.C. to be a ruling class elitist or to be a career politician," West told the wildly cheering crowd. "I'm going there to fix the problems, and then I'm coming home."
As of 8:20 a.m., with 97 percent of precincts reporting, West was ahead with 54.3 percent of the votes. Klein trailed with 45.7 percent.
