AKI) - At least three people were killed and 22 wounded on Friday by a bomb blast at a Peshawar mosque in northwest Pakistan.
The bomb exploded as worshippers filed out of the mosque following Friday prayers, according to new reports.
“The target was people in the mosque and the purpose was to create a scare,” police official Mohammad Karim Khan was quoted as saying in a report.
Another police official was cited as saying that the attacker was probably disguised as a worshipper and planted the device as he left the mosque.
Separately, a bomb attack killed six Pakistani soldiers in a convoy travelling in Pakistan's northwestern Orakzai tribal region on Friday, security officials said.
