Arabia: Discovered RPGs raise fears of insurgents

Riyadh, 5 Oct. (AKI) - The Saudi Arabian coast guard found six rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) on a beach in the eastern part of the country creating fear that the weapons belong to Shia insurgents, according to a report by newspaper al-Quds al-Arabi.

According to the report, three RPGs were found a few days ago leading to the discovering of more weapons submerged under the water off of a beach in the city of Dammam.

Authorities fear that the weapons belong Shia militants amid recent fighting between Shias and Sunnis in nearby Kuwait and Bahrain and can be used to fire on oil refineries in the area, the report said.
