Dubai Marina's Address Hotel: The Briton claimed she was attacked in a toilet after passing out
This British woman did not understand - the rules in the Islamic world - if you raped then YOU are guilty of having sex outside of marriage! Over 75% of Pakistan women are in prison because of it and likely figures are similar across the Islamic world. If you are raped in an Islamic country - better to suck it up and get out of there! To prove the incident occurred in a Sharia court a woman would need no less that 4 witnesses - i.e. Muslim men - no non-Muslim or double that number of Muslim women!! But apparently the victim was a Muslim - under a western legal system there would have been no reason to arrest her. This should serve as a warning to all party goers over there!
There is some suggestion here that she would be treated more harshly because she is of Pakistani descent - doubt it !! One British girl who traveled there to work as a scuba diving instructor was arrested for being 'unaccompanied' in the presence of a man - her own boss! Even though it was shown - through a medical exam that she had not had intercourse - she was still thrown in jail for 3-6 months.
A British woman who claimed she was raped by a waiter in Dubai was arrested by police in the Arab state for having illegal sex with her fiancé.
The 23-year-old Londoner said she was was attacked after she passed out in a hotel lavatory.
The woman, a Muslim of Pakistani decent, told police she had been celebrating getting engaged to her boyfriend at the time.
But when she admitted drinking alcohol and sharing a hotel room with her 44-year-old fiancé, the couple were arrested.
They were charged with 'illegal drinking' outside licensed premises and having sex outside marriage.
Police ignored the rape allegation, confiscated the Britons' passport and threw them in jail.
The couple, who have not been named, have been bailed pending trial. They could face up to six years in prison.
The woman told detectives she had accepted her boyfriend’s marriage proposal during a three-day break in the emirate, but admitted drinking too much alcohol as they celebrated at Dubai Marina’s Address Hotel.
A waiter, believed to be Syrian, is then said to have followed her into the toilets and raped her while she was in a state of semi-consciousness.
After her fiancé found out about the attack, they contacted police, but they were questioned about breaking the Dubai's strict rules, which contain elements of Sharia law.
She was then made to give a blood test to prove she had been drinking, and was only given access to proper medical checks following an appeal from the British embassy, it is claimed.

Fireworks explode around the Burj Dubai, the world's tallest tower: The emirate has strict laws about drinking alcohol and sex outside marriage
A cellmate of the woman told The Sun: ‘She’s a British girl but a Muslim, so I think they were tougher on her because of that.
‘She was trying to report the rape but soon realised the policemen were more interested in how often she has sex with her boyfriend.’
Her attacker is believed to have denied rape, claiming she consented, but he has also been charged with ‘illegal sex’.
A spokesman for the Foreign Office told Mail Online: ‘We can confirm two British nationals were arrested in Dubai on January 1.
‘Our embassy in Dubai is providing consular assistance and we cannot confirm or release further details about the case’
An Address Hotel spokesman said: ‘The matter is being investigated by the authorities’.
Dubai’s strict rules about sexual intercourse and alcohol have led to several Britons being arrested in the past.
In July 2008, Michelle Palmer was convicted after being caught having drunken sex outsider marriage with fellow Briton Vince Acors.
They were given three-month suspended jail sentences.

They might built a tower to the moon, but that doesnt change the fact that their society is rotten to the core
We have to work to keep that repression over there - however fancy they make it look !!
