Holland unveils the 'Mecca of Calvin' or Calvinist Church Ka'bah Sculpture

The whole thing is of course insane - first of all - to commission artwork for the 500th birthday of John Calvin - founder of the Dutch Protestant Church - from a Muslim was in itself - foolhardy - to expect that a Muslim - could show sensitivity towards another religion - without violating his own - was perhaps a step towards cultural relativism to far. The man - who was commissioned to do a work honoring - a Christian - leader and possible Saint - built the church a Kaaba - which is of course - the main idol - at the centre of the Islamic religion - all Muslims face it to pray several times a day.

Does this strike you as similar?

To add insult to injury - and to further the charade - he gets dancers dressed in white to circle the Calvin Kaaba - a direct reflection of what takes place around the Kaaba in Mecca, Arabia.

Here is the Calvinist Kaaba before he whipped the black cover off to expose the glass cube.

Not surprising Muslims believe all those who don't practise Islam are stupid !!

Stupid I think though - in not being brave enough - to say - perhaps a Christian artist would have been better suited for this sensitive religious work.

Translation from Dutch

DORDRECHT - The Court in Dordrecht, behind the Augustinian Church, home since Friday a large mirror cube. A Calvin Ka'bah in the City? "You say it."

Yesterday afternoon, something to celebrate. The century-old houses on the Court reflect soft newageachtige [new age music] music. A group of predominantly white-clad people-professional dancers, as shown later, to indemnify the 4 meter high cube in the middle of the square around. Lap after lap after lap [around the cube] ... Gradually add themselves more interested in them. All they get a large white shawl, with the name of Aziz (Bekkaoui), the Moroccan-Dutch artist who "live performance" has invented. Two police officers keep an eye on things.

And that is perhaps not superfluous, says Abdel Nassiri, who introduces himself as spokesman of Bekkaoui. Nassiri: "This morning, a Molotov cocktail into the artwork found. Fortunately that is not going off - but fear you. "

Objections

The unveiling of Aziz 'artwork entitled "The Mecca of Calvin" was originally scheduled for June 12. That this took place only yesterday, was, according to the invitation of the Center for Visual Arts in Dordrecht, caused by "confusion about a license that eventually proved necessary to place the cube and objections to this installation. These concerns focus on associate the name of Calvin with the name of the main pilgrimage of Islam. Especially from orthodox religious circles is taken offense to the title of the performance and installation. "

Nassiri can all commotion "express some proposals," he says. "But we have said from the first moment that this work is intended not provocative. That people or explain as, yes ... "

However, some artwork, this title, at this location that has something provocative?

"Look, Dordrecht want on the map as a city of Calvinism. You can also say: as the center of Calvinism. So, as it also says, as the Mecca of Calvinism. So it is intended. As Paris is the Mecca of fashion. "

However, the Kaaba, which is pretty much the symbol of Islam.

"No, that's not the Kaaba. The prophet is a symbol of Islam, so if you can say. The Kaaba is not. In addition: there is only one Kaaba, which is in Mecca. Here is a Kaaba in, and I may. Another looks at a simple cube. Again, I understand the commotion is, Christians see this as the holy place of Christianity. However, it is a matter of interpretation. Art is something for everyone else. And then there is probably someone who did not agree. But fortunately that may in the Netherlands. "

With his "performance" at the Court Aziz has no religious statement to make, also stresses the Dordrecht Visual Arts Center. "Aziz would convey the idea that Calvinist values of origin typically are not exclusive to the Calvinism of our national culture, but with different outlooks and different cultures and nationalities are shared. The belief that as human beings must work hard, be dedicated and occasionally hard on yourself, is actually of all times and religions. "Nassiri:" Even devout Muslims can be very Calvinist. "

Religious tolerance

Meanwhile, the group circles-around-the-cube-border people have grown further. It is quarter past four, half past four. "If it takes a long time ..." sighs a radio reporter.

"This is something Aziz often does with live performances," explains to his spokesman. "Involving People, create unity. Each in its own pace. "

Ten about half past four. The music playing has become louder. Someone from the organization took the floor. It's about Calvin and his significance. "In terms of religious tolerance was not a forerunner John Calvin," it sounds. "It was a child of his time. But in many other respects he was a true innovator. "

Suddenly comes the black cloth - and the actual cube is visible. A cube of mirrors. "The whole way Mecca is now," said Nassiri down. "Now it is more a mirror. And inside, a tree. This symbolizes life, growth. "

"The performance is over." FNV president Agnes Jongerius shares, as a lasting memory, blue "mecca-of-Calvin" bracelets from. Nassiri: "Let's hope that he remains the next four weeks."[+]

Culture Clash: Islam on Japanese TV [Video]

Sudanese husband on Japanese TV

An episode of “Majotachi no 22ji” that aired earlier this week had a story about a Japanese single mother who married a Sudanese man:

The guy from Sudan was introduced to her via a friend and they married after dating for a year and a half. He was very kind at first, but their relationship soon began to worsen (eventually resulting in a divorce).

Instead of appreciating the flavor of each dish she put great effort into preparing, he followed Sudanese custom by mixing the food together. Apparently Sudanese culture expects married men to take care of their single male friends, so almost every night he would arrive home very late and bring a group of loud friends. To make matters worse, he expected his wife to stay up and make food for them.

When she angrily demanded that he stop bringing friends over late at night, he responded by beating her. The narrator does not describe this activity as a consequence of the husband’s Sudanese upbringing [such a conclusion could have been made about a country that practices female genital mutilation and arrests women who dare to wear trousers].

The end of the clip shows the 41-year-old single mother and her children are paraded before a studio audience. The primary purpose of the show was to demonstrate how young and stylish she appears, and viewers can see that she continues to achieve physical beauty despite the difficulties she has faced in her life.

Three guilty of plotting biggest ever airline bombing

[Abdullah_Ahmed__ta_1476642c.jpg]

In the recording made by Umar Islam, a convert formerly known as Brian Young, he promised "martyrdom operations upon martyrdom operations will keep on raining on these kuffar [non-believers].”

Evidence suggested they had also considered attacking the Houses of Parliament, nuclear power stations, oil refineries, gas pipelines, the National Grid, Canary Wharf and internet servers.

Ali asked him off camera about the “so-called innocent people, that may be killed in this blessed operation” and Islam told him: “Most of you are too busy, you know, watching Home and Away and Eastenders [TV], complaining about the World Cup [soccer], drinking your alcohol, to even care [about] anything.”

Asked if he had been brainwashed, he replied: “I would say that yes my brain has been washed in the clean and cleansing waters of Islam and the Koran and the Sunnah [the path of the Prophet].”

An al-Qaeda cell has been found guilty of planning a series of co-ordinated suicide bomb attacks against trans-Atlantic airliners in the world’s biggest terrorist plot.

Prosecutors decided that it was vital to put the three leaders – who were found guilty of conspiracy to murder last year - on trial again in order to prove the threat to air traffic which has resulted in a ban on liquids over 100ml on flights.

The proceedings have taken three years and cost an estimated £60m but today the three men were found guilty of conspiracy to murder by detonating explosive devices on trans-Atlantic aircraft at Woolwich Crown Court.

The jury found a fourth man, an Islamic convert called Umar Islam, 31, guilty of conspiracy to murder, but could not decide if he knew about the plan to blow up aircraft.

Three others, Ibrahim Savant, 28, Arafat Waheed Khan, 28, Waheed Zaman, 25, were acquitted of the airlines plot but the jury could not decide whether they were guilty of conspiracy to murder.

An eighth man, Donald Stewart-Whyte, 23, was acquitted for all charges.

The leaders of the cell manufactured bombs disguised in soft drinks bottles so they could be smuggled through customs at Heathrow, researched flight times to US cities and discussed “the ten most popular places what British people holiday.”

Six of the eight men, most of whom were British-born and university educated and three of whom were converts, had recorded fiery videos that blamed the west for the slaughter of Muslims and promised “floods of martyr operations” in return, “ripping amongst your people and scattering the people and your body parts.”

Security sources have called the investigation the “most significant since the Second World War” and one said: “It took everything we’ve got.”

Abdulla Ahmed Ali, 28, from Walthamstow, East London was described in court as the leader of the plot who was able to “identify in other Muslims a kindred spirit or vulnerability” while Assad Sarwar, 29, from High Wycombe, Bucks, was the bomb-maker and Tanvir Hussain, 28, the quartermaster, helping prepare the bombs.

The others were described as “footsoldiers” ready to respond when the time was right.
The plot was cracked by MI5 who had the men under surveillance and moved in to arrest Ali and Sarwar as they met in the car park of Waltham Forest Town Hall in East London in August 2006.

A computer memory stick was found in Ali’s pocket which highlighted seven flights from London Heathrow’s terminal three to six cities in the US and Canada, each carrying between 241 and 286 passengers and crew.

The flights all departed within 2 hours and 35 minutes to Chicago, Montreal, Toronto, San Fransisco, Washington and New York and police believe there would have been no chance of stopping the attacks once all the aircraft were in the air.

But they believe the men were considering an even larger attack after they were bugged discussing different terminals and as many as 18 suicide bombers, which could have led to 5,000 deaths in the air and as many again on the ground.

Police feared there could be a second wave of attacks after hearing Ali talk of “people coming the same time as us” and intercepting coded emails. Only 13 people have been charged with the conspiracy and police admit they would be “unwise” to suggest there were no more terrorists connected to the gang.

Ali and Islam had also discussed taking their children on the flights during a bugged conversation and Ali had a passport application form for his eight month old son.
Asked by Islam how long it would be before they launched their attacks, Ali told him: “A couple of weeks.”

In court the men claimed they were only planning to blow up Heathrow airport as part of a political “demonstration” against the Iraq war, with mock-suicide videos that they would post on the video-sharing website Youtube.

But Ali and Hussain were secretly filmed in a flat in Forest Gate, East London, drilling holes in the bottom of Lucozade and Oasis soft drink bottles in order to inject a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and the soft drink powder Tang that could be smuggled on board aircraft.

The liquid bombs were to be set off with detonators made from filling hollowed out batteries with the home made explosive HMTD which were inserted in disposable cameras and then assembled in the aircraft toilets.

A diary found when Ali was arrested revealed they planned to disguise their bombs using dirty magazines and condoms to persuade security staff they were not terrorists and to carry spare bottles to drink from.

Evidence suggested they had also considered attacking the Houses of Parliament, nuclear power stations, oil refineries, gas pipelines, the National Grid, Canary Wharf and internet servers.

Some of the men were bugged as they made suicide videos in the flat and two tapes were found during searches of Sarwar’s car and home.

In the recording made by Umar Islam, a convert formerly known as Brian Young, he promised "martyrdom operations upon martyrdom operations will keep on raining on these kuffar [non-believers].”

Ali asked him off camera about the “so-called innocent people, that may be killed in this blessed operation” and Islam told him: “Most of you are too busy, you know, watching Home and Away and Eastenders, complaining about the World Cup, drinking your alcohol, to even care anything.”

Asked if he had been brainwashed, he replied: “I would say that yes my brain has been washed in the clean and cleansing waters of Islam and the Koran and the Sunnah [the path of the Prophet].”

Airline bomb plot: reaction

Baroness Pauline Neville-Jones, former Joint Intelligence Committee

"It's very great reassurance that the Crown has now been able to get convictions on the second part of these crimes, that is to say has got a conviction on the intention to cause explosions on the aeroplanes themselves.

"And that's a very important part of what actually happened.

"I think one has to ask the question why the Crown didn't get that the first time around. But I am exceedingly pleased."

Lord Carlile, independent reviewer of terrorism laws

"This was a very serious plot. The prosecution in my view, showed great determination and good judgement in deciding to have this retrial. They could all too easily have said they had enough convictions on the previous occasions. But they were right to come to this conclusion that the defendants from previous trials had not been convicted of the essence of what was alleged.

"It's an important set of convictions demonstrating that there's a great risk from terrorism, albeit this case is now a little historic."

Alan Johnson, Home Secretary

"I am pleased that the jury has recognised that there was a plot to bomb transatlantic flights and that three people have been convicted of that plot."

"This case reaffirms that we face a real and serious threat from terrorism. This was a particularly complex and daring plot which would have led to a terrible attack resulting in major loss of life."

Deputy Assistant Commissioner John McDowall, head of the Met's Counter Terrorism Command and Senior National Co-ordinator Counter Terrorism

“If these terrorists had been successful, many people would have lost their lives. Many more would have died if they had chosen to detonate their bombs over land.

“They intended to cause carnage through a series of co-ordinated and deadly explosions and bring terror into the lives of people around the globe.

“Apart from massive loss of life, these attacks would have had enormous world-wide economic and political consequences.

“But their plans were thwarted by the police and security services before they could commit mass murder on an unimaginable scale.

“This has been a lengthy, resource-intensive and meticulous investigation, which has culminated in today’s guilty verdicts. I cannot thank enough all those involved in bringing these terrorists to justice."

Sue Hemming, head of the Crown Prosecution Service Counter Terrorism Division:

"These men wanted to bring down several aircraft in a short space of time, indiscriminately killing hundreds of innocent people - perhaps more if they'd succeeded in activating their devices while over cities.

"This was a calculated and sophisticated plot to create a terrorist event of global proportions and the jury concluded that Ali, Sarwar and Hussain knew what the target was."

Ahmadinejad rejects US ultimatum

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has rejected the United States deadline to start talks on his country's controversial nuclear programme by the end of September. He says, as far as he is concerned, discussions on the nuclear issue have finished.

He has repeated that Iran had an undeniable right to pursue its own atomic programme, adding that he is prepared to take part in a public discussion with US President Barack Obama. Mr Obama has offered to hold talks with Iran, but is threatening tougher sanctions if Iran fails to start negotiations by the end of September.

The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Mohamed el-Baradei, denies withholding important information about possible efforts by Iran to develop nuclear weapons. Mr el-Baradei said the allegations made notably by France were politically motivated and totally groundless.

Birmingham’s top Muslim leader urged his followers to “vent their feelings” against anti-Islamic protesters during a weekend rally that ended in violence and dozens of arrests, The Times can reveal.

Muslims were encouraged by the Birmingham Central Mosque to counter-demonstrate during Saturday’s protest in the city, which was organised by the right-wing English Defence League (EDL). It is understood that Muslims were encouraged to confront the protest against the advice given by the West Midlands Police to community leaders to stop their followers from attending.

Mohammad Naseem, Birmingham Central Mosque’s chairman, considered to be the most senior community leader in the West Midlands region, told The Times yesterday that he encouraged members of his congregation to attend the rally, at which about 80 people were arrested, to express the Islamic community’s solidarity.

The anti-racist guys just don't get it!! And so those with a radical Islamic agenda simply tag along!!

Dr Naseem’s advice came less than a month after Muslims of predominantly Asian heritage clashed with the EDL in Birmingham at another antiIslamic rally that led to 35 arrests.

He said the presence of Muslims at the weekend protest was an important stand against anti-Islamic fascists. “I think it shows that the community has got a sense of cohesion,” he added.

The police used their batons to subdue the violent crowd of more than 200 people, predominantly aged between 16 and 36, who threw bottles at each other and exchanged punches.

They could not stop the clash between the two groups despite initially containing them to two separate locations in the city. It is believed that half of those arrested were counter-protesters.

The Times understands that the West Midlands police received assurances from Muslim leaders during numerous meetings in the past two weeks that their community members would be discouraged from attending the protest, which the EDL had announced at the August 8 demonstration in Birmingham.

We should all be asking where are the churches in the Islamic world ~

“The police had a lot of engagement with mosques, youth workers and social workers, and a lot of work went on to encourage people to stay away and not attend,” police sources said. “But it is obviously difficult to stop kids going and their presence alone would be deemed provocative.”

Asked if it would have been a better idea to encourage Muslims not to attend the rally at all, Dr Naseem said: “The thing is, that is their right, I cannot say, ‘You don’t have this right’.”

But Dr Naseem emphasised that his followers were told not to attend the rally alone but to form allegiances with other counter-demonstrators such as socialist groups and members of other religious denominations.

He also said that Muslims were told to attend only after he was assured by police that protesters and counter-protesters would congregate at different locations.

He said: “If it was kept as originally intended, then everybody would have had a chance to give vent to their feelings without coming into contact with each other. And that I will take up with the police.”

West Midlands police stand accused of failing to manage the protest despite obtaining a Section 14 authorisation from the Home Office under the Public Order Act to arrest anyone who breached the conditions of the demonstration.

The order enabled the police to nominate the protest’s location, the maximum number of activists and the time length of the event.

But what was planned as a two-hour “stationary protest”, which could not be legally banned by the Birmingham City Council or the police, turned into a scene of chaos and disorder after the rival groups clashed.

Protesters were told to stay at Lancaster Circus while the rival rally was organised to take place at Old Square.

It is understood that small pockets made up of 20 or so protesters and counter-demonstrators began to form away from allocated areas. It wasn’t long before the rivals began feuding and police began making arrests.

Birmingham City Council last night praised the police for their “successful” management of the event.

“Birmingham City Council fully endorses [the] action taken by the West Midlands Police on Saturday and will continue to work in partnership with the police, retailers and other partners to ensure the safety of Birmingham’s residents and visitors, and continue to support the retail economy,” a spokeswoman said.

But others, including Labour MP Khalid Mahmood, were not so complimentary and accused the police of failing to prevent the clash. “Police have had four weeks to plan for this but they have failed innocent members of the public in Birmingham city centre,” Mr Mahmood said.

“It has been a complete mess in terms of policing. The force needs to look at things at the highest level.

Islamic search engine ImHalal filters out potentially sinful material

The filter works by examining the user’s search terms and the websites that come up, trawling for a “danger list” of words that may indicate forbidden fruit. On the site, sex-related terms such as “gay”, “lesbian” or simply “sexy” merit a haram level of three. But “beer” and “pork” only merit one point, while “drugs” earns two.

We could all be forgiven for not completely understanding what is 'sinful' in Islam - in Egypt to build a church is sinful and like that of building a barn for pigs and dogs. In Iran - rape of prisoners is allowed - not sinful in that case. Then there is Jihad - of course which - those freedom fighters of Islam - kill and maim - mostly other Muslims - out shopping or on their daily rounds. Then the Koran uses such words as pig to describe - the Jews and Christians - so that word can't be completely filtered out. Then there is the relations with small children - which westerners call pedophilia - which Muslims find perfectly acceptable. Equal rights and freedom of expression are also terms that might find their way to be banned - as sinful on such an Islamic search engine. And they might find that they get individual requests from countries like Turkey - who might feel - that banning terms such as genocide and Armenian quite useful.

Muslims will be able to surf the internet without the fear of accidentally encountering sinful material after a Dutch company launched the world’s first Islamic search engine.

The ImHalal service works like any other search facility until potentially illicit words are entered, when it rates the search from one to three on its risk of generating “haram” or forbidden material.

Reza Sardeha, founder of AZS Media Group which runs the search engine, said: “The idea grew up when some friends of mine complained that when they searched on Google or Yahoo once in a while they bumped into sexually explicit content.”

About 100,000 separate users have accessed the site since its launch on Wednesday, but this is small fry compared with Mr Sardeha’s ultimate ambition — to become the standard homepage for the world’s online Muslims, who number at least 100 million.

Seven months in development, the search is available in 15 languages including Arabic, Chinese, Farsi and Turkish, as well as English. The company expects its largest audience to develop in the Middle East.

When a search rates one or two on the haram scale, the user can still decide to take the risk and click through to the results. But a three-rated search yields no results, only the message: “Oops! Your search inquiry has a Haram level of 3 out of 3! I would like to advise you to change your search terms and try again.”

Mr Sardeha said: “Before we started this, we got the feeling that a lot of people in the Middle East, a lot of Muslims, really avoided the internet and prevented their children from accessing the internet because they were afraid their children might come into contact with sexually explicit material.”

There is no restriction, however, on those interested in “dating” or “wrestling”, nor more abstract concepts generally held to be forbidden in Islam, such as “mortgages”, “suicide” or “magic”. “Hot pants” are also judged to be halal — although Mr Sardeha admits the mechanism needs fine-tuning.

“We are a social company — we have a feedback button and every two minutes someone gets in touch,” he said.. “Someone already pointed out the problem with ‘bikini’.”

AZS has developed the site in consultation with Islamic scholars, but says it will not be entering into theological disputes over the possible sinfulness of Facebook or rock music. Rather, it is aimed at “the moderate Muslim”.

It hopes soon to expand into Islamic widgets such as programmes to generate Koran quotes and prayer times, in which there is already a competitive online trade.

Days after launching, the search engine's founders are engaged in a fierce online debate with bloggers who claim it represents a form of censorship.

“It’s the people’s choice — anyone who actually wants explicit content can easily choose another search engine,” Mr Sardeha said.

He admits that to compile the haram list, he and his colleagues had to spend a long time collating illicit internet content. “What can you do?” he says. “That’s a fact of life.”

Rape in Mullahs’ Prisons: Islam's Occupation of Persia

[entrance+gate+to+Shaw+Imam+Mosque+in+Isfahan,+Iran.jpg]

Recently a leading Iranian cleric stated that Islam allows for the rape of prisoners - and that it was proper to 'wash' first !!

Since the inception of the Islamic regime in Iran in 1979, rapes of political prisoners have increasingly been committed, although rarely reported. Many courageous victims have recently revealed their subjection to rapes. Surprisingly, however, after the controversial June 2009 election, the losing candidate Mehdi Karrubi revealed that both male and female, detained during the post-election protests, have been systematically subjected to vicious rapes.

After the conquest of ancient Persia by the Arab Muslims in 644, tens of thousands, probably, millions of Iranian female were raped, enslaved, and transported away as war-booty to be sold in slave-markets of Arab-Islamic territories. The Persian word 'Tajovoz' does not only mean 'rape' by which a man seized or stole a wife, but also means destruction and occupation of one’s environment by invaders. In a belief system that a passive nine-year-old girl can be raped by her ‘husband’, rape, as an extension of such a patriarchal societal control over females, was introduced by the Arab Muslims as the most hideous, shameful, and submissive element in the culture of occupied Iran. Since the occupation by Arab Muslims, Iranian women, who once equated with their male compatriots, have been since viewed as male-possessions, first of their fathers, then of their husbands. In case of rape in Islamised Persia, they were subjected to blame and shame more than their rapists.

Rape of Female Prisoners
Shortly after the 1979 revolution, many intellectuals, political activists, and sympathisers of the leftist opposition were arrested, and many of them were summarily executed. Virgin prisoners were generally raped before being executed. The reason is that according to the Islamic regime’s interpretation of Islamic laws, killing of a virgin woman is prohibited, because a virgin’s soul goes to Heaven, not to Hell, after death. To solve the dilemma, the night before the execution, the virgin is married by one of the guards, and the marriage is consummated overnight, before carrying out the execution. Apart from such rape, the interrogators of the Mullah regime routinely use rape as a tool of torture to obtain information, confession, or, simply, to humiliate the prisoner.

Rape of Male prisoners
The rape of a male victim typically consists of forced penetration of the anus by a penis or other object as has been reported by some Iranian rape-victims. Because of traditional self-censor, male-rape has until recently remained unreported in Iran. It is believed that a man in a patriarchal culture should be masculine, strong and able to protect himself. Therefore, nothing can be worse, more shameful, for a proud man than being forcibly raped. Young men, who have survived the post-election rapes, are now suffering from rigorous psychological injuries. Rape of male prisoners in the Mullahs’ jails has caused serious damage to inner organs of the victims and depression to them. Since male victims feel shame to identify themselves, they avoid medical treatment unless the victim is seriously injured.

It is believed that religious permission of rape, including male-rape, of ‘opponents of the Islamic regime’ has been recently given by Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi, the monitor and spiritual guru of president Ahmadinejad. Islamic authorities usually deny that rape is being committed in their prisons, fearing strong reaction from the public, both inside and outside.

Zahra Bani Yaghoub, Azar Al Cana’an, and Roya Toloui are among the female prisoners, who were raped and murdered in past years under the same Islamic regime. Additionally, at least two recent teen female victims of the post-election oppression in Iran, Taraneh Mousavi and Saeedeh Pour Agha’i, were documented by the media as being burnt in an attempt to cover up the hideous crime.

To shed light on presumed Mesbakh Yazdi’s permission of rape, it is believed that in numerous offensive raids, called ‘Ghazawat’, early Muslims, under the Prophet, attacked ‘infidel’ tribes; they killed men, robbed their properties, and took whichever females they wanted, raped them, and then brought them to their tribe as their slave-possession. Tolerance of such brutalities in Islam may not be universally believed by Muslims and might be regarded as myth. However, these are the mindsets of the brutal Islamic regime that rules Iran and commits such horrendous crimes.

In an ultimate psychological analysis of rape, rapists seem to come from a subculture of violence, whose values may be different from those of the mainstream. A rapist is often a poorly educated man from the lower socioeconomic strata, who had criminal records. Therefore such a man may be demonstrating his toughness and masculinity in a more violent and antisocial manner, but in the case of a rapist of the Mullahs’ prisons, this is not the dominant factor.

Rapists of the Mullahs' prisons are not necessarily the psychopathic and antisocial torturers, but most likely 'pious' Muslims, married men, and even can be kind fathers. They just follow the 'divine' guidance of the Islamic regime, and do not consider those rapes as crimes, and do not feel remorse after the assault. These sexual 'offenders' are not accountable for their sexual assaults, because rape is allowed or tolerated by Islamic clerics of the regime.

Rape in the Mullahs’ prisons is not an individual decision of an interrogator, as one may commonly believe; it is a systematic process based on a belief system, and for promoting a political agenda. In the Mullahs’ prisons, rapes are often planned. The primary motive for rape is not sexual. They regard and believe in rape as a routine duty, due to its prescription by Islamic clerics of high stature like Ayatollah Mesbakh Yazdi, and its acceptance by the entire Mullah regime. With that in mind, their act of rape is not merely a question of psycho-criminality, but a justified crime.

Hindu Kush means Hindu Slaughter: Islam's Brutal Invasion of Afghanistan and Northern India

That Islam was ever peaceful and today that it has simply been hijacked by a few radicals - is one of the greatest distortions of our time.

A few videos have been dropped in - which tell more of India's story of Islamic conquest and genocidal slaughter - of more than 80 million - but doesn't tell you much about the Islamic conquest in Afghanistan and what is now the Pakistan border region - as this article attempts to do.

By Shrinandan Vyas

All the Encyclopedias and National Geographic agree that Hindu Kush region is a place of Hindu genocide (similar to Dakau and Auschwitz). All the references are given. Please feel free to verify them.
ABSTRACT

All Standard reference books agree that the name 'Hindu Kush' of the mountain range in Eastern Afganistan means 'Hindu Slaughter' or 'Hindu Killer'. History also reveals that until 1000 A.D. the area of Hindu Kush was a full part of Hindu cradle. More likely, the mountain range was deliberately named as 'Hindu Slaughter' by the Moslem conquerors, as a lesson to the future generations of Indians. However Indians in general, and Hindus in particular are completely oblivious to this tragic genocide. This article also looks into the reasons behind this ignorance.

INTRODUCTION

The Hindu Kush is a mountain system nearly 1000 miles long and 200 miles wide, running northeast to southwest, and dividing the Amu Darya River Valley and Indus River Valley. It stretches from the Pamir Plateau near Gilgit, to Iran. The Hindu Kush ranges mainly run thru Afganistan and Pakistan. It has over two dozen summits of more than 23,000 ft in height. Below the snowy peaks the mountains of Hindu Kush appear bare, stony and poor in vegetation. Historically, the passes across the Hindu Kush have been of great military significance, providing access to the northern plains of India. The Khyber Pass constitutes an important strategic gateway and offers a comparatively easy route to the plains of Punjab. Most foreign invaders, starting from Alexander the Great in 327 BC, to Timur Lane in 1398 AD, and from Mahmud of Ghazni, in 1001 AD, to Nader Shah in 1739 AD attacked Hindustan via the Khyber Pass and other passes in the Hindu Kush (1,2,3). The Greek chroniclers of Alexander the Great called Hindu Kush as Parapamisos or Paropanisos (4). The Hindu name of the Hindu Kush mountains was 'Paariyaatra Parvat'(5).

EARLY HISTORY OF HINDU KUSH REGION (UP TO 1000 AD)

History of Hindu Kush and Punjab shows that two major kingdoms of Gandhaar & Vaahic Pradesh (Balkh of Bactria) had their borders extending far beyond the Hindu Kush. Legend has it that the kingdom of Gandhaar was established by Taksha, grandson of Bharat of Ayodhya (6). Gandhaar's borders extended from Takshashila to Tashkent (corruption of 'Taksha Khand') in the present day Uzbekistan. In the later period, Mahabharat relates Gaandhaari as a princess of Gandhaar and her brother, Shakuni as a prince and later as Gandhaar's ruler.

In the well documented history, Emperor Chandragupt Maurya took charge of Vaahic Pradesh around 325 BC and then took over Magadh. Emperor Ashok's stone tablets with inscriptions in Greek and Aramaic are still found at Qandahar (corruption of Gandhaar?) and Laghman in eastern Afganistan(3). One such stone tablet, is shown in the PBS TV series 'Legacy with Mark Woods' in episode 3 titled 'India: The Spiritual Empire'. After the fall of Mauryan empire, Gandhaar was ruled by Greeks. However some of these Greek rulers had converted to Buddhism, such as Menander, known to Indian historians as Milinda, while some other Greeks became followers of Vishnav sects (Hinduism)(7). Recent excavations in Bactria have revealed a golden hoard which has among other things a figurine of a Greek goddess with a Hindu mark on its forehead (Bindi) showing the confluence of Hindu-Greek art (8). Later Shaka and KushaaN ruled Gandhaar and Vaahic Pradesh. KushaaN emperor Kanishka's empire stretched from Mathura to the Aral Sea (beyond the present day Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Krygzystan)(9).

Kanishaka was a Buddhist and under KushaaN influence Buddhism flourished in Gandhaar. Two giant sandstone Buddhas carved into the cliffs of Bamian (west of Kabul) date from the Kushan period. The larger Buddha (although defaced in later centuries by Moslem invaders) is about 175 ft tall (10,11). The Kushan empire declined by 450 AD. The Chinese traveller Hsuan-Tsang (Xuan-zang) travelled thru the region in 7 th century AD and visited many Buddhist religious centers (3) including Hadda, Ghazni, Qonduz, Bamian (3,10,11), Shotorak and Bagram. From the 5 th thru 9 th cenury AD Persian Sasanians and Hepthalites ruled Gandhaar. During their rule Gandhaar region was again influenced by Hinduism. The Hindu kings (Shahiya) were concentrated in the Kabul and Ghazni areas. The last Hindu Shahiya king of Kabul, Bhimapal was killed in 1026 AD. The heroic efforts of the Hindu Shahiya Kings to defend the northwestern gates of India against the invaders are described by even al-Biruni, the court historian of Mahmud of Ghazni (12). Some excavated sites of the period include a major Hindu Shahiya temple north of Kabul and a chapel that contains both Buddhist and Hindu images, indicating that there was a mingling of two religions (3).

Islamic invasions on Afganistan started in 642 AD, but over the next several centuries their effect was marginal and lasted only a short time after each raid. Cities surrendered only to rise in revolt and the hastily converted returned to their old religion (Hinduism or Buddhism) once the Moslem armies had passed (3).

THUS TILL THE YEAR 1000 AD AFGANISTAN WAS A FULL PART OF HINDU CRADLE.

HINDU KUSH AND THE HINDU GENOCIDE

Now Afganistan is a Moslem country. Logically, this means either one or more of the following must have happened:

    a) original residents of Hindu Kush converted to Islam, or
    b) they were slaughtered and the conquerors took over, or
    c) they were driven out.

Encyclopedia Britannica (3) already informs us above about the resistance to conversion and frequent revolt against to the Moslem conqueror's rule from 8 th thru 11 th Century AD. The name 'Hindu Kush' itself tells us about the fate of the original residents of Gandhaar and Vaahic Pradesh during the later period of Moslem conquests, because HINDU KUSH in Persian MEANS HINDU SLAUGHTER (13) (as per Koenraad Elst in his book 'Ayodhya and After'). Let us look into what other standard references say about Hindu Kush.

Persian-English dictionary (14) indicates that the word 'Kush' is derived from the verb Kushtar - to slaughter or carnage. Kush is probably also related to the verb Koshtan meaning to kill. In Urdu, the word Khud-kushi means act of killing oneself (khud - self, Kushi- act of killing). Encyclopedia Americana comments on the Hindu Kush as follows: The name Hindu Kush means literally 'Kills the Hindu', a reminder of the days when (Hindu) SLAVES from Indian subcontinent died in harsh Afgan mountains while being transported to Moslem courts of Central Asia (15). The National Geographic Article 'West of Khyber Pass' informs that 'Generations of raiders brought captive Hindus past these peaks of perpetual snow. Such bitter journeys gave the range its name Hindu Kush - "Killer of Hindus"'(10). The World Book Encyclopedia informs that the name Kush, .. means Death ..(16). While Encyclopedia Britannica says 'The name Hindu Kush first appears in 1333 AD in the writings of Ibn Battutah, the medieval Berber traveller, who said the name meant 'Hindu Killer', a meaning still given by Afgan mountain dwellers who are traditional enemies of Indian plainsmen (i.e. Hindus)(2). However, later the Encyclopedia Britannica gives a negationist twist by adding that 'more likely the name is a corruption of Hindu-Koh meaning Hindu mountains'. This is unlikely, since the term Koh is used in its proper, uncorrupted form for the western portion of Hindu Kush, viz. Koh-i-Baba, for the region Swat Kohistan, and in the names of the three peaks of this range, viz. Koh-i-Langer, Koh-i-Bandakor, and Koh-i-Mondi. Thus to say that corruption of term Koh to Kush occurred only in case of Hindu Kush is merely an effort to fit in a deviant observation to a theory already proposed. In science, a theory is rejected if it does not agree with the observations, and not the other way around. Hence the latter negationist statement in the Encyclopedia Britannica must be rejected.

IT IS SIGNIFICANT THAT ONE OF THE FEW PLACE NAMES ON EARTH THAT REMINDS US NOT OF THE VICTORY OF THE WINNERS BUT RATHER THE SLAUGHTER OF THE LOSERS, CONCERNS A GENOCIDE OF HINDUS BY THE MOSLEMS (13).

Unlike the Jewish holocaust, the exact toll of the Hindu genocide suggested by the name Hindu Kush is not available. However the number is easily likely to be in millions. Few known historical figures can be used to justify this estimate. Encyclopedia Britannica informs that in December 1398 AD, Timur Lane ordered the execution of at least 50,000 captives before the battle for Delhi, .. and after the battle those inhabitants (of Delhi) not killed were removed (as slaves) (17), while other reference says that the number of captives butchered by Timur Lane's army was about 100,000 (18). Later on Encyclopedia Britannica mentions that the (secular?) Mughal emperor Akbar 'ordered the massacre of about 30,000 (captured) Rajput Hindus on February 24, 1568 AD, after the battle for Chitod' (19). Another reference indicates that this massacre of 30,000 Hindu peasants at Chitod is recorded by Abul Fazl, Akbar's court historian himself (20). These two 'one day' massacres are sufficient to provide a reference point for estimating the scale of Hindu genocide. The Afgan historian Khondamir records that during one of the many repeated invasions on the city of Herat in western Afganistan, 1,500,000 residents perished (11).

Since some of the Moslem conquerors took Indian plainsmen as slaves, a question comes: whatever happened to this slave population? The startling answer comes from New York Times (May-June 1993 issues). The Gypsies are wandering peoples in Europe. They have been persecuted in almost every country. Nazis killed 300,000 gypsies in the gas chambers. These Gypsies have been wandering around Central Asia and Europe since around the 12 th Century AD. Until now their country of origin could not be identified. Also their Language has had very little in common with the other European languages. Recent studies however show that their language is similar to Punjabi and to a lesser degree to Sanskrit. Thus the Gypsies most likely originated from the greater Punjab. The time frame of Gypsy wanderings also coincides early Islamic conquests hence most likely their ancestors were driven out of their homes in Punjab and taken as slaves over the Hindu Kush.

The theory of Gypsie origins in India was first proposed over two centuries ago. It is only recently theta linguistic and other proofs have been verified. Even the Gypsie leadership now accepts India as the country of their origin.

Thus it is evident that the mountain range was named as Hindu Kush as a reminder to the future Hindu generations of the slaughter and slavery of Hindus during the Moslem conquests.

DELIBERATE IGNORANCE ABOUT HINDU KUSH

If the name Hindu Kush relates such a horrible genocide of Hindus, why are Hindus ignorant about it? and why the Government of India does not teach them about Hindu Kush? The history and geography curriculums in Indian Schools barely even mention Hindu Kush. The horrors of the Jewish holocaust are taught not only in schools in Israel and USA, but also in Germany. Because both Germany and Israel consider the Jewish holocaust a 'dark chapter' in the history. The Indian Government instead of giving details of this 'dark chapter' in Indian history is busy in whitewash of Moslem atrocities and the Hindu holocaust. In 1982, the National Council of Educational Research and Training issued a directive for the rewriting of school texts. Among other things it stipulated that: 'Characterization of the medieval period as a time of conflict between Hindus and Moslems is forbidden'. Thus denial of history or Negationism has become India's official 'educational' policy (21).

Often the official governmental historians brush aside questions such as those that Hindu Kush raises. They argue that the British version is the product of their 'divide and rule' policy' hence their version is not necessarily true. However it must be remembered that the earliest reference of the name Hindu Kush and its literal meaning 'Hindu Killer' comes from Ibn Battutah in 1333 AD, and at that time British were nowhere on the Indian scene. Secondly, if the name indeed was a misnomer then the Afgans should have protested against such a barbaric name and the last 660 plus years should have been adequate for a change of name to a more 'civil' name. There has been no effort for such a change of name by the Afgans. On the contrary, when the Islamic fundamentalist regime of the Mujahadeens came to power in 1992, tens of thousands of Hindus and Sikhs from Kabul, became refugees, and had to pay steep ransom to enter into Pakistan without a visa.

In the last 46 years the Indian Government also has not even once demanded that the Afgan Government change such an insulting and barbaric name. But in July 1993, the Government of India asked the visiting Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra to change its name because the word Jerusalem in its name is offensive to Moslem Fundamentalists.

CONCLUSION

It is evident that Hindus from ancient India's (Hindustan's) border states such as Gandhaar and Vaahic Pradesh were massacred or taken as slaves by the Moslem invaders who named the region as Hindu Kush (or Hindu Slaughter,or Hindu Killer) to teach a lesson to the future Hindu generations of India. Unfortunately Hindus are not aware of this tragic history. The Indian government does not want the true history of Hindu Moslem conflicts during the medieval ages to be taught in schools. This policy of negationism is the cause behind the ignorance of Hindus about the Hindu Kush and the Hindu genocide.

COMMENTS & FUTURE WORK

Although in this article Hindu Kush has been referred to as Hindu slaughter, it is quite possible that it was really a Hindu and Buddhist slaughter. Since prior to Moslem invasions influence of Buddhism in Gandhaar and Vaahic Pradesh was considerable. Also as the huge 175 ft stone Buddhas of Bamian [Bamyan] show, Buddhists were idol worshipers par excellence. Hence for Moslem invaders the Buddhists idol worshipers were equally deserving of punishment. It is also likely that Buddhism was considered an integral part of the Hindu pantheon and hence was not identified separately.

This article barely scratches the surface of the Hindu genocide, the true depth of which is as yet unknown. Readers are encouraged to find out the truth for themselves . Only when many readers search for the truth, the real magnitude of the Hindu genocide will be discovered.

[I] must say, this speech was hard to stomach. So much pandering, so many historical inaccuracies, so many half-truths, distortions and outright lies. One could write a book on the flaws of this shameful excuse for a speech, but for now I'm analyzing the most glaring inaccuracies in the first ten minutes.

Does attacking Geert Wilders on his racial heritage - really make sense?

[wilders650.jpg]

Although Wilders continues to say - I am no racist - though I don't like Islam - and as a free person - in a free society - I have the right not to. I am not against Muslims - but I am against the Islam and all attempts to Islamize my country.

Reasonable - right?

Not in the Islamic world - there to say anything but - I believe that Islam is the greatest religion of all times - the Prohpet a shining example of human perfection - and that the world should be brought underneath Islam - is a crime punishable with imprisonment or even death.

But when Muslims come to the West - they find freedoms respected over religious laws - and that the individual has the right to freely choice - over decisions of the group. But in the lands of rights and freedoms - where many Muslims find prosperity - they long for - what Westerners term - repression - they yearn for those same old laws - which (without oil) keep their countries - operating well under their potential. Filled with fears and old superstitions - such as the belief that the west is unclean - they strive to impose their old religious laws (that once kept them entrapped) on the countrymen in their new homes.

Wilders and others don't agree. But to object comes with a price - that of being called a racist and an extremist - first by Muslims - who dream of the day their religious laws will replace EU ones - and then by non-Muslims - out to protect Muslims'
feelings (or rather sentiments.) And the protection of Muslims feelings - is the hub on which - Muslims have placed their best hopes - of imposing Islam's laws on western society - they simply say - it offends me - and pretty soon there will be a scurry of activity out to buffer them - while they simply lay on more Islamic demands - all protected by - the respect for their feelings and the illusive race.

Race is one of the easiest - obstacles to keep critics from going after Islam - Islam being a religion - an ideology - a political movement - gains special protection because most of its adherents are non-White. If you do like Wilders - dared to - and point to the Koran verse -
Kill the non-believer - then YOU are a racist ! If you point to a Middle East broadcast - readily available on MemriTV.org - that shows a young Egyptian girl of 3 or 4yrs saying that Jews are apes and pigs - and being praised for it by a studio audience - then YOU are the racist.

Because - Islam's adherents are mostly non-Whites - any attack on their beliefs - is deemed racist. The trouble is - as Muslims continue to push for everybody to follow THEIR beliefs - those who object are growing - and the use of race - to protect Muslim feelings - while they continue to try and impose Islam on others - is like a single rope erected to hold off a large crowd. Expect that the race barrier will be broken down soon.

But this new attack is not about race - so much as an attempt to attack Wilders with his race - or mixed Indonesian heritage. Its saying remember how you of mixed Indonesian heritage felt when you came to live in Holland (before Wilders was born) - aren't you doing the same to others. In fact they are saying - his mixed heritage on his mother's side - makes him über-Dutch and so prone to be anti-Islamic. Almost like - remember your place - and stop all this talk of Islam - truth has nothing to do with it - image is all - the way we are viewed in the world is more important than the reality we face.

I think Winston Churchill's peers - thought something similar - that he was too extreme - because he didn't fall for Hitler's BS - as Chamberlain so readily did - and believed they could handle the whole thing diplomatically and with the poise and grace of a ballet dancer. Not surprising Winston Churchill and Wilders have similar views on Islam - yet no one would dream of calling Churchill a racist - for making an observations in his opinion - about the trouble with Islam.

It is simple - to respect all Muslim sensitivities - is to live in an Islamic state - it is to live by Islamic laws - and this is our choice - racial heritage has little or nothing to do with it.

The rumour had been circulating for years: Geert Wilders is an 'Indo' (an Indonesian-European, an ethnic mix that originated when the Dutch colonised Indonesia).

In June a genealogist said he had found several Indonesian ancestors of the populist Dutch politician known for his rabid anti-immigrant and anti-Islam ideas. Now anthropologist Lizzy van Leeuwen describes how his roots can be seen as the driving force behind his outspoken views.

In an article in the left-wing weekly De Groene Amsterdammer Van Leeuwen asks: "Is it possible that the post-colonial and family history have made Wilders what he and his politics are today?" The article is an intellectual attempt to analyse what drives Wilders to say that "all immigration from Islamic countries should be halted" and that "all fundamental problems in the Netherlands are related to immigration". The conclusion reached by Van Leeuwen is that these statements - plus the fact that he dies his hair peroxide blond - are indeed related to his genealogical link to the largest Islamic country.

Geert Wilders' increasing popularity made his Party for Freedom the second largest Dutch party in European parliament in June. Known for his anti-establishment and anti-immigration politics, Wilders has been calling himself a 'Dutch freedom fighter'. But given that his mother's roots lay outside of the Netherlands, Van Leeuwen says a sense of 'displacedness' is the recurring, underlying motive in his statements.

The 6-page article reveals that Wilders' grandmother, Johanna Ording-Meijer, came from an old Jewish-Indonesian family and that Wilders lied about this in his 2008 biography. However, Van Leeuwen, an expert on the position of Indo-Dutch people in the post-colonial age, goes beyond the notion that a politician known for judging others on their ethnic roots can himself be traced to foreign ancestors.

Van Leeuwen went into the national archives to find the sad story of Wilders' grandfather on his mother's side. Johan Ording was a regional financial administrator in the Dutch colony who suffered several bankruptcies and was fired while on leave in the Netherlands in 1934. He was reduced to begging when the government refused to give him a pension, but later made it to prison director. Van Leeuwen suggests that Wilders is out to avenge the injustice done to his grandfather.

But more than anything, he was defined by his Indo-roots, she says. Indonesia was a Dutch colony until 1949 and many mixed-race people moved to the Netherlands after the Indonesian independence. Van Leeuwen describes how these people were put in the same 'cultural minority' box with labour immigrants from Turkey and Morocco, whom they felt no connection to at all. More so, they had always felt very patriotic about the Netherlands and harboured strong sentiments against Islam, the dominant religion in their motherland.

Van Leeuwen explains how this group has long been part of extreme-right movements (many supported the Dutch Nazi party NSB in Indonesia in the 1930s) while others belonged to the far-right of the right-wing liberal party VVD. She puts Wilders' statements in the conservative and colonial tradition of this group, which strongly believed in patriotism and "European values".

Van Leeuwen's analysis goes beyond the personal level: "The fact that Wilders obviously operates in a post-colonial political dimension, without it being recognised, says a lot about how the Netherlands dealt with, and still deals with the colonial past. Keep quiet, deny, forget and look the other way have been the motto for decades. Because of that, no one could imagine that what happened in Indonesia 50 years ago could still have its impact on modern-day politics."

And the hair? Van Leeuwen says his died mop is a "political symptom not taken serious enough". She thinks it was a brilliant move to step away from his Indonesian roots and hide his post-colonial revanchism. Although this may also be an example of his "classic Indo identity alienation."

Wilders has not responded to the publication.

The Jizyah Tax: Equality And Dignity Under Islamic Law? [Part 4]

1. The value of human life
2. The value of evidence
3. The value of human dignity

By Walter Short

Part 4 of 6

4. The value of human property

The right to the defence of personal property is usually considered a fundamental liberty, and its violation by theft is punishable in all societies, again, irrespective of the religious identity of the thief or his victim. This is not the case in all circumstance in Islamic law. The situation is somewhat ambiguous at times, especially if items haram to Muslims are concerned. [11]

Another ruling, however, suggests that if a Muslim stole an item from a Christian, such as a gold crucifix, and then stated that he did so in order to destroy this 'infidel' object, he may escape prosecution. [12] Hence, there is nothing clear-cut in Islamic law which protects the property of Christian subjects, as would be the case in most Western systems which protects all property per se, whatever people's race or faith.

Radical Salafi Islam On the Rise in Holland [Video]

The main moderate Muslim featured in this video - Ahmed Marcouch (pic. below with Imam Fawaz right) - also the Dutch Left's wonderboy for Islamic integration - caused an uproar in Holland earlier this year - when he asked for a separate Muslim state to be created inside the Netherlands - near Amsterdam. And prior to this he asked that Islam be taught in every Dutch school.

Here's what one party member said about him:
We thought that we were members of a secular party at PvdA, but Marcouch sees it primarily as his duty as a good Muslim to propagate Islam."

And hence you end up with the Wilders effect - as a balance to no only the emergence of the elephant in the room - radical Islam - but worst of Dutch politicians looking to pander to it - and thereby trade in the people's individual freedoms for their own political gain. To prove it if any Muslim party member - leaves Islam or wishes to be secular - and says anything critical of the more extreme or backward looking Muslim practises - they are virtually disowned by the PvdA party.

Labour Icon Aims for 'Blooming Muslim Community' in Amsterdam West

THE HAGUE, 13/01/09 - Labour's (PvdA) integration icon Ahmed Marcouch is at the centre of controversy once again. This time, he has made a plea for making Amsterdam-West a "town in itself" where "a blooming Muslim community" should arise.

Marcouch, Moroccan and a Muslim, is the leader of Slotervaart, one of the 14 district councils in Amsterdam. These districts, which also exist in Rotterdam, were introduced years ago following the example of the five New York boroughs. A debate has been raging for some time over the future of the district councils.

In an internal letter to other district council leaders in Amsterdam-West, Marcouch has now described his ideas for a "town in itself," which could be created by merging their district councils to form 'New West'. "A blooming Muslim community could arise with sufficient social capital. The Muslim minority would then become a positive point" and "New West could focus on the integration of immigrants", Marcouch writes.

Last year, Marcouch became the centre of controversy when he proposed introducing education about Islam in all schools. Three members of the Slotervaart district council then resigned from the PvdA. And recently, newspaper De Telegraaf reported that in 2005, Marcouch wanted to bring the Muslim Brotherhood's chief ideologist, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, to the Netherlands to participate in a congress about Islam. The Amsterdam city council prevented this.

National PvdA leader Wouter Bos has consistently praised Marcouch as a Muslim who dares to express criticism of the Islamic community, but some, including Party for Freedom (PVV) leader and MP Geert Wilders, see him as a wolf in sheep's clothing. Wilders yesterday requested clarification from the cabinet about Marcouch's letter, terming "the Islamisation desire of Amsterdam politicians perilous."

Conservative (VVD) MP Paul de Krom said in free newspaper De Pers, which obtained Marcouch's letter, that administrators must not allow themselves to be influenced by their religion. "If Marcouch means to say that he wants to strengthen the Muslim community, or that he wants to create a specific Muslim district in Amsterdam, I would consider that very unfortunate."

PvdA MP Jeroen Dijsselbloem said he "does not understand" what exactly Marcouch wants. "Muslim communities form around mosques and not along district council borders."

Clyde Moerlie, one of the three Slotervaart district council members who resigned last year, said Marcouch's letter "fits into his thinking. I see little good in the one-sided Walhalla that Marcouch wants to set up. Perhaps a district council where public servants do not have to shake hands with women, with Islam lessons in public schools. We thought that we were members of a secular party at PvdA, but Marcouch sees it primarily as his duty as a good Muslim to propagate Islam."

Radical Muslim cleric: UK writer Sebastian Faulks should face UK Sharia courts and possible death penalty

[article-0-03D8459E000005DC-141_634x407.jpg]

Wise guys!

Wonder when these Shari'a courts openly start challenging UK & EU law !

“When, with some excitement, I first read the Koran last year as research for my novel, I confess that I was disappointed by it. Sebastian Faulks

MUSLIM firebrand Anjem Choudary caused new outrage last night after demanding author Sebastian Faulks be tried before an Islamic court where the penalty could be possible execution.

He said the bestselling novelist should be hauled before a Sharia court to answer charges that he had insulted the Prophet Mohammed by describing the Koran as the “rantings of a schizophrenic”.

In the interview last week, Mr Faulks added that the English translation of the Koran was a “depressing read”.

Although the bestselling author has since apologised, Islam4UK a radical group associated with Choudary and his mentor, the banned cleric Omar Bakri Mohammed, posted an article on its website entitled, “Sebastian Faulks on a Death Wish?”

The article goes on to say that “with other individuals having faced disturbing consequences over the last few years for similar rants, [Mr Faulks] cannot provide himself an excuse for not being aware of the repercussions of such careless comments, which is a great cause for concern”.

It concludes: “May Allah punish the oppressors and deal with the slanderers.”

Mr Choudary, a former supporter of banned extremist group Al-Muhajiroun, denied writing the article, but said he agreed with its content.

The father of three, who sits as a judge in the London Sharia court and wants the “flag of Allah” flying over Downing Street, went further.

He said the murder of Dutch film director Theo van Gogh, who was killed by a Muslim extremist in 2004 after criticising Islam, should serve as a warning.

“Mr Faulks was extremely naïve for what he said and it could have some grave consequence for him,” he said.

“He’s not the first person to insult the Prophet. You can see with Theo van Gogh and Salman Rushdie and whole host of other people that it does have those consequences.

“There are many people out there who do like to take things into their own hands.

“Someone like this needs to be assessed in an Islamic court of law and if he’s found guilty then there would be capital punishment.

[rushdieNATL2206_468x311.jpg]

“It would have to be assessed by an Islamic judge, but that could only happen in an Islamic state where the Sharia is implemented.

“The Sharia court that I does not deal with things like this though. We don’t have anywhere in the world that would deal with anywhere like this yet.

“Just as we chopping the hand off a thief and stoning the adulterer, we have for the one who insults the Prophet the death penalty.”

Last night, Alexander Meleagrou-Hitchens, of the Centre for Social Cohesion, said: “Choudary and his followers are seeking to impose their will on the population of this country through subversion and incitement to violence.

“Their latest veiled threats to Sebasitan Faulks serve to provide us with yet another example of the extremist threat posed by this organisation.

“The weakness of Choudary’s fascist ideology could not be better illustrated than by his inability to provide an intellectual response to criticism, instead resorting to veiled threats and intimidation.”

However, Birdsong author Mr Faulks declined to comment. His spokeswoman said: “He apologises if his comments about the Koran have offended Muslims.”

Following the controversy surrounding his remarks, the writer, who researched the Koran for his new novel A Week in December, said: “I feel sad about this, because my new novel is carefully researched, and, among its main characters, presents a hugely sympathetic and loving Muslim family; it is furthermore made clear that the parents' kindness and good citizenship spring not just from being naturally good eggs but from their devotion to the Koran.”

He added: “When, with some excitement, I first read the Koran last year as research for my novel, I confess that I was disappointed by it.

“Raised as a child on the exciting stories of the Old Testament and inspired by the revolutionary teachings of the New, I had, perhaps naively, expected something comparable.

“The Koran has lovely passages, some of which inspire my character Farooq in the novel, but I did find it, from a literary point of view, repetitive.”

The Arabian pusher cometh: Saudi prince Turki urges U.S. to recognize its oil dependency

[geothermal.jpg]

A 2007 Massachusetts Institute of Technology report calculated the United States’ total EGS resources extracted from 3-10 km in depth to be over 13,000 zettajoules (ZJ), of which over 200 ZJ would be extractable. The potential exists to increase this to over 2,000 ZJ with technology improvements. This level of energy production is sufficient to provide the world's current energy needs for several millennia. 1 zettajoule = 1021 joules

Get your good oil - cheap !!!
Get your good oil - cheeeap !!!

Come on Africa - I know you want to buy !!
China - Anybody !!

We have our extravagant Islamic lifestyle to maintain -
and we still haven't finished our work to bring the world under Islam !!

We'll have to melt our gold toilet bowls !!

MILAN (Reuters) - The United States has no alternative to oil to meet its massive energy needs and should recognize its energy interdependence with the Middle East, Saudi Arabia's Prince Turki al-Faisal wrote in an article on Friday.

U.S. President Barack Obama has been pushing to boost green energy which cuts emissions of heat-trapping gases and reduces the use of fossil fuels. In his election campaign, Obama raised some potentially disturbing issues for the Saudis, such as ending dependence on Middle Eastern oil.

In the article translated into Italian and published by Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, Turki said energy independence was an unrealistic, groundless and harmful concept which was likely to re-emerge once economic recovery pushed oil prices up.

"There is no technology on the horizon which can replace oil to satisfy colossal needs of U.S. industry, transport and armed forces. Any future scenario will be characterized by mix of renewable and non-renewable energies whether you like it or not," Turki said.

His criticism comes as the U.S. Senate is working on a wide-ranging energy and environmental bill aimed to put limits on the amount of greenhouse gases that big industries are allowed to emit.

Turki, a former Saudi intelligence chief and envoy to Washington and London, said the United States, the world's biggest energy consumer, should put aside the rhetoric of energy independence and instead recognize interdependence of energy producers and consumers.

"Whether you like it or not, the destinies of the United States and Saudi Arabia are linked and will remain (linked) for decades," he said.

The United States is the biggest trading partner for the world's biggest oil exporter.

London Mayor Boris Johnson: 'fast during Ramadan to understand Muslims'

[boris-johnson.jpg]

Boris Johnson greases the Muslims' ego - at the notorious East London Mosque.

He starts with -

Muslims in the capital were ''challenging traditional stereotypes''

When did these 'stereotypes' arise - could that be after Muslims bombed us and further - as well as continue to try to bomb us !!

Challenging stereo-types could be down to the secret service - hard at work not only in the UK - but in all wealthier nations - including Saudi Arabia - to monitor radical groups and decrease the likelihood of a terrorist attack.

He goes on...

There are valuable lessons that people of all backgrounds can learn from Islam such as the importance of community spirit, family ties,

Family ties - as in marrying your (1st) cousins !!
And arranged marriages - to people you don't want to be married to.
Community spirit as in - if you leave the religion - your life is in their hands?

...compassion and helping those less fortunate, all of which lie at the heart of the teachings of Ramadan.''

The teachings of Ramadan - in the Islamic world - if you eat during Ramadan you will be imprisoned !!

Muslims in the capital were ''challenging traditional stereotypes'' to show they wanted to be part of the mainstream.

And that is what Muslims all started wear black and the burqa - to show they wanted to be a part of the mainstream !!

That's why I urge people, particularly during Ramadan, to find out more about Islam, increase your understanding and learning, even fast for a day with your Muslim neighbour and break your fast at the local mosque.

Yes, yes - a new British kind of Islam - as it is traditional in Islam to wage Jihad on the non-believers once the fasting is over!

...even fast for a day with your Muslim neighbour and break your fast at the local mosque.

Does he mean - 'men' break your fast at the local mosques - because some of the mosques don't allow women in them - and if they are allowed - they will have to be segregated. I think Boris is confusing the Islamic religion with Hinduism - of which his wife might belong to.

Islamic finance is contributing to the economy by changing the way Londoners invest, save, borrow and spend.

I'll simply wave my magic wand over those $USD and it will miraculously become interest free - and Kosher oops! I meant Halal!!

Boris can now say - he's not a racist - he has many Muslim friends !!

Speaking during a visit to the East London Mosque and London Muslim Centre he said Muslims in the capital were ''challenging traditional stereotypes'' to show they wanted to be part of the mainstream.

Mr Johnson's visit coincided with the holy period of Ramadan in which participating Muslims fast from dawn until sunset.

''Whether it's in theatre, comedy, sports, music or politics, Muslims are challenging the traditional stereotypes and showing that they are, and want to be, a part of the mainstream community," he said.

''That's why I urge people, particularly during Ramadan, to find out more about Islam, increase your understanding and learning, even fast for a day with your Muslim neighbour and break your fast at the local mosque. I would be very surprised if you didn't find that you share more in common than you thought.

''Muslims are at the heart of every aspect of society. Their contribution is something that all Londoners benefit from. Muslim police officers, doctors, scientists and teachers are an essential part of the fabric of London.

''Islamic finance is contributing to the economy by changing the way Londoners invest, save, borrow and spend. There are valuable lessons that people of all backgrounds can learn from Islam such as the importance of community spirit, family ties, compassion and helping those less fortunate, all of which lie at the heart of the teachings of Ramadan.''
