Demonstrators lay a black wreath at the entrance of the Swiss Embassy to protest against the results of a vote in Switzerland, in Ankara December 2, 2009. Swiss voters adopted a ban on building minarets in a referendum on Sunday, defying the government and parliament which had rejected the right-wing initiative as violating the Swiss constitution, freedom of religion and a cherished tradition of tolerance. The sign reads: "In the eyes of God, Islam is the sole religion."
The sign itself has tolerance written all over it!!
The Turkish government is in the process of confiscating the land of a monastery built 1600 years ago - 200 years before Islam's conception - on the claim the land doesn't belong to the church.
Almost all church properties around Turkey have had land taken to be used for gambling halls and other such functions.
Where mosques in Istanbul are given water free - the church has had its water shut off for non-payment of the water bill - of which the law says they can have for free!
As far as the genocide of the last Christians of any number there - the Armenians - Turkish PM Erdogan recently said 'no Muslim can perpetrate a genocide'.
