Cairo University students wearing the hijab (L), a veil which covers the hair, walk freely on campus next to women wearing a niqab, the black veil which covers the face except for the eyes, on October 7, 2009. Niqab wearing women were denied entry to the Universities dorms while the Al-Azhar sheikh, Egypts top Islamic authority, has reportedly said the niqab is not part of Islam, and plans to ban it from the prestigious Al-Azhar University campus.

That is definitely the west's problem with the burqa. No body knows who is under there!!

I think the Egyptians - like many in the western world - feel that they are being taken over by this crazy form of Islam.

Also they are bothered because they are attracting the most radical people from Europe [and probably other parts of the Middle East].

And with one swish the guy stopped it.

A few years ago - in Europe we never say these clothes - now they are everywhere. And even British police women wearing them [for a day].

The ruling is help from an unexpected source.
