Wilders will not be prosecuted for Fitna film

Amen!! It was a film which involved Muslims doing most of the talking and acting in what they believe is according to Islam - Wilders simply related those words or actions to the Koran. Muslims within Europe have fought within the courts to say that the film is anti-Islamic and therefore should be illegal. With the exception of Jordan where a case against the Wilders film was successful - outside of the Muslim world all attempts to make the film illegal have been unsuccessful.

An investigation by the Public Prosecutor's Office has concluded that no punishable offences were committed in the film Fitna by Geert Wilders and that the Freedom Party leader will not face prosecution. The PPO says statements by Mr Wilders in recent months on Islam and the Qur'an in the media and on the internet are not punishable either.

Mr Wilders released his film on the internet at the end of March. He says he made the film to show the dangers of the Qur'an and Islam. Shortly after the film's release, several organisations took legal action against it.
